Mama Lu's - Traverse City - Photo album

Visited Mama Lu’s for lunch on a visit to TC. The location is cute and had a nice atmosphere. The staff was friendly from the start and prompt in checking in on us and delivering drinks and food. The queso dip was fantastic and the guacamole was fresh. The margaritas were good & I particularly enjoy
We came here for dinner for our anniversary and were very happy with everything we had. We tried all of the tacos, and thought they were all delicious. We also ordered the guacamole which was great, and I got a shandy which I really enjoyed as well. Would definitely recommend coming here.
Greeted and seated quickly. Simple menu with unique flavor combinations. I ordered three tacos. One Panza, one shrimp and one barbacoa. The shrimp taco is very good, simple and mild. Panza is made with pork belly, sesame and slaw. Fresh flavor but not a fan of the pork belly. This taco had an Asian
Some of the taco flavors didn't work great together. However, the guacamole and the Pollo taco were amazing!! Chips & salsa weren't worth the $5.
I got 1 steak and 1 chicken taco. They both were good but I prefer the steak. I also got the street corn. It was good. I would definitely come back again when I come back to Traverse City.
Decided to give this place a try and it did not disappoint. We got the salsa and queso dip. All were tasty. Then we got a few different style of tacos and the street Corn. The corn was okay. Nothing I was too impressed with. The tacos though.....tasted so much better than I thought they wete going t
The tacos are fantastic. The chips are very good. The drinks are good if you like 'em sweet, but aren't terribly strong. But seriously, these tacos. I had the roasted pork taco and it was perfectly prepared with just enough heat. My fiancèe's potato taco was equally delicious, with a nice smokiness.
A really hip, fun modern take on tacos! Our favorite part of our meal was the mango margarita, which honestly might have been the best margarita I’ve ever had before! Also really enjoyed the yummy appetizers including street corn, and the Spanish rice. Tacos were good but more standard in my opin
One of our favorite stops in all of TC. Chips and guacamole are amazing. Nachos and tacos out of this world. Pairs well with an ice cold Corona and a Mango Margarita! Salud!
Very good food! Came here after checking reddit for food reccs and it did not disappoint! We got mango margaritas - amazing! It's a must drink! Had some street corn and it tasted so heavenly with the cotija cheese and the lime mayo. For the tacos, we tried the carne, lechon asado, pescado and camaro
We ordered the guacamole which was yummy then we ordered the chicken, carne asada, al pastor and the vegetarian tacos the vegetarian was by far the best second would be the carne asada the chicken taco was so incredibly salty it was not enjoyable and the al pastor was not the best I've had..our wait
The tacos are pretty good - try the pescado! The guac is great and they have some great salsa made in house. We enjoyed eating here. Giving it four stars because the menu was pretty limited and the seating felt a little crammed. Overall, it's an awesome little spot.
Great Unique Taco Shoo, with Exciting Food Fair. The Taco's were delicious. The menu simple and easy. The wait staff was Stupendous and made ordering so easy. 5 Stars for Lunch all the way. Left filled and Smiling. A cloud lifting me as a left. Felt Great. Thank you.
The food is spectacular and the atmosphere is as well. The only issue is that the service can be very slow when it gets busy, however I believe they have a limited wait staff so I don’t fault them for it.
4 starts cause the churros and flavor combinations of the tacos were great but the tortillas need to be cooked properly. They tasted like the cold store bought corn tortillas you get at the store. I also didn't like how my server was just wearing a long t-shirt. It felt like yall just hired a rando
We had the best margarita in town at this place. Their cucumber habanero margarita is a must try. We also had a bunch of different tacos - pollo (chicken), pescado (fish) and vegetal (fried potato). All of them tasted delicious with lots of coriander that gave it a fresh taste! The vibe is chilled o
This place is killer. The day we were there it was absolutely packed, but the staff were able to fit us in at the end of the bar. The tacos are a little on the pricey compared to other Taquerias I've eaten at but it was worth it. The flavors were awesome and balanced. The beer they have specifical
Good tacos , being from Texas I’m fairly particular. The presentation and service were good. Music was a little loud , even though we dined outside. The carnitas was our favorite taco but the others were good.
