Good casual spot with great food! Every time I come here I have a hard time not ordering the Havarti Dill Cheese Sticks and... (wait for it) the French onion soup! I’m not an extremely crazy soup person, but their French onion soup is truly unique, hearty, filling, and delicious. It definitely stands out! I’ve also had burgers here that were also amazing. Worth a stop if you’re nearby and looking for some good homey bar food.

Went to this place for special occasion with my family (2kids). The restaurant was kind to accommodate us and gave cozy place. When I looked the menu, I loved the beer choices, I started with a peninsula pale ale and my wife with the lager... We loved it. The lager was light and refreshing while peninsula pale ale was smooth n tasty. My Second beer was East Bay IPA.... Right at first sip I fell in love with this beer. Alas, they don't sell six pack of their classic beers. But this makes me come to this place to have a nice beer and enjoy the snacks. Their house made tortilla chips and salsa is very good along with onion rings.

Really good food and brew. Got the Helles lager and some pulled pork Mac and cheese. Fantastic! Grinds of mine got the club sandwich and 1/2 slab of smoked ribs.

This restaurant is one of our favorites. Every time we visit the area we go here. You can’t go wrong with any dish you pick. Last year we stuck to burgers and nachos. This year, I ventured out and had the pecan crusted walleye… it was absolutely amazing and I’m still craving it. I can’t wait to go back and dine in again. Great atmosphere and convenient location!

We are having the best time here! First time in Traverse City and we are so glad we came here. The bartender Cathy is the woman to see, hilarious and knows everything about the beers, food, and locale. The reuban and beef brisket sandwiches are a must!!! Every meat is smoked in house too. We will be coming back here again on this trip and the next time we come to MI

The service was excellent and the restaurant was very busy when we came. It was a decent meal....a little pricey. My portabello grill sandwich was huge but also bland. My favorite was definitely the spinach artichoke dip! It had lots of artichokes and a really good flavor.

This place did not disappoint. They're very covid-19 friendly. Social distancing and masks are required. The servers were also checking each other's Temps in front of the public which gave a sense of awareness and security during these troubled times. The meal, lunch was absolutely phenomenal. I personally got the olive burger which had both green and black olives I added the all cheese is available as well. It was by far amazing, the best olive burger I've had. We also got the white fish sandwich which not a fish person myself I felt that it was also great 5 out of 5 stars. The sampler platter was a new take. This was the best sampler platter I've ever eaten. It's not the fried bar food that typically comes on the sampler platter at a pub but ribs and roast and sausage all worked well together with the Smoky BBQ sauce that came out with it. By far one of the best dining experiences I've had in Traverse City. I highly suggest the restaurant as the atmosphere is quaint and the service is quite friendly and fast. Kathy our server was absolutely friendly and personable. Had great suggestions and open dialogue with us. I would come back here just to have Kathy wait on us again. As we sat here patrons walk out calling her by name and saying thank you. She alone is a 5 out of 5 stars.

Sat outside on the back deck. Delightful view of the west bay. Ordered the chicken spinach salad and the fish and chips. Both were delicious. Three pieces of fish breaded perfect served with fries. The salad was more than adequate, in fact Jennifer couldn't finish it. The GT Golden beer was great.

Great wait staff, several craft beers to choose from, food was plentiful and pretty good. Is a quite noisy when busy. Hard to carry on a conversation without raising your voice. High tables are nice. Great location downtown Traverse City.

Went here on a Tuesday night, wasn’t too busy so service was quick and we had an excellent server. I had the perch and my husband had the whitefish. I had the seasonal blood orange beer, which was really good.

Great atmosphere and fantastic service. Tori was our server and was polite, cordial, and very helpful. He tuna nicoise salad was very good, but could have been prepared with a better quality lettuce or addition of spinach. Overall a great experience.

Mackinaw Brewing Company - Traverse City MI - this was a fun visit while in Traverse City, MI. Lots of shopping and places to visit near this historic building and business. They were super busy but got us in fast, seated - our waiter was amazing, had our beers and appetizers (Dill Havarti sticks - WOW) to us almost immediately. Our sandwiches were delicious - she had the Pub Club and I had the Perch sandwich - everything was perfect and given how busy they were - that's even more amazing - only great things to say about the Mackinaw Brewing Company - it was fun

Cool place. GOOD FOOD!!!!!!!!! Busy, even on a Tuesday— but enough room at the bar. BIG beers-Definitely a pour for the $$. Friendly staff, good selection of wine and spirits. Small, but good selection of brewed beers.

Quite possibly the world's finest Reuben can be found here. They smoke the brisket, make the sauerkraut, and the 1000 Island dressings in house. Paired with their Peninsula Pale Ale you won't be disappointed.
