I got to hang out with the best people, eating the best food, all the while on a natural high at Trenton's best watering hole. This must not be kept secret. I will be back.

We went for the first time last night. First let me start off with the owners and employees are very nice and make you feel like you are at home. We ordered our food and the portion sizes were huge and the food was out of this world good! I would recommend this little gem to all of my friends and family who are looking for a good home cooked meal.
My family and I had dinner here on Saturday.
What a special treat! The place reminds you of a little cafe in Europe. The service was good and the food was unbelievably delicious!
Really homemade, authentic dishes!
Can't believe we never tried it before, will certainly be returning, and soon!

A truly wonderful dining experience! Loved the old world, authentic decor. We sampled many dishes and all exceeded expectations. Everything was so fresh and perfectly prepared. Even the China it was served on was beautiful. Our waitress was so accommodating and an absolute pleasure to have serving us.
Overall, a 5 Star dinner in a charming restaurant with top notch service!! We will definitely be back🥂
The Blue Danube is a gem on Adeline Street near Beatty and Lalor Streets in Trenton. I've always enjoyed their German-Romanian fare. On this visit I tried the Mititei (Romanian sausages of ground beef and veal) served with a brown mustard and a slaw of thinly sliced peppers, cantoloupe, and tomatoes. The tomato-potato soup was awesome. Thick and creamy. For my main course I selected Wiener Schnitzel with lemon wedges and German style green beans. Both delicious! Wide selection of world beers, wines, and spirits, including a Romanian vodka that I'm told was good! This is not a restaurant for the feint of heart; it's authentic German-Eastern European food - no nouveau here. Highly recommended!
There were eight of us who dined recently at the Blue Danube. We each enjoyed different and wonderful Eastern European dishes. I had planned to have the weinerschnitzel ever since I saw their menu on line. I was NOT disappointed! It was fantastic and accompanied by wonderful side dishes.
The service was perfect and the ambiance absolutely charming. Next time I will be ordering the sauerbraten. Save room for dessert!
Had a magical experience eating lunch at Blue Danube. I got there at the end of the lunch schedule and had the perogies. Margaret was the best and told me all about the history of the restaurant and how she and her husband came to own and run it. The food was beautiful and delicious. Can't wait to come back!!!
Túrós Scuza is a flavor explosion of abundant tastes that will satisfy your cravings for a taste of European cuisine, at an affordable price in a pleasant traditional white tablecloth restaurant.
Incredible food and cozy atmosphere! Chicken paprishka was excellent as well as the rice pudding!
Best Hungarian cuisine and Italian food in all of Trenton !!!! Tastes just like homemade, just like my Grandma used to make when I was little, for Sunday dinner after church. The food here is so delicious, it takes you back to childhood, when Grandma cooked Hungarian-Polish stuffed cabbage and chicken paprakash for Sunday dinner and Gospel music played all day on the radio every Sunday. The sausage is so tender and the pierogies are so cheesy and potato-y. Highly recommended !!!!!!!!
I have been coming to this restaurant for years. I went with a friend today and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I had the Filet Mignon; best steak I ever had. Can't wait to go back.
I hadJaeger Schnitzel-
wiener schnitzel topped with mushroom gravy
For dessert the Apple Strudel
Love Retro places like this...Food and ambiance are both very good..Service was good
The only knocks would be parking and lack of any kind of wine or cocktail menu.
I will definitely be back
The chicken paprikas was superb and plentiful. Attentive and friendly service. Great old world ambience. Looking forward to coming back again.

If you want authentic eastern European food, this is the place to go. Family owned, service is a bit slow but worth the wait. Made to feel very welcomed, got historical info, very authentic food and wine like Gramma used to make. Ordered the Danube sampler as an entree to get a taste of everything. Sooo good! Try the salad with dill dressing. Can't wait to go back.
