The crust was alittle thinner then I like. But it was a good tasting pizza. The large antipasta salad for the price could use more lettuce . especially considering a table sharing it. Very nice friendly service. Family type ran. We would enjoy going back for pizza night out. I hear their pasta dishes are very good.

Del's House Special Pizza is the best pizza I have ever had. I have traveled and had pizza's all over the USA at different restaurant's and Del's House Special Pizza is #1 for me! Try it you'll like it! I love it!

Got a large pineapple and bacon pizza. Service was fast. Talked to the owner while waiting for her daughter to bring my order out. Very nice, sweet lady. Highly recommend trying them out.

Great food and a staple of Trenton. Has a old time pizzeria feel and also has a bar. Probably should mention that the pizza and salad are like no other. The quality ingredients and preparation that go into both are known in every bit. Make sure you show up hungry cause this is food that you’ll want a lot of.

He had my daughter's bridal shower there and 22 years ago I had her baby shower there. Restaurant is clean every one is polite and we had no problems whatsoever. I highly recommend this restaurant explanation point!

Although my pizza was ready on time is was the saddest pizza. The dough was thin had a bitter aftertaste and was blackened on the bottom because the pan probably had not been washed us who knows how long - not going there again. Used to be a great place but they are really cutting corners on quality .

The best pizza in downriver not even close. House special is my favorite. Stuff shells are great and their salad is amazing.

It was good. The pizza was greasy but it's an old school Italian pizza restaurant. The service was a little slow but over all.. not a bad Experience.

Del's is an ICON in Trenton, as is Tony Mazella.. you can stop in there after years of being away, and he can tell you what your address and phone number was 40-50 years ago! The Pizza is awesome, but the people are the BEST!

Authentic Italian Cuisine,

If you have never eaten at Del's you are missing out on one of the oldest authentic Italian restaurants downriver. Not only is the pizza THE BEST from the homemade crust & sauce, the other menu items are just as good. Same management for 66 years. They are also nominated for the Pizza hall of fame. Give them a try and find out why. Iv'e been a fan for 50+ years
ChicagoSS
Pizza!. Just tried the pizza for the first time the other day. Being from Chicago, the pizza capital of the world, I guage my Michigan pizza restaurants by how long they would last in Chicago. Most places in the Detroit area, including the local pizza metropolis chain, wouldn't last a week. Del's would last as long as they wanted in Chicago. Chicagoans would choose Del's.

This is simply one of the best pizzas I have had since moving here in '99. I am elated that it is practically in my backyard now.

The interior is old school with a ton of history. Some of the other posts mentioned that the inside was dark. When I visited just the other day it was maybe too bright.

Best Pizza Best Food No Doubt!. Del's Pizza is the best has been around for 60 years- momma Del is the best!!! You can see in the pics I posted the food (pizza and salad) looks as good as it tastes - hockey families LOVE Dels! It has never failed me. Its the best comfort food around.

theres a reason they been in business for that many years they do it good. not sure why one guy has to pick on an elderly lady momma Del he must need anger management classes could be the village idiot hard to believe this guy has kids.

Nasty, outdated and surprised still in business. I placed an order for the first time after reading this was a hidden gem in the Detroit area. I ordered a pizza half with pepperoni for the kids, half with pepperoni and green pepper for adults and asked the woman to repeat it after she completed the order....... she repeated it back wrong. I corrected the error. When I pick the pizza and manicotti up it's almost $2.00 more than expected since the woman did not give me a total on the phone and menu prices are outdated. When I get home the pizza is wrong, I have half green pepper and half green pepper and pepperoni and the manicotti is made with lasagna noodles rolled up, mushy and soggy from not being fresh and then microwaved. Little caesars has better food

Good Ole' 1980's Pizza Joint. I have to say it kind of feels you step back into the late 80's when you walk through the door. From the old school Pac Man video games to the baseball card vending machine that still has 86 Topps cards in it!!

The pizza is great! The Crust is like your eating a dinner roll with ever slice and the sauce is so simple but fanstatic!! They actually do serve dinner rolls that are wonderful hard rolls but so soft and chewy all at the same time!
They do have a bar and a very surprisingly great beer selection!!
This place holds very strange hours, probably based on the arrons the family has going on that day:-) It is dark inside and probably not quite the cleanest but if your feeling like some great pizza and a trip back in time all for a great price definetly check this place out!
I haven't tried anything other then pizza and salad but have hear the entire menu is great! Enjoy!

Don't Blink. Someone told me about this place, so I looked for it. I missed it going down West Jefferson. I ended up at Elizabeth Park. So I circled the park, and on my way out, I found it on the right side of Jefferson before I got to West Rd. Very dark in there. Service was a bit slow. The pizza, Mama Mia. I got the House special. All the ingredients were Fresh. Mutta Bene.(Very Good).
