Review Randy's Bbq - Troutman

Best BBQ spot around hands down. The staff is very attentive and friendly. My wife and I happened to mention the fact that it was our first time there and they gave us banana puddin on the house as a welcome gift. Id never had banana pudding before but WOW ill be ordering that again. The BBQ was tender and juicy the slaw was light and tangy the BBQ beans were smokey and delicious even the fries and hush puppies were perfectly prepared. In addition we got an order of fried pickles which was phenomenal. We will definitely be back!

Excellent food and service. Very clean and interesting decor. The building has lots of character. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Many gluten free options. Be sure to bring cash or check.

Classic NC BBQ joint. Stopped in for dinner had the sliced pork (never had it slice before) it was a huge portion and very juicy. Also ordered a bag of pork rinds that were freshly made that day as they had the date written on the bag they were excellent. We mentioned to our super friendly waitress that we were first timers and she gave us a complementary Banana pudding. I am not a desert guy but it creamy, freshly made and a great ending to our meal. So many more items on the menu that I am going back to try.

What a fun place! Loved the kitschy decor. I got the small barbecue tray, sliced, with red slaw. There was so much food I took half of it home, and had to buy a bottle of sauce to go because it was so good. Our server Tia was fantastic, too.

This was my 1st time here. I must say I was very disappointed ☹️. The beans tasted like beans you get in a can from Campbell's and it was seasoned with French's mustard added to it. The sliced pork was very dry and no flavor at all. If your going to be a bbq restaurant...and pork is all you do. It must be done well. Especially when BBQ chicken is only a special on Wed. Sorry but I will satisfy my BBQ cravings elsewhere.

Very good NC Pork BBQ; sides also very good. Servers very friendly and helpful. It was our first visit and the server explained the difference in sauces. Had banana pudding which.was also top notch. Note that sign said "cash or check only".

Just happened to be in Troutman this afternoon and my husband and I were debating where to eat. We came across Randy’s BBQ and decided to try it(who doesn’t love NC BBQ) Anyway, we were not disappointed! The food was delivered hot and was so delicious. My opinion is that this is the best BBQ in the area and our server Amanda was awesome!!!!!!

Wow! Best pulled pork ever. We were from out of the state and throughly enjoyed the food, servers, fun statues and picnic table outside. The BBQ was vinegar based but not too vinegary. The slaw, the red one was spicy. Sweet tea was divine and lets talk banana nilla wafer pudding! Blast from my past from my Aunt making it in the south for family reunions. It made me think of her. The hush puppies were light, not greasy and sweetish bit not like dessert sweet. They were PERFECT! Light batter with a super crunch! I didn’t get a photo of the foot long hotdog but my family loved it. Portions are very generous and after we ate we were greeted by maybe Randy coming out of the restaurant thanking us for coming. Now, thats southern hospitality!!! If we are ever down here again I will be getting the fried okra too.
