The Yaak River Tavern is a place to feel welcomed, relaxed and grateful. I had a wonderful experience there. The staff and owner are gracious and give great service. The event staff for the Yaak River Fest were great as well. I'll be back!

Omgoddess, what can I say about their hospitality - the best! The food is great (the turkey sandwich with banana peppers is to die for) and the beer is cold. We will be back!

In the middle of nowhere about 1.75 hours from Cranbrook in Montana lies a little community called Yaak, where a bunch of folks with big hearts and open arms accepted us Canadians from B.C. at their River Jam Music Festival. We had a blast being entertained, meeting new folks, and making new friends. Good eats, cold beer, awesome people! Hope to make it back for the 3rd annual or maybe a shorter trip for just to stop in.

We have been coming to the Yaak River for over thirty years. In all that time, the mercantile has been a great place to visit. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming for a visit over the 4th of July. We never miss the fireworks display!!

The "Merc", as we call it, never ceases to impress my family and me. It's incredibly family-friendly and generally accommodating nature makes us feel right at home there. The owners are clearly committed to creating a community space and we appreciate it so much. The Merc hosted the rehearsal dinner for my husband and me the day before our wedding. They bent over backwards to make it an incredible evening and we were more than confident in their hosting abilities! We love spending time at the merc!

I recently had the pleasure of being in Yaak when the YAAK River Tavern & Mercantile hosted and sponsored a fund raising auction event to benefit the Wings program for regional cancer patients. The staff, volunteers and community were awesome. It was A VERY WELL put together & attended event. I appreciate the level of detail and the effort you put into obtaining the diverse & amazing auction items. Your buffet was outstanding as has been everything I've tried on your menu. I also want to thank the staff for the most friendly service. It was indeed a pleasure! Kudos to you all!

Hay all, about a decade ago I was sent to Libby to do some work for a while, When there I would travel the scenic vistas of the beautiful mountain scenery. On one of those weekends I had the great honor of visiting Yaak. But I did so for a reason to use the one, the only Yaakomat laundry facilities across the street from the Mercantile. As I sat there on the bench outside the Yaakomat and watched the people come and go I got the sense that time had stood still away from the hubbub of the outside world. People took their time with things, not in a rush, a good thing I thought. And I had pleasant common sense conversation with folk. I had a really good time, felt relaxed and all. Now keep in mind I came up from Florida to work in Montana. Here is the thing. The weekend I visited Yaak was the weekend of the World Series in Baseball where at that time it was the Marlins verses the Yankees. As I stood there in the pub of the Mercantile I clearly remember all the men standing around rooting for the Marlins over the Yankees. Now that to me was some good down home common sense and I couldn't have felt more at home, and yes the Marlins won the series so you folks in Yaak forever have a place in my heart, and God willing I make it back there sometime to once again do my wash at the Yaakomat and enjoy your most hospitable community...Thank you all...
