It's been a little while since we came here for the last time....and like the time before, it didn't disappoint!!!
The wet burrito was amazing and other ppl at my table had tacos and they were raving about them.
The service was great, she was super nice and advised on dietary restrictions.
We were able to bring our pups in the patio and had a great time. Will definitely be going back next time in Truckee
Stumbled upon, by accident. Or, Providence!
Practically everything here is homemade. Except for the flour tortillas. The chips were outstanding, and the two sauces, both green and red. Make sure you add some Habanero hot sauce or green hot sauce if you prefer a little bit of an afterburner.
We tried the hibiscus drink which was also outstanding. In addition, we had tacos, carne asada, which were out of this world!
Our new go to place in Truckee. We'll be back!

Towards the end of the main path you’ll find COMO, a zesty Mexican eatery where most were seated outside. It was a chilly day for us so we ventured inside and were met with groovy 70s tune and a psychedelic mural on the wall. Once in, our friendly server Isis who couldn’t be any cooler and chill with her killer smile and wavy brown curls took our orders. We got the tacos, burritos, queso dip, and chix tortilla soup. For drinks we had their margaritas, modelo and Cabernet. The tacos come w hand made corn tortillas that albeit were a little tender and broke easily, tasted magnificent and went super well with our carnitas, carne asada, fish, shrimp, and cauliflower tacos. Each taco had their own unique flavoring, glad we went for the different options. My chix tortilla soup came brimming w toasted tortillas and was the best Mexican sopa I’ve had in my life. Our little piggie Greg ordered the burrito, had it wet style, which meant that it came topped with both their red and green sauce, that tasted so good it made his eyes roll to the back of his head and squeal w delight. The margs came w freshly squeezed lime juice, the only way a good margarita is made. Our food came fast, our service was good, and the food tasted was great! Glad we made a pit stop in Truckee.
Absolutely love Como! It’s our first stop when get to Truckee. The chicken tortilla soup and chorizo breakfast burrito are delish! The carne asada tacos are amazing, the meat is so tender. The margaritas go down very quickly there as you sit back and enjoy the atmosphere and food. Staff is always friendly and attentive.
We had lunch here on a Tuesday and sat outside despite the chilly weather (we had our dog with us).
Nicole our server made sure we had a heat lamp and took great care of us.
It was taco Tuesday with $7.50 margaritas and three of their tacos were $2.50 each . I loved the cauliflower pastor and would order three of them next time. The pork negra
taco was really good but the pollo verde wasn’t that great.
My husband has the mushroom burrito and enjoyed it too.
Next time we need to go without the dog so we can sit inside. It has a very cool vibe and let Nicole it’s hoppin’ at night.
Definitely worth checking out if you are nearby.
Taco’s were delicious, drinks were amazing and service was outstanding. Would definitely recommend. I’ll be returning for sure.
Stopped by here after a hike Thanksgiving weekend. They have a dog friendly patio. Food was excellent, especially the huge chunks of chicken in the tortilla soup. Amelia was our server and was great! Super attentive. I will come back next time!
Food was delicious and came out quickly. Service was over the top! Masha, our server, was absolutely amazing and so very kind! We had the queso, house made salsas, and both my husband and I got 3 tacos each. So freaking good, especially with the freshly made tortillas. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in town!
Nice place to stop in and grab some street tacos. The service was great and the food was pretty good. Try to Como Margarita. It is outstanding.
Second time I’ve been here. Got the tacos the first time, phenomenal! Got the shrimp burrito this time and it was fantastic! Justin was our server, he was so great, right on with recommendations and really attentive. Will definitely be back!
Steve and Bob are great personable bartenders. Justin was our bartender last night and equally great. The food is very good. The atmosphere is chill and fun. First stop when coming in to town every time!
Some of the best Cali Mexican I've had in a long time. Tried most of their tacos and was very please. Como margarita is also on point. Highly recommend!

Best experience! The food was delicious the service was awesome and the view on the patio was breathtaking. My husband had a lover affair with the street tacos. The food was fresh, seasoned perfectly.
I stopped in Truckee for a pit stop and some tacos. COMO was the ticket! Great tacos, I grabbed them from the bar to go, and they were delicious. The bartender got me
chips and salsa as I waited for the tacos to come out and the salsa was excellent. I highly recommend it, and the next time I stop in Truckee I’ll be back to COMO.
Bar tender is amazing!!! Service is amazing!!! Food is amazing!!! great vibes, great attitude and everyone had a really good table service. The kind of place that makes u feel at home. Absoulte love the feel everyone brings to the place.one of the best places to eat and drink in tahoe!
Wow, managed to get a seat in the corner, out of the wind, under a heater hoping to have some good food. And we did. We had the Carne Asada, Shrimp and Fish tacos. Liked them so much that we ordered a Carnitas, Salsa Negra and another Fish. Hands down the fish was the best, but so was the rest. The tortillas are hand made, ingredients were good, meats, seasonings everything... great. I tried the Dirty Scooby, it was unique..but not sure I'd order it again..but my wife's Margarita was great.
Living in some super strange days we are! Was turned away from an Italian restaurant called Pianeta a few doors up the path from COMO for not wearing a mask. Here at COMO I was greeted with total kindness and respect, was not discriminated against in any way. In the perfection of things the food here at COMO is outstanding. These are certainly the best tacos in Truckee California maybe the the best tacos within hundreds of miles of this restaurant. Their guac and salsas are fresh made in-house. This restaurant has turned my frown upside down. COMO - THANK YOU FOR THE GENUINE HOSPITALITY and fantastic food (so good!). Stars upon stars, COMO wins the Milky Way of stars tonight💫✨🌟🙌
Lovely patio with ample people watching. Get a sample of a couple tacos and share. They have heaters outside for when it gets chilly. Also have large bar area and inside seating. Killer guacamole!
