Reviews Dominick's Real Italian

I am going to admit to eating A LOT of pizza but Dominick's really is the BEST in town, maybe the best I've ever had (and I've eaten pies in NYC AND Chicago) The crust is perfect and the choice of toppings is better than places in town that are just 'pizza joints' which Dom's isn't. This is a neighborhood spot with class! Super family friendly with a great kids menu and the entree dishes are swanky with out breaking the bank. They also have a great selection of adult beverages! Local stuff like Barrio Blonde and Catalina Amber Ale or Del Bac Distillery whiskey, a fun wine list that changes all the time OR if 18 year old scotch is more your thing.... Can you tell we love it at Dom's? Seriously try it!

Best freaking pizza we've ever had. My husband, son, and I go back again and again - we're never disappointed by the pizza or the garlic knots. The service is a bit slow and underwhelming but the pizza makes up for it in a big way. I highly recommend the meat lover's pizza.

Glad to see a local business so busy! For the size of their restaurant, it must be difficult to find room for everyone as soon as they enter. We were seated in the front room right away & greeted shortly after. Great food, decent price. Our server was incredibly friendly & the hostess was extremely graceful in apologizing to some people that were rude to her. You guys rock, we'll definitely be back!

They have the best linguine and clams in Tucson (MUCH MUCH MUCH better than Tony's on the Pier in Redondo Beach). The pizza is unbelievable. Soooooo good! They even have gluten free and dairy free pizza if you desire; I have never tried it so have no opinion. I love the Italian Stallion sandwich, OMG! And they deliver. Just be sure to call an hour and half before you plan to eat. You can also call ahead and get carry out food, which is much quicker. Service can be spotty. We live 1/2 minute away, so we've been at different days and different times. Sometimes the service is amazingly good. Sometimes the service is amazingly awful. Either way it's always been worth going.

My wife and I tried Dominick's for the first time last night. What a wonderful experience. The staff was amazingly friendly, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great both for our romantic evening and the number of families with small children. The live music was a bonus, too. Yes, it took a little while for the food to come out, but this is a small business where they make the food fresh, not pulling it out of a freezer. I'm ok with waiting for good food, especially when the staff is so friendly and attentive. The portions were perfect, and the value for what we payed was spot on. We have a new date restaurant! Thank you again for making our anniversary dinner so memorable and special.

This is THE best Italian food ! I'm from the East coast and this is classic Italian food the way I remember it. My family and I will definitely be returning.

I brought 3 friends for a birthday luncheon. Wonderful service & food, of course! We started with your homemade fried cheese ravioli, then the large chopped salad and, a delicious large Margherite pizza. Yummmm! Thanks again for another great celebration!

First off my husband and I have been ordering from here since they opened, closest we've found to New York pizza. Seriously have told everyone about it. Secondly all their other food is amazing (consistently) Third of all the one time we got a bum dish (we're talking once out if 100 plus times) we took it back they more than made it right. They definately do care about their customers. *****All you hangry people need to calm down with your 1 stars!

While visiting my parents we decided to go there for dinner. The first thing I noticed was they held the door for us as we entered, I think it was the owner. Very nice of them! We all (7) was seated and drinks were served and our order was taken. Great service and the owner came over and chatted with us all witch was quite nice. Thanks for a wonderful dinner and will return.

LOVE Dominick's! My boyfriend and I have become regulars. The food is outstanding and atmosphere is super cozy! They seem to be locally owned (aka not a large chain with mass produced food), they get slammed and service falls behind. Totally worth the wait!!

Nice little restaurant- food was tasty and the environment was nice. Fairly quiet as well. Our waitress was great - very friendly and kind. Only complaint was the ravioli seemed a bit expensive for what I got ($18 - averages out to $1 per ravioli…) Happy with my dinner though.

Gluten Free pizza was great! Crust was tasty. Husband had linguine with hot Italian sausage…marinara was tasty and the hot Italian sausage was pleasantly hot. Our waitress was fantastic. The cranberry margaritas made for the holidays will be my to go drink. Really tasty.

Popped in today for my lunch break and got the sausage and peppers sandwich. Came out fast and it was delicious! Didn't get my server's name but she was great. Very attentive and never let my glass go empty. The vibe inside is very relaxing too. I will be back. I love this place

We have enjoyed several meals from this neighborhood gem and will continue to do so. Every dish has been absolutely fresh, delicious and our entire family has been pleased. Tonight we enjoyed the veggie & meat lovers pizza, BBQ wings, homemade cheesecake and spumoni.

Dominick’s… you are Tucson’s hidden gem. You are beautiful. You are exquisite. I used to live only a couple minutes away, and only found you once I’ve left and came back to visit. One of, if not, the best in town.

Probably best Italian in the area although not sure if it’s worth traveling out of the way if you aren’t in the area. Tap list is decent. Service is a bit slow but very helpful and nice. Taste is great, although sausage seems a bit stringy. Noodles above average as well as marinara sauce.

First time visiting this joint and it was clean and I was seated very quickly. Server was prompt to fill any order I had and kept my glass full. The pizza was very good and filling. I would recommend this pizza to anyone wanting a nice alternative to the normal fast food pizza. Great pizza and great service. 👍

I'd love to give them 5 stars but our service had some hiccups along the way. The food was really, really good and we'll definitely be back. My kids loved it. Kids 5 and under are supposed to eat spaghetti free but they screwed that up. The main hiccup though was my wife ordering a dessert to go, you know, like in a box. She said it three times. It was brought out on a plate, she returned it kindly asking for it to be boxed. It was brought out one more time on a plate and sent back once again before it arrived in a box. Not a big deal, but not 5 stars. Like I said, the food was hot and really good and we'll definitely be back

Small, unassuming strip mall entrance, but large inside. A nice full bar with plenty of seating as well as 2 good sized dining areas. Really, really good Italian food. Best around, plus reasonable prices, prompt service, in a nice and quiet atmosphere. I had the Pasta Rustica with a Domick's salad. Delicious, Capers, olives and a fresh tomato sauce. The local craft beer selection is excellent. I had Hardcastle (if I remember correctly - if not, I'm fairly close) which is a bitter hazy IPA that I loved. There are many other interesting dishes and local craft beers to try so I will be back soon. Next time time I want to try the clams in white sauce which another in our party raved about. Also The risutto side which I sampled and wished I had ordered myself. As good, I think even better than any I have ever had. Oh, be sure to order cannoli for desert. It's made fresh daily inhouse. Outstanding! I had the mini with chocolate topping and took 4 more home for friends.

Yum yum for my tum tum! The wifey and I ventured here for the first time it they did not disappoint! On a Friday night there was live music and the place was packed. They seated us with 10 minutes or so. Inside is nice and clean with a good Italian feel and proper low lighting. You get free garlic knots (unlimited so no need to order) with marinara sauce. They were decent but not the best. I ordered a large Dominiks pizza and my wife got the spinach calzone and minestrone soup. Our 3 items were all delicious. Serious nom-noms. Waiter was nice, had humor, and was pretty attentive. I highly recommend you go here. Our meal with tip (waters for drink) was $45.
