I have never been disappointed with my meal and today was no different. Our server Chris was also super friendly. Thanks so much guys!
Wonderful atmosphere and service only to be out done by the to die for food. Hanger steak and Eggs is divine!!!!
Finding this gem was great, everytime ive gone the staff are very welcoming, the fare is delicious and I like the open space where you can see the chefs, the atmosphere is bright, the outside patio feature is very sweet.
Loved it!! No many places in tucson give a good impression right off top but they did it. Great seating and vibe plus we both thoroughly enjoyed our food. Keep up the awesome work and food!
P.S.
Our waitress was amazing!!
Inventive takes on traditional breakfast offerings. Try one of the Benedict variations, or their version of Huevos Ranchero. Excellent food, good service and a hip downtown venue.
Biscuits with chorizo gravy and the tamale pie were great. We topped them off with some bellinis and started the day off right.
The staff is very nice and the food here is prepared beautifully. I like the seating and outdoor area as well. First time there the other day and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. For sure going to go again. Keep up the good work 😊🌵
It is always fun to have brunch at The Nook. The service is so good and the food is outstanding.
Best brunch ever. Seriously. We ordered the croque madame with the smashed hash, almond-crusted french toast, and the biscuits and gravy and it was all AMAZING. Not heavy or greasy at all and SO delicious. And my mom says they have the best chai lattes and strawberry champagne cupcakes she's ever had. Not to mention the service was excellent and the restaurant itself is so cute!
The food and service is always awesome!! I will truly miss this place when I move! :-(
Hand crafted food at its best ! One of the best places to take visitors out to lunch .
Great breakfast here! Different than the American cuisine norm.
We had Hueve rancheros, Cinnamon roll pancakes, breakfast tamale pie, and green salad. All very good meals. Yum yum yum to the cinnamon roll pancakes !
Friendly staff. Cool indoor atmosphere.
Dog friendly outdoor patio, enclosed in back, with dining tables as well as couches & coffee tables to relax with drinks. Patio does have shade from surrounding buildings, and sun if you prefer. You can use one of their large standing umbrellas if you need to be out of sun.
I’ll be back to try their lunch items.
My official review : Nook
Well I came here once before and had an average time, then I came again to treat my father for some breakfast and eat with my younger brother.
As picky as many of reviews are, of course it is indicate critical factors on a good establishment.
I’ll mark it for good food at best. Although there were not many people eating there at the service the service was very slow. Apart from the service being slow the attentiveness lacked very much as well.
One thing that really bothered me though was that if I order a steak which I did at the most recent time I expect a nice steak I can cut into and chow down on. In this case what I received was a steak already cut up for me. As someone who really enjoys his steak and the experience it brings alongside it, this bothered me incredibly.
Mind you though the steak was delicious and the food exceptional just wasn’t prepared to feel like a child who could not cut his own steak and needed it done for me.
Well I rate this place good in terms of food but I’m my personal time it’s not really a place I would frequent.
Thank you.
Nice location and diverse menu profile. I had the overnight oats; except it was way too sweet. I do not recall oats being super sweet. I did like the creaminess of the oats! There was also lots of fruits embedded inside: pineapple, strawberry, watermelon and grapes.
This place was such a pleasant surprise! Housed at street level of an office building downtown I didn't expect the interior to feel so warm and welcoming. Low lighting, wood accents, photos of the Barrio add local flavor. Even better, there's a large outdoor courtyard.
The food was outstanding! From the warm, perfectly textured housemade blueberry scones to the Shakshuka Benedict served on chickpea patties, everything was exceptional!
Definitely worth a visit or two! Had been recommended to try Nook by a number of people, and was not disappointed! Had the poblano sausage breakfast sandwich and partner had the breakfast burro, both were delicious and very filling! Service was very friendly and helpful.
Had breakfast at Nook with a friend. We shared the blueberry scones (yum!). My friend had the breakfast tamale pie, which was highly recommended by staff. She agreed with them. I had the Nickel and Lox plate. Dark, grilled pumpernickel bread, with their DELICIOUS, in house, cold smoked salmon, a beautifully savory dill creamed cheese, chopped Capers and hard-boiled egg and so much more. Just lovely. Service was on point, and we were able to sit outside to enjoy the beautiful, Tucson morning weather. Definitely on the visit again list. Lots of other yummy sounding items on the menu to try. One, small beef...the coffee wasn't hot enough.
I got the breakfast burro and blueberry scones. The burro was a fatty and had a thick red sauce that came with it that was absolutely to die for. The burro was so well made I almost started crying. Real tortilla. It was so damn good and I ate all of it gladly. The scones came with butter and jam. They were so warm and fresh, but broke apart just like a scone. I had them with coffee and was legit in paradise. Atmosphere was great. Server was amazing. He recommended the spicy red sauce and my friend got it too. We both were in heaven. Did not feel sluggish after either. You gotta go.
Small interior, but spacious outdoor seating. Had the rotating special “The banh mi Benedict”. This dish had a perfect amount of spice, the pork belly was crispy and delicious, and the poached eggs were firm enough to pair with the belly. The coffee wasn’t special (I drink it black), but it was hot and satisfying. Service was great and wait staff knew their menu well!
I had a wonderful breakfast this morning. The cinnamon roll griddle cakes were amazing so soft, thick and fluffy, with scrambled eggs and ham. Absolutely delicious!!!
The food wasn't the best part about my experience this morning. The best part is that the guy who came in right before us had a medical emergency at the table next to us. Their staff quickly recognized there was a problem and jumped into action! Taking steps to save this guy's life until EMS arrived. The staff was remained calm and handled the situation while other staff worked to keep servicing the other guests.
Next time I'm in Tucson I'm eating breakfast here. It's one thing to have good food but to also know that you're in safe hands while dining is another.
My hat is off to the staff that turned into heros this morning. Not all heroes wear capes some wear aprons and chefs hats!!!
Had the "Hanger Steak and Eggs" for lunch. I enjoyed every bit of it. I had the griddlecake with chocolate chips and that also was very good. Service was good too. I almost walked past this place since their sign blends in with the building. Go get yourself some of their good food when you're downtown!
