La Placita Cafe - Tucson - Photo album

Our group was very happy with their choices. We had separate checks and they prefer that we pay in cash to make it easier on the server. Our server was very good and I believe everyone felt well care for. We'll be back.
We had carryout enchiladas and taco combo. It was good, pretty standard Mexican food. Ready when it was supposed to be, friendly staff.
The location is nice, food was good. I had the chilli relleno, cheese enchilada and taco combination plate. It came with beans and rice too. I'm just not a fan of American yellow cheese over everything, maybe use of some queso fresco would be good. The relleno and taco were tasty, freshly fried
Disclaimer: My experience is based solely on their takeout. The food here has an authentic, Sonoran style. Dishes are prepared from scratch, and the ingredients tasted fresh. My only suggestion would be to sit down and eat at this restaurant, rather than order takeout. The portions seemed to be les
Great service. AMAZING food. Everything home made. Nothing canned or reheated.... what a gem!
This is one of those places I almost hesitate to rate because it's a hidden gem and I don't want everyone to find out about it. It's a small, family style Mexican place. The food is great, it's usually quiet, and the prices are really good. One of my favorite places to get dinner.
Wow! I stopped in for take-out on a trip and found my new favorite Tucson restaurant! The Hole Mole Oxaqueno is amazing, perfectly cooked chicken breast in mild, chocolatey mole, not too sweet, such reasonable price I could afford guacamole which was so fresh and tasty! Homemade flour tortilla, o
Absolutely delicious. Fresh Mexican food. Every component of the dish is cooked with care and flavor from the handmade tortillas served as an appetizer to the stuffed peppers and hand crafted tacos. From what I understand this place is recently under new ownership and is outstanding right now.
This place is awesome and a favorite secret amongst locals. Amazing food , salsa and owners / waitress. I go at least once a week... For about 3 decades now ! The owners and the staff are very nice .
We eat here now and then, and there are some creative menu items that you won't find elsewhere in Tucson. The house margaritas are great. Another plus for is the fact that the restaurant is quieter than many. It is somewhat pricier than South Tucson places.
Great atmosphere and service. The prices are reasonable considering the posh environment. The salsa not too spicy, but well seasoned. The pork in my Tacos De Puerco(carnitas) was very dry for even well done carnitas and had a slightly stale taste. I was the only one in our group that had the pork. E
Plenty large portions. If you want the carnitas be sure to ask for grilled onions, otherwise you get no onions at all. The salsa was the best part of the meal though, it was amazing. We believe it had smoked Hatch chilie powder in it. Chips are hand made; as is everything else. Pretty good all aroun
