You have to try the soondubu here!!! It’s the best tofu soup I’ve ever had! I got it with beef, my mom got the bi bim bap, and my dad got a chicken dish (can’t remember the name). Everything was delicious! The kimchi here was also some of the best kimchi I’ve ever had. Highly recommend this place!!
We are on the hunt for great Korean BBQ in Tucson, and happened upon Kogi. The food is above average. We ordered the Japchae and the Soon Doo Bu. The Soon Doo Bu was absolutely delicious! Miso was very good and Edamame was average. We would come back and order to go, as the service was sub par. I got the impression the server was very stressed and a bit annoyed at the customers even though it’s not a large dining area. This is not a Korean BBQ restaurant where you cook your own dish.
More of a family style restaurant. Only one overworked server. Expect to wait at least 30-45 minutes. Food freshly prepared only at time of order and price is very reasonable. A worthy full eastern authentic experience and taste If you don't mind the wait. If you expect fast friendly service then is not the place.
Great korean food. We went here on a weekday on our visit to Tucson. There wasnt any wait. We got a table and ordered the food. We got Bibimbap and chicken yokisoba noodles. After we order we go served with miso soup, kimchi, flavorsled green beans, pickled cucumbers. Really enjoyed the green beans and the picked cucumber. We got the entree we ordered first. Chicken yokisoba noodle was tasty and well made. The Bibimbap was also good. The food was filling. The service was great. I recommend this place for good Korean food.
Ordered a champong in a hot afternoon , soup is flavorful . It comes with a HUGE bowl and lots of vegetable . I was sweated after a bowl of noodle .Those kimchi and pickles are delicious too.
I love this restaurant. Best Korean food in Tucson. Feels like I’m eating a home-cooked meal in Korea town (los angeles). They don’t have a gluten free menu. Yet if you’re gluten sensitive or intolerant, ask for the gluten free version of bibimbap with tofu (also vegetarian). Sunny was so nice and provided all the sides, condiments that were gluten free to have with my meal. So hospitable. Thanks and I’ll be back again!
Stopped by for lunch. Had lunches here in the past and it is a great deal mon - fri. Food is authentic and tasty. Service is good and it is a small establishment which is way better than eating a corporate bopbowl down the way.
So I keep coming back for what I know is good food at a fair price. Give them a try as you won't be disappointed.
I had a pleasant dinner with friends at Kogi Korean Bbq. This isn't like the Korean bbqs where you can grill your own meat at the table. However, it is a nice little restaurant with good food and friendly service. The soondubu (soft tofu stew) had plenty of beef in it and tasted fantastic. The japchae (glass noodles) was also excellent. Our food came out quickly and I would come here again to try more dishes. The kimbap was great even without meat!
Cozy restaurant with amazing ommas making delicious Korean dishes. Amazing banchan, fresh and tasty. Friendly service and great options if you want to have yourself a little mukbang. I recommend any of the appetizers, kalbi tang, bulgogi, kalbi. Fried rice is also very popular. Very affordable and sharable items.
Now our 2nd time dining here!! The food is soooooo good! Fresh, quick, clean! Sunny had awesome recommendations and was super attentive! Made us feel welcomed! She even recommended a sweet treat for us which was a bun with red sweet bean filling!! So different but so tasty! Can’t wait to go back again soon! The sides were so yummy! My favorite is the beef short ribs! Thank you!
Great place! SUNNY was very nice and the food was hot and delicious.
The kimchee was so fresh, it was the best in Tucson. You have to try it. Thank you, we will be comming back.
The pink Lemonade is very refreshing.
This is a very cute place. It gets busy on the weekends so I like to visit Monday thru Friday. It's cozy and I enjoy the food. I love their banchan, beef bulgogi, and there Bimbibap.
There service is fine considering there is only one server. It's a good bonding time but expect to stay there for 1.5 to 2 hours. This works for me but if you expect very fast service, there is a possibility you might disappointed. Otherwise, I recommend.
Great choice for Korean on east side of Tucson. They were short staffed and every table was full but the still made our visit a pleasant one. Great food and service.Give them a try.
First time to order Korean food here in tucson and this is actually better than what i had in diff places. Everything that we ordered was so good and it was take out, it will be for sure better if we dine in. Also liked all the side dish that came with the order. Cant wait to try the rest of the menu. I ordered 2 of each thnking it wouldnt be enough but the orders were shareable.
Food was outstanding! Edamame had a fresh flavor I've never tasted before. My companions and I thought the miso soup was the best we've enjoyed in a couple of years. I had a delicious marinated chicken yakisoba. Noodles and vegetables in it were fresh. Beef bulogi was the preference of my companions. They both raved. Kimchi was spicier than usual, which was a great taste. Peered into the kitchen to find two elder Korean women cooking. Restaurant was full on a Sunday.
They have the very best Galbi/ Kalbi plate I have ever had. The flavor was the best my husband and I have ever had. Give this place a chance, you won’t be disappointed. We came here by chance and we will be coming back.
They remembered our order even though we hadn't been there in over 6 months. Small place, good service, good food.
Thank you Kogi!!!Sincerely delicious Korean cuisine...their kimchi, cucumbers, and bean sprouts are the right kind of addictive spicy touch to your meals. If we may make a suggestion, try the namesake Kogi Ribs and the glass noodles. Hostess is welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable.
