I rate this excellent because of value. It's priced well for drinks and a medium sized menu to please everyone. The food service has improved tremendously from two years ago, when it was almost embarrassing to take friends. I've been three times in the last 2 months and am constantly grateful that the best talents in Tucson play here for a reasonable (or zero) entry fee. I've owned restaurants myself and appreciate that a small wait for decent food is fine when you're enjoying good music as a concert or to dance to. You can't do better for the price.

Monterey Court is a great plays to play or listen to music. They have a wonderful stage, a great sounding PA system, and they hire a variety of fine musicians.

love this place and the owners and the music. They allow music of all genres to play. Greg is kind and works diligently to make sure his customers get what they want and he provides so much more than that. Music is the highlight, but I have to say they have the best Yam fries!

We love going to Monterey Court. The food is consistently good, the service friendly and attentive. The entertainment is really top notch. Just remember to tip the group, and your servers. Also a great atmosphere.

I recently visited Monterey Court in my neighborhood, and it was an amazing experience! This unique American locale has a full bar and roomy patio, and regularly features live music. I had the pleasure of seeing Larry & Joe, presented by KXCI, and it was truly unforgettable. The fusion of Venezuelan and Appalachian folk traditions by Larry Bellorín and Joe Troop was breathtaking. Their bilingual program was engaging, humorous, and had everyone clapping and dancing by the end. The music alone was worth the visit, but the food was also fantastic. I especially loved the baked brie and the Blues & Greens salad as a vegetarian option. And the carrot cake was one of the best I've ever had - creamy, but not too sweet. The Fresh Strawberry Lemonade was a refreshing drink with just the right amount of vodka. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Monterey Court is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a great night out with live music, food, and drinks. Highly recommended!

Nice outdoor patio with live music, and cute shops. Parking lot attached to the Court, with street parking, and a parking lot next door (to the South). I love the mussels, baked brie, and brownie dessert. The drinks are also delicious! We called ahead for our group of eight, and Kelly advised that we come a little earlier than our planned time, because it was going to be a busy night with the show that evening! Everyone enjoyed their entrees and drinks (adults and teenagers). Looking forward to our next visit!

This was my first time here so I had no expectations. The food and drinks were good and reasonably priced! I like it when a restaurant makes their own salad dressing. I had the Cesar salad with chicken and really liked it! The service was good and the bathroom was clean. The crowd was good, the band was good and we even danced! I would say this was a successful night out. In fact I want to go back! I will say the one drawback was parking...only a few spaces on the property and I wasn't hip about parking on the side street or the other designated area. I didn't have any issues so it worked it. Next time I may Uber and indulge in more cocktails. Overall a good experience and fun night out with love music!

Great entertainment. Unfortunately the cocktails were pretty bad. Martini was warm and without proper garnish. Expensive whiskey/ bourbon drinks lacked the Bordeaux cherries.

Nice repurposed motor court! It is good fun with various bands that appeal to different ages but mostly the older generations. Reasonable cover prices. Gastropub style food and decent wine list, although not all wines listed were available, cocktails also! We will return.

It's one of my favorite venues! The dance floor is new and enlarged. The staff is friendly and the food is good. Drinks are also good. Reservations are recommended as seats are reserved towards the stage. The seating is outdoors with a canopy for shade and/or wind. The place is a hotel with small retail shops around the venue. Cute place and easy to find!

Monterey Court is an iconic part of Tucson’s Miracle Mile revitalization. This is no generic restaurant where you’ll occasionally find a new band — the Monty embraces everything that’s special about live music. This former motor court has been crafted into an eclectic series of shops/gallery studios and a modern café and listening space, with artists taking the stage throughout the week. I’ve been to two of the “Virginia Cannon Presents” shows (brunch and a Thurs. evening) and was extremely impressed with the venue’s efforts to highlight local performers and present a range of genres. The singer/songwriter showcase oozed talent, with Bryan Russell-Lowe, Nick Shelby, and Laura StonethePoet in round one and Derdog, Jon Frailey, and Bobby Ronstadt in round two, followed by the Freddy Parish Trio. And the brunch sets offer everything from featured artists to young artists launching their careers before your eyes. The Monty is a gem, offering the freshest music you’ll find in the whole city!

I visited Monterey Court the other night for a live band perform outside in the court yard. It is a really cute place that even though has seating outside they have covered areas, nice shady trees, and misters. There are quite a few local artists that have studios with gorgeous and eclectic artwork for purchase. It was a wonderful way to spend the evening listening to great music and looking at art. The menu has gluten free options available and a few vegan choices too. I didn't have dinner but did enjoy some strawberry lemonade which was home made and delicious! Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice outdoor spot to sit and support local artists in the process.

This was our first time here. Came out to see Shell Shock and celebrate Steve’s birthday. We live on the far side of town have heard great things. I’m pretty sure the servers were trying hard but they had clearly not been trained in customer service! Not checking with your tables is a huge no no, even on a busy night! I was told that they had 3 servers but I only observed 2. Shell Shock draws in a lot of business! Someone dropped the ball!

What a fun, unique nightspot! A great place to hear local music, have a well made drink and enjoy a good meal. Still Life Telescope, Saint Augustine, and The Unday played the last time we were there and all three were really great. We'll be going back very soon.

Lovely quaint outdoor live music place for local bands and a food and drink available. The weather was perfect they had heat lamps available. Service was a little slow and kinda rusty but I'll blame covid-19 for what it has done to the industry. Our server was nice and knowledgeable and did her best with the kitchen and bar flow. Entertainment was awesome! We ordered mussels and they were very delicious! We also ordered the Rueben and Monterey burger with side of sweet potato fries and soup of the day. Food was delicious. Soup could have been a lot hotter. We still ate it. Ordered the cactus wren and cucumber jalapeño margarita. Cactus wren was refreshing but margarita was margarita mix heavy so reordered the cactus wren x2 and it came back a different color and server did let us know she noticed that and she said that if it was not OK she'd get it fixed. It was different from the first one and she was happy to fix that. I appreciate hospitality industry folks who do that bc I was in the industry for 20 years. All in all very nice outing with my boyfriend listening to local music and we've gone ahead and RSVP for next Friday to bring friends to share this eclectic place and hope for another pleasurable experience.

Greg and his wife, Kelly, run an awesome music venue in Tucson. Set outdoors with a lovely, raised stage and tenting over the top--it is a musician's paradise. It's also a real crowd pleaser: the food is great--my fave are the Eggs Benedict. They run a full bar day/night and the wait staff are about the nicest and most thoughtful in town. There is always great music playing from blues bands and rock and roll to poignant singer songwriters. They remained open through the pandemic because they did all the right things. So head over to Oracle & Miracle Mile for a real treat.
