Alright, hear me out, I am a Diet Coke lover, and this McDonald’s was literally right down the road from my apartment. I would go there once a day at the very least, and so the staff definitely got to know me. They were my favorites! Despite them being short staffed (I mean what place isn’t), the crew managed to always greet me with a smile. Also, they would always have fresh chocolate chip cookies made for me when I ordered them- the BEST!
Phenomenal customer service no matter what time of day I went!

Went through the drive through today for a McMuffin and was met with 3 of the friendliest and professional staff I have ever seen before in a fast food establishment (order taker, money taker, food giver). Also food was incredibly fast and fresh, which I don't usually expect for a McDonalds. Giving 5 stars due to the exceptional staff.

I stopped here Monday morning on the my way out of town and didn't get my debit card back. I froze it just in case and stopped here on my way back to Tucson today (Thursday). A young lady was cleaning tables and came up to offer help ordering. She had the best smile and a genuine personality. I told her the situation and gave her my id. When she came back with the card, she looked happier that they had it than I was! Her name is Faith and the 5 stars are for her. I train on excellent customer and interpersonal relations and Faith is one of the best examples I've seen at a McDonald's in a long time.

I must admit that as of recently the service here hasnt been its best, iv experienced multiple orders wrong or just plain out missing items. That being said i still must give them credit that they are always waiting and willing to accommodate you and or fix the mess up and to me personally that is what customer service is all about.

Like the new order kiosks...could be cleaner. We went back in today October 22, 2019....a noticeable difference in cleanliness!!! This place was sparkling. Very impressed. This McDonalds is at an interstate exit and has a huge amount of business, so it is understandable how it must be a bit difficult to maintain. While we were there, about an hour, Brandy cleaned and cleaned and cleaned She must be the difference. Staff is nice, food is good.

Unlike the McDonald's I had just been to, this McDonald's was very well organized. Ordered Sparkling Water, by gosh they had it. And it's cheaper than soda. Really excellent service at this place and the food was good. Such a difference only two miles away. This McDonald's usually has short lines due to the fast working employees. Must be good management.

Last night The staff was rude when told the Coke was warm in the drive thru.
When asked the blonde employee snapped remove the cap it's cross contamination and then filled the cup from the lobby machine. When asked if they had reported it she snapped " It's been broken for 6 f'n months whats the issue?"
The machine had been fixed 3 weeks ago so I asked again if they let those in charge (Chris or Andy) know it was down again I was told it was only "fixed" for a corporate inspection. At that point I asked for the manager and was told there was no reason they already were aware the machine was broken. This store needs to be shut down until the Grey's can find a staff that takes an interest in their job and the customers.

Tuesday May 6th was National Teacher Day. If you remember it was advertised on TV and radio stations in Tucson that McDonald’s would give teachers a free extra value meal. Teachers only needed to provide an ID OR a paystub.
I decided to stop at my neighborhood Mc Donald’s at Cortaro Road and I-10. I have been a customer at this McDonalds’ for 21 years. When I arrived at McDonalds’ I was greeted by a very pleasant young man behind the cash register. I placed my order and told him that I am a teacher. The smile on his face grew, he thanked me for being a teacher. The young man called the manager for the promo code. I handed the manager my district issued ID. This is the ID I am required to wear at school, and present at other schools and district functions. My ID is issued once by my district and is not reissued unless it is lost or stolen. The manager looked at my ID and told me it was too old, it was issued to me in 1999. I have been a teacher for 25 years. Prior to 1999 my school district did not issue teacher IDs.
He asked me if I had a paystub. My paystubs are issued electronically, I do not print them. Frankly, the advertisement was ID OR paystub. Since I had the proper ID I didn’t think I needed my paystub. At this moment the manager of my neighborhood McDonald’s, at Cortaro Road and I-10, became the authority, with detailed knowledge of the policies, procedures, and inner workings of the school district by which I am employed. According to the manager I should have an email with my paystub attached to it. My district does not issue paystubs via email. The manager said to me “you have to understand that when we did this last year a lot of people said they were teachers and took advantage.” I was completely humiliated and embarrassed by the manager of the neighborhood McDonald’s, I have been doing business for the last 21 years. The McDonald’s located at Cortaro Road and I-10. I politely said thank you and left the restaurant.
I immediately called the corporate offices of McDonald’s and filed a complaint. McDonald’s corporation has not responded to me. I called Gray Management the franchise owner of the McDonald’s at Cortaro Road and I-10, I left a voice mail. I was contacted again by the manager of my neighborhood McDonalds. During our conversation he was arrogant, condescending, and unapologetic. The conversation added insult to injury. He told me, “You need to understand that this is a security breach.” He followed that statement with, “You are the only teacher we had a problem with.” Perhaps I am the only teacher whose ID he so closely scrutinized. I would like to add that I spoke with two colleagues who stopped at the same McDonalds, used their district issued ID that is as old as mine. They were not interrogated and not have a problem. I told the manager I wanted to speak with Gray Management, franchise owner of the McDonalds at Cortaro Road and I-10. The franchise owner has not returned my calls.
This is not about a $3 dollar sandwich and a cup of orange juice. This is about the customer service I received at my neighborhood McDonalds. The one I have stopped at for late night snacks, quick meals on the way to work and activities, or just because my children wanted a treat or happy meal. I have been a loyal customer at the Cortaro Road and I-10 McDonald’s for 21 years.
As a teacher I have served students and families in Tucson and the state of Arizona for 25 years. I was embarrassed and humiliated by the manager of McDonald’s on a day when members of my profession were to be celebrated. Sadly, I’m not, “Lovin it.”
