Great ambiance - something tells me it was a bar in a previously (new to area), so it has a modern vibe to it.
Foods ok, not stellar, just on par with other Vietnamese restaurants.
It's spacious and should be good for small groups. Ample free parking (mall area).

Came in at 2:45pm on a Wednesday and the place was completely dead. My food was served fast since no one else was in the restaurant. The food tasted okay not that great. The customer service was bad. I was never checked on to see if my meal was good. I was also served the check when I wasn't even half way done eating.

Excellent restaurant and the staff was some of the nicest that I have dealt with. The soup was very flavorful and the meat was fresh. My wife and I loved it.

I love pho, and I've tried so many different Pho restaurants. Some were better then others, and some were Great. None were bad. But this place was absolutely horrible. The soup literally made me gag. I highly warn all of you. It tastes like bad water. The place is nice. The service is fine. But the pho.........is complete opposite......Maybe its just me.

Our favorite place! Good food. Great service!

I ordered regular pho and they left the paper that seperates the beef in the soup so I had 2 large pieces of wax paper in the bottom of my bowl which I only discovered towards the end of my meal. I explained this to the server and showed him the paper floating in the bowl. He then apologized and took it away without saying anything else. He then brought the check and didn't offer to comp the meal or anything at all.
Bad service and bad food
Mister Donut
This place has closed down and reopened and closed again. It's a shame because their taro fries were great

Belly full of lava shrimp cuddle fish noodles and Ohhh man way to much to remember lol. The verdict on Happy Cow Hot Pot it's not cheap but the verities of good food and awesome service makes it well worth the drive and price we will see how it goes in a few hours lol

Went here for a late lunch. Ordered the vegetarian pho with tofu, and grilled pork with rice vermicelli. The pho with vegetable broth was reasonable, though the soup was a little salty. The grilled pork was excellent, cooked just right and not chewy.

Alright so I have no idea what anyone is talking about when it comes to customer service. Maybe it's because I'm not pompous and realize that I'm not the only person being served by my waiter, but I had great service. I also sat at the bartop and so I was able to actually connect with my server on a level other than "here's my order I'm blaming you if the kitchen gets it wrong and you just do what your told (which is what happens when gratuity is added; read the fine print)."

Kevin was an awesome bartender and he seemed to have his regulars orders down packed. He was prompt and kind and helpful to those around him as well as myself. I was greeted a little late when I first came in, but once I was the server was so sweet I couldn't be even the slightest bit flustered at her.

My food was good, I've had better pho but what can you expect from a chain restaurant? If you want your mom's pho go to the hole in the wall place in town. It was a nice ambiance and the employees seemed happy. I'm not sure how true that is but they put up a good front regardless.

Anyways, I really came on here to say great service Kevin and from one bartender to another, you're doing a great job!

Worse food ever. Ordered the chicken dish chicken is completely raw inside. Sent it back and they must have fried the same chicken. The chicken was definitely cooked second time but rubbery. The food is not fresh at all. On the bill they charged us the 18% gratuity. I asked the waitress about it and she said they automatically charge it on parties of six or more. I asked if they typically serve raw chicken? I guess they think it's okay to serve you crappy frozen food and then charge you 18% tips. The tips is to ensure you get crappy food and service.

This place really SUCKS, the bartender doesn't know how to make drinks and the waitresses are cute but don't have a clue about anything

Dissapointing experience. The decor was decent and the pho good (enough), but otherwise I recommend going somewhere else. We tried "What the Pho" with my parents bacause I had a gift voucher from restaurant.com (which they refused to honour.) The waitress reccomended chicken pho (really?), and the coconut curry chicken (#47). We ordered calamari, beef pho, chicken with vermicelli noodles, and 2 coconut curries. The coconut curry smelled off (sour coconut milk?), the calamari was terrible, and the music too loud (the place was nearly empty.) I thought perhaps I'm being oversensitive, but my husband said (once we had left the restaurant) that he really didn't enjoy it (and he's easy to please when it comes to food.) Overall very dissappointed.

Not worth it. Ordered the pho bo vien and it had the standard taste. Nothing to write home about.

This was my first experience eating at this restaurant, and I only found out about it at my last trip to Southcenter Mall months ago. I will never go back again because I had the unfortunate experience of being waited on by two lackluster waitresses.

The young woman who played hostess seemed indifferent, at best, with greeting and showing me to my seat and taking my order. The older waitress seemed to duplicate what the younger waitress did with me, but with some passive-aggressive hostility. Twice when she spoke to me, she virtually yelled.

So, knowing that there are numerous other pho restaurants with much better food and service, I will never recommend What the Pho to anyone.

Food is okay but service is terrible. Went there last weekend for lunch, the serivce was slow even with hardly anyone there. I had the short ribs, which were tasty but a bit over cooked, I had to ask for a knife. The shrimp and spring rolls were good.
I purchased a gift card from a charity auction, they told me they could not accept it, I would have to visit the Bellevue location in order to use it. I was very unhappy with that.

My fiancée and I went here for lunch on 8/6. The service was very slow. Groups who were seated after us were served before us and the broth was bland and the overall experience was rather disappointing.

The Seattle Pho-Natics 7/27/09. The Seattle Pho-Natics went to What the Pho July 27th, 2009 and had a great experience!
Interior: The interior was very modern, not like a "traditional" pho restaurant, but didnt feel like a "chain" restaurant either! Very clean, and the bathrooms were clean as well. They also have a full bar, which was great!
Service: The service was amazing! The wait staff was very accomodating for our group of 17 this time. The drinks and appetizers came out very fast, as well as the pho. Didnt feel rushed out the door like a lot of pho restarurants.
Price: They have small and large sizes- $6.95 and $7.95, they also have a childrens size pho! They do take credit cards as well.
Broth: Very good! I feel most of us gave them a A+ on their broth, not too bland or salty like others! The condiments for the pho was sufficient as well, we asked for more and they came right out with plenty for all.
Selection: The menu is great! They not only have Pho, but they also have appetizers, dinner menu, desserts, full bar, but also a happy hour from 3-6pm. The happy hour is great! $2 well drinks, $2 beers and $2 off appetizers! The one condiment they didnt have was chili oil, however one of the members requested that they should have it, and 5min later the staff brought out 2 bowls of homemade chili oil for our pho, made by the chef! Very tasty! They also cater to the vegetarian crowd by having tofu. One item we really enjoyed was the prawn pho! Large prawns can be added to your pho for a small price, very fresh and very good!
Location: Near Southcenter Mall in Tukwila, plenty of parking.
Score: As a whole What the Pho get a 8-9 out of 10. The only reasons for this was if you want to have happy hour drinks, you have to sit in the bar, even with a large group. There was plenty of room, but that night it wasnt busy, otherwise it would be difficult for a large group to sit together. Another reason is they dont have any outdoor seating.
Our club posted some photos on here from our visit, enjoy! Sean Hoops. "The Seattle Pho-Natics"
