Review Din Tai Fung - Tukwila

First time eating this type of food. Delicious! The dumplings were so good. Savory and tender dumplings and buns filled with the best chocolate. The ribs were awesome as well. The shrimp noodles were a favorite as well. I recommend coming here with an appetite because the food although tiny is filling.

Love love love this place. Always consistent in both flavour and presentation. Have been numerous times and haven't had a bad experience once. Will definitely be back. The Xiao Long Bao dumplings are amazing, the dumplings in spicy sauce are must try and I love their garlic sauce green beans. Don't forget to try the chocolate xiao long bao for dessert.

My first visit. Super friendly and helpful staff. Going into a new restaurant that I am unaware of how things work is not enjoyable for me. But the staff here made it very easy to understand how it works. So many options and so much that looks so good. My food was amazing, wanted more. Highly recommended!! Go early or make reservations. It fills up fast. And bring proof of vaccination. And beware it adds up quick $$$

Been this location more than 15 times!!! Servers are always nice and helpful, and food usually comes out fast. Need to wait a while on the weekend, but if making a reservation in advance, no problem. All the dishes are consistent and delicious. I love pork XLB and spicy pork and shrimp wonton… fried rice is great as well. I love they serve decent cocktails😊 overall so good!!!!

First time here and first time eating dumplings. We ordered 10 dumplings, won tons and rice with pork. Fantastic food and great service. The staff was very helpful explaining the dishes and gave me suggestions, which I took. Nothing bad about this place. Prices are a little high once you start adding up your selections. With tip it was $60 for the both of us at lunch. But the flavors were amazing. Everybody is friendly and go out of their way to please you. I would return.

I guess I’m a little biased… still comfort food for me but not as good as the original in Taiwan 🤣 Easy in and out, service was very nice. Definitely well-trained staff. They were very attentive and made sure to ask if we had been before. Xiaolongbaos were ok. I’m used to burn-your-tongue hot ones and these were not. And I can see why. The chicken soup was nice and hot. Got the the stir fry rice cakes which is always good. The Dan-dan noodles needed more flavor. Abs the veggies were meh. Definitely fresh- just some pieces were bigger others smaller so it wasn’t cooked… uniformly. Other than that- it was a standard experience.

This place is busy but we’ll worth the wait! Try the garlic green beans they are a must! We tried so many things on the menu because we couldn’t decide!

It was pretty good! Had an amazing time and food. The waiter was really nice. It was no problem with a baby as well. Got a extra chair.

Let me start by stating that I don’t do online reviews, I’m way to lazy. But after my last experience here, I felt absolutely compelled to make sure this place got the recognition it deserves. My girlfriend and I have gone there twice in the past week. Our first time there, we had such a pleasant time. The food was fantastic! We had gotten the braised beef soup, pork soup dumplings, tofu puff and glass noodle soup, then the pork and veggie steam buns. At first I was apprehensive about the cost, roughly 10-14 per dish. But after we got our food, my worries diminished. Everything was absolutely delicious! The braised beef soup was the definition of “to die for”. Enough so that it brought us back again at the end of the week! This time was not as good, it was phenomenally better!!! My girlfriend and I both got the braised beef soup this time, after last time being so incredible. We were not disappointed! It was heavenly! Though the food was the reason we came back, our server is the inspiration for this review(not to belittle the other employees . Our servers name was Jun. Within moments of being seated, he arrived with a smile on his face and took our drink order. After returning with our drinks, he helped us make our minds up on what side to order. This time, in tandem with the two braised beef soups, we got the pork chop fried rice(w/ white rice). The pork chop fried rice was ridiculously good. We could not get over how delicious the pork chop was! Then he made some small talk and made us feel more immersed in our dinning experience. We were enjoying not only the food, but the environment almost as much. He wasn’t overly talkative, but just the right amount to make our experience feel important, and unique. Nearing the end of our second trip there, we found ourselves not just talking about how outrageously good our food was, but how friendly and attentive our server was. From the fast meet and greet, to the way he always made sure our drinks were full, without us asking. Which seems like an easy task, but in combination with the huge amount of customers,and my ability to consume copious amounts of beverages(almost to an embarrassing extent), it’s often a servers nightmare. If there’s anything that can ruin an experience, it’s constantly having to wait for a drink refill(which for me seems to always be a problem), but not once was I left with that frustration. At the end of it all, it left us with such a strong positive impression, that we feel that Din Tai Fung will easily be one of our regular go to destinations for amazing food, and exceptional customer service. I usually don’t take the time to write a review because I don’t have time or make the time. but this place It was amazing! So I had to write a review. For me 3rd time at Din Tai Fung. But first time at this location. I think I like this one better than Bellevue location. The wait wasn’t too long it was about 15 min wait even though they said it probably be about 20-30 mins. So I was impressed. For it being on a Saturday too! The Bellevue one the wait is insanely long and food was great the first time but second time wasn’t impressed and service wasn’t so great either. The food here at southcenter location is soo soo much better! It was sooo sooo good! Hits the spot for sure! Great flavor and everything! My husband and kids first time and the fell in love with the food and everything! The service is excellent and everything is clean and kid friendly too! which is a must for us. CuzWe have 2 tots and two teens! They also offered to stored out stroller for us while we we’re dining there, which is so nice. I appreciate things like that. The staff were very prompt and attentive. And made us all felt very comfortable. And Aliea was such a very nice and great waitress. Our fav there was the XLB aka Xioung louong bao crab/pork dumplings and the xlb truffle dumplings 🥟! And the garlic kale, the spicy wontons, braised beef noodle soup, and tea was good too! The tots fav was the the xlb crab/pork dumplings and pork buns! We order way too much but was glad we had leftovers for later! They even packed it in a cute to go box and bag. So nice! And they’re bathrooms are nice and clean too. Which is very much appreciated. Keep up the greatness, you guys are excellent! 🤗👍🏼💕

Love the place. Great atmosphere. Seating was very spacious/comfortable (we had a boot). Food was excellent with minimal wait time and delicious. Definitely recommend and will be back.

Clean restaurant, but food portion size has shrunk to kids meal size. Service was great, but price are not right for mini size dishes!

We took our family here (3 kids- 7, 5, and 2) and had an amazing time! The Pork XiaoLongBao was incredible as well as the String Beans with garlic. The our server was attentive and our food came fast! It was so delicious that our food disappeared very quickly! We will be back for sure!

I’ve eaten at one in Sydney and had to take my family to the one in Seattle while on vacation. The food did not disappoint and the family loved it as well. Wish there was one closer to where we live.

Excellent service. We were walking in Southcenter with no plans to stop but curiosity got the best of us. Sarah was our server and walked us through how to order. We sat at the bar and they were all beyond friendly and helpful. We got shrimp and pork dumplings and they were amazing. We are so glad we stopped in and definitely will be back!!

The pork and veggie, and chicken dumplings are out of this world! Try the fried chicken noodles, and the pork chop fried rice, too. Youwill not be disappointed! The service is fast and friendly even when they’re super busy.

Wait time is ridiculous. They couldn’t honor the initial wait time committed. Added 30 more minutes than estimated. I would have never waited an hour of estimate at the beginning. Food is ok, not worth waiting an hour.

Third time eating at this location! Usually, wife and I eat at the University City or the Bellevue locations! Food and service are always good! Would recommend either of the three locations!

A perfect place for yum spicy wontons,steamed stuffed buns n steming hot tasty dumplings.....

Went for the 1st time with my sisters-in-law and we had a great time.The foods are great and our server is so nice.She smiles a lot and really treated us well.Such a good customer service.The atmosphere is good.All the employees are friendly.Definitely coming back.

Went there last night and brought some friends from out of town. My boyfriend had already been to DTF so he picked the dishes for us and they were all amazing. We had the garlic green beans, cucumber salad, bok choy, pork fried rice, pork soup dumplings and the shrimp and pork dumplings. Everything was hot and tasty. For dessert we had the chocolate ones. Service was great. I would definitely return!

I enjoy dining here. The food is wonderful and the service is too. I try something different each time just to check things out. Not been disappointed yet..well maybe in the ginger lime cocktail, a bit too sweet for me. Always say room for dessert and try the 'shave ice'.

Some of the best Taiwan food i ever had. I got food to go now i want to go back!!! Hostess people are very kind!
