Best Lobster and Steak in Oklahoma! Jalapeño cheese grits are amazing, must order! Lobster bisque is simply wonderful, as is the strawberry and spinach salad! All of the desserts are equally top notch, especially the creme brûlée! Best restaurant in Tulsa by far! Excellent service, the best food around, and romantic atmosphere - Polo Grill has it all!
This I can honestly say is the highest quality restaurant in Tulsa. When I first heard about the polo grill I was on a plane in Seattle reading through brochures when I came across a list of top 10 steakhouses in the US. As I browsed through the list I came upon a very surprising find, one of the steakhouses was in my hometown of Tulsa. For anyone from Tulsa we love for things in our hometown to be talked about outside of Oklahoma. So when I returned to Tulsa I had to try it, and let me tell you it was everything I had hoped for. Unlike many other fine-dining establishments around Tulsa (Mahogany's, Stone Horse, etc.) I actually felt like I was getting something worth the arm and the leg that was being charged for it. That's the thing about it is that it was more than just depending on a fancy facade, high prices, above average service, and good steak like other restaurants I mentioned. It was in a league of its own everything about it was great down to the last detail: the service was phenomenal, the perfect serving sizes, the complimentary courses, but last but not least the most important thing is it challenges you somewhat to push the limits of your pallet but in a familiar environment with all the classics that make you feel comfortable. Now you'll actually have to go and see what I mean.
Wonderful food! Had not been to Polo in many years. Just as amazing as I remembered! Steak was great and my wife enjoyed the pork chop! Wonderful anniversary dinner.
Most enjoyable!. The food was delicious and scrumptious! The atmosphere was delightful.
Best steak ever!. Had the best steak of my life at this place. It's fancy, expensive and VERY tastey!
Love it. We ate at the Polo Grill for the first time last night. it by far exceeded our expectations! We started with a wedge and Caesar salad. Both were excellent, but the homemade bleu cheese stole the show. It was the best we've ever had. My husband had the ribeye prepared Italian style and I the Frenched chicken. We also ordered a side of the garlic Parmesan risotto. We cleaned our plates. Everything was delicious, but the risotto was to die for! We won't be eating here all the time as it is pricy. For special occasions though, it is worth every penny!

Outstanding!!!! The lobster and crab bisque amazing! The crab cakes seasoned delightfully with a hint of zing, some of the finest I've ever tasted! The filet petite medians were so tender, the properly provided steak knife could have been substituted with a fork! Ordered med. rare, I recommend rare. We are visiting from out of town, however having grown up in Tulsa , this was always a favorite spot. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Merryfield for finely maintaining the integrity of this Tulsa jewel!
Delicious!. My husband and I have been here twice now. We have been very impressed both times. After reading reviews we knew to book our reservation for an early time. We have had excellent service both times. All the food is terrific. My husband and I especially liked the cheese tray as an appetizer. If you want an excellent lobster tail, this is the place! I am spoiled by this restaurant! If you want a gourmet meal with excellent service, this is it. Unfortunately, we are not able to go as often as we would like because it is so pricey, but when we do it is a real treat!
A Hit on Mother's Day. My family celebrated Mother's Day this morning with an early brunch at the Polo Grill. We made the reservation weeks in advance and were offered a private dining room because of the size of our party and the fact that we would be bringing three young children. After a botched Mother's Day reservation at another Utica Square restaurant last year, we had almost sworn off dining out on this holiday altogether. I'm glad we decided to try one more time, though, because we had a really lovely family meal at the Polo Grill.
Our waiter didn't take the time to introduce himself, but he did go out of his way to do thoughtful things like bring out the children's meals first, wait patiently while they practiced their "pleases and thank-yous," and quickly divide the checks- no gratuity added- when one started to get fussy. All of the food tasted good with the best surprise of the day being the Tenderloin Cheeseburger with bacon-wow! I ordered the Seven Leaf Salad and the Green Chile Enchiladas, both balanced and pleasing. Others enjoyed the Grand Marnier French Toast and the BLT with fresh fruit. I'm still thinking about that cheeseburger, though! It was juicy and well-seasoned with gourmet accompaniments.
In all seriousness, I think the Polo Grill is sometimes relegated into the stuffy, pretentious fine-dining category, and while it definitely offers fine-dining, it was not at all stuffy to the young mother-of-three in our party who desperately needed to feel special and spoiled on this annual holiday. Thanks for delivering, Polo Grill! Our family will be back.
My boyfriend and I went there for Valentines Day. We had excellent service from drinks at the bar to the very end when our bill was delivered!! Karen was our server and was fabulous!! Our food was excellent, the atmosphere was just what we were looking for, and we will definitely be back!!
YUM!. AMAZING FOOD! Always amazing service! Ask for Milo! He's a great server. I will say the breast of chicken is amazing! Any and everything you order here will NEVER disappoint!
Good Food, Excellent Service. Ate here for lunch on a Monday in February.
I ordered the Polo Grill Half Pound Tenderloin Burger on Kaiser Roll for my lunch. The burger was very good. Tender, high quality ground beef, juicy, and well-seasoned. The french fries tasted a little too much of raw potato. They should probably be parboiling or pre-frying at a lower temp before being fried. It's hard to simply take fresh cut potatoes and dump them in a fryer and have them taste like fries should taste. You can always opt for their homemade Polo Chips instead of fries.
This sounds silly, but they have excellent iced tea.
Service was impeccable. The very best service I have received at a restaurant in Tulsa. Friendly, attentive, and professional.
Restaurant was clean and well-maintained.
Restaurant is on the far Eastern edge of the Utica Square Shopping Center. I never realize there was a small set of shops here as I always assumed Utica Square's Eastern edge stopped at Grand Vin Bottle Shop. I guess I should drive around more.
Very Interesting Place!. We have eaten there twice. The food is very good. We both enjoyed the tomato bisque and the strawberry and spinach salad. For an entree, I have eaten both the salmon and the chicken fried steak. My wife had the French stuffed chicken each time. Incredible wine selection! There are some wines one would expect to find on the east or west coasts.
The customers are also intriguing. It's the only place I've ever seen anyone wearing an ascot!
There it is!. We've been looking for a good steak in Tulsa for a few days now and finally found one! The NY Strip at the Polo Grill is one of the best pieces of meat I have ever had, anywhere. I was absolutely stuffed after eating this 14 oz juicy monster. The people watching here was fantastic for 2 Memphis boys and we had a blast! Oh, and the lime bacon-wrapped shrimps were unreal!
Great!!. Great place! Went for brunch and the food was to die for. The service is good and very professional!!!
Best steak EVER but I had one disappointment of the evening... The appetizer. We ordered the cheese tray. Not a bad choice as an appetizer if it is served AS an appetizer. It was more if a dessert. Rather than savory flavors of garlic, herbs or veggies with it, it was served with very sweet fruity compotes. Later we saw the same tray on the dessert menu, which is where it belonged. I would strongly suggest as an appetizer, they serve it with an olive roulade, roasted garlic, herb based cheeses rather than the heavy sweetened selections they served.
Brunch and dinner delish. Love their brunch and their salmon is some of best in town, a fave! nice atmosphere just wish staff loosened up a bit. great food!
Sunday Brunch. OMG First time at the Polo Grill and it was awesome..... the wait staff and the food are like no other in Tulsa.
Had the crab cake... Wow ....The ambience was perfect. Everything was perfect. Thanks to all who make the Polo Grill so superb!
Tasty in the dark. The atmosphere is very dark and somber may put you to sleep, but the service was very welcoming. The appetizers are so flavorful I would order a dinner solely of those! There seafood seemed to be the best although the salmon was slightly dry the spices were original and pared with perfect side items. The portions are fair but definitely not a place I'd go regularly. More pricey than it should be, but it's always a nice treat when I get a bonus at work!
We always enjoy great food, properly prepared, properly served by people who seem genuinely glad you are there. Quiet, pleasant atmosphere and well-stocked bar and wine cellar. A special occasion place for us.
Valentine's Day. I've eaten here in the past when it wasn't a holiday and was always bowled over. Amazing service and the best food in the world. However, I took my new girlfriend here on V-day and was very underwhelmed. We were put in the cramped wine cellar with very, very poor service - I had to get up and stop someone just to refill her drink, and she was shorted a spoon as well as a steak knife, even though she ordered the steak. The chosen menu (on V-day, it's more or less a planned menu) was hit or miss, which is not good at their prices. All in all, I didn't feel it was $207 well spent. However, based on PAST experiences, I feel I MUST heartily recommend the Polo Grill when it's not a holiday. Make sure you're seated in the main section and you'll be fine.
Worth It. Get what you pay for -- excellent food, excellent service!!
Very expensive.
Wine Dinner. We went to a wine dinner here and it was fantastic. i was kind of surprised at how well they did with such a big group.
the staff has always been extremely professional. I will definitely be going back soon.
Salmon Tamale: Truly Ingenious. The Polo Grill is a one of a kind place a true pearl in the Tulsa area. The salmon tamale is truly ingenious. The flavors are complex, yet the dish is remarkably satisfying and light. The tamale is a true masterpiece of texture and flavor created by exceptional chefs.
Love It. This is mine and my husbands go to place in Tulsa for a special occasion out. We haven't had anything here that we didn't like. Service is exceptional and atmosphere is perfect!
Pleasanty snooty ;) love the atmosphere. Excellent food fantastic service. Polo is s personal favorite for taking clients. The bar is a great place for lunch.
Really good food! Very snooty but I guess that's what u will usually get at these high end steakhouses. My husband loved their lobster bisque and his ribeye. On word describes my lamb chops.....FANTASTIC! It was so good and juicy (okay more than one word). Definitely will be back for another special occasion.
Love it. Good food, elegant setting. Great place for dinner out with the hubby.
Business dinner. 'twas great. Very good steak. Thing I was moos surprised about: calamari (craving some just thinking about it) damn it was good. No idea how much it all costs. It all went down great with the red the waiter was bringing.

Romantic, lovely... and for us, unfortunately, once a year.. Polo Grill has been our restaurant of choice for anniversary dinner several years in a row. They serve a multi-course meal in an elegant setting - low light and candles, leather booths, thick real tablecloths/napkins and nice heavy flatware. High quality, attentive service. Extensive wine list... going way beyond the cliche wines to include some more unique ones like Malbecs and Temperanillos. Sometimes the chef sends out an "amuse-bouche" - a little taste of something to "amuse our mouths" while we wait. This is a special treat. We LOVE their steak-- don't know what they do to it, but it tastes wonderful, every time. I could go on and on. We usually end the meal with a creme brulee... which, to their credit, they don't mess up with strange additions like other restaurants. The meal for two -- wine, entrees, appetizers and desserts, including tip, will run $175-$250, depending on wine choice.
Excellent Choice for Private Dining. Recently threw a private dining party here. Staff was great to work with, and the food was excellent. Private rooms are really nice.
Try a filet with fried onions or mushrooms on top or the strawberry salad. Lobster Bisque is also amazing.
One of my favorites.. As far as I'm concerned, Polo Grill has the best steak I have ever eaten... anywhere. I travel frequently for work and I am always trying out new restaurants... any time I can get back to Tulsa, I always make time for this place. I love the atmosphere, the service is great, and the food is always top notch. If you haven't tried this place yet, you really should.
It's been YEARS since I've visited the Polo Grill. A staple in Tulsa's Utica Square, it was nice to revisit, recall and rejoice in the flavors! :-) And my date...first date, soon realized what it means to eat out in the company of a foodie with a blog. I think there was a hint of embarrassment when I pulled out my Canon, but he got over it and even adjusted his plate so I could get a great shot! True story. My date decided to start off with the Oven Roasted Tomato Bisque...it looked amazing, so I took a sample with my spoon, only after he offered. He gets me, awesome. Oven Roasted Tomato Bisque - $8 Next, he ordered the Chef's Grilled Salmon, with sauteed seasonal vegetables, aged balsamic charred roma tomato, and lemon caper gremolata. Chef's Grilled Salmon -$17 I opted for the Grilled Salmon Salad with grilled asparagus, Yukon Gold potatoes, Kalamata olives, and field greens. I had mine served up minus the Yukon Gold potatoes. This salad is typically serv
We enjoyed lunch on their small secluded patio. A nice, quiet area in Utica Square.
The food has so much flavor. The portions are enough that you will have leftovers.
Sam was our server. She was very attentive!
Prices, Service, & food- 5 stars!!!
It's always a pleasure to dine at the Polo Grill in Utica Square, and during the holidays it is a special delight. I enjoyed a glass of wine and a bowl of lobster and crab bisque for lunch. As always, the service and food were impeccable.
Food was pretty good. I Love the outside seating area but even after asking to be sat out there , we were placed inside. Our server was amazing though so no complaints.
I was so nervous when we decided to move my companies party to Polo Grill. And to be clear, not because I don’t love the place, because I do And frequent it often on an individual basis, and with couples.
But I was Blown away. Their staff is stealth, and you barely know they are there but your glass is never empty, food is always timely and the service is freaking impeccable! 5 stars is all I could Give.
While the last remaining 6 stood and visited (and my natural worrier personality to not overstay our welcome) a guy came in and brought us sparkling wine and gave us a whole new and added experience. Popped a bottle, gave a fun and engaging toast, and made us feel like we were at home just sitting around visiting. Assuming it’s the owner I’ve never met, but I’ll tell you it was a 10/10 experience as an owner hosting a party.
Can’t imagine one thing going any other way tonight! Thank you Polo Grill for making our night special. You’re on the annual list for sure!
2 year anniversary. We have been wanting to come here for some time now. We loved the place. The atmosphere is fun and alive, yet can be romantic and business dinner environment. Beautiful building and fun to walk.
Food-the Asian pork chop was amazing. One of my absolute favorites now. Excellent Asian flavors with char on the outside. Delicious. Sides were a tad off for us. Mashed potatoes needed a tad more thickness to our liking and the Brussel sprouts were a miss for us. We love good Brussel Sprouts and try them everywhere. This was a little simplistic and in our opinion, Brussel sprouts are a Vegitable that needs wow factors to take to the next level.
Service-loved the feel. 2015 dinner time. You walk in and the bartender is flying around in a full suit (stylish and comfortable looking though). All service is dressed to the 9. Loved it. Service was good just lacked a little personality at the table side. Outside of strict menu talk we didn't have anything else to say I guess. No laughter or small talk or even asking about the night. We were told happy anniversary by the hostesses but our server never mentioned it. So that could have been a better start to service.
This place was absolutely amazing. The most delicious calamari I ever had in my life. The food was up definitely top notch 🤌. I will be returning as soon as my paycheck hits. My friend had the porchchops he was taken away by them. I had the seafood pasta and it was so tasty, you know it's good when you can't guess at what ingredients are in the sauce.
Had a great celebratory meal at Polo Grill yesterday evening. I had the filet while my companions had fish; all of the food was perfect. I recommend the sweet potato side; it’s unlike any sweet potato that I’ve ever had. Our server was attentive and fantastic all-around. I hope to return soon.
Our waitress was amazing, and the service was too. And dear god their lobster bisque is to die for.
Their lobster bisque brought tears to my eyes. I live out of state, but I would buy a plane ticket to come back just for another bowl. I’ll be dreaming about it when I go to sleep tonight. I would walk through hot coals for a spoonful. If this place ever closes, and I pray it doesn’t, I’ll be crying the loudest during the funeral. Please keep making amazing food and give all of the servers a little kiss on the head for their hard work. (Especially the chef who made the bisque.)
The food, was excellent. Great tasting salmon, and properly cooked steak Service was good, quick to refill glasses and take away dishes.
Fabulous. The service was 10/10, so attentive yet not annoying. The food was extremely delicious especially considering the very down to earth pricing. The charcuterie board was so creative and tasty!
Already recommended the restaurant to colleagues.
Had an absolute amazing brunch with friends. They had never been and really enjoyed themselves. The food was awesome, the drinks were great and there was even live music. We will definitely be back for brunch.
Excellent service and excellent food (as always). We were also entertained with live music from a local guitarist. This restaurant is one of my top 3 in Tulsa. It’s perfect for a date night, an anniversary, etc.
Great place to celebrate an anniversary. The lobster bisque was very tasteful. The Shrimp and grits and the pistachio crusted salmon were excellent too! The crème brûlée was one of the best we have ever had. Great service and server was very attentive. He Even brought a drink to help us celebrate!
