Listen, this is the ONLY restaurant we will go to for our sushi. Moving from Houston, we were having a really hard time finding a place that could match our food experience we had in Texas. The food here is PHENOMENAL. The staff is kind, prompt, attentive and knowledgeable about the cuisine. The atmosphere is sophisticated and sultry, but the attire of most of the patrons was very casual. This was our first time at Roka so we will be back to work our way through the menu.
First trip to Roka. Loved the location, ambiance and service. We had the calamari to start and it was absolutely wonderful: fresh and flavorful. I always worry ordering calamari but this version was fantastic. For entrees, we had the Kung Pao Chicken and the Almond Sesame Chicken. Both were well above average for those dishes. Not typically a fan of this sort of fare but the flavors were complex and complementary. We augmented our meal with the Tuna Tataki which underwhelmed. The cucumber and sauce overpowered the tuna into soft oblivion. I eventually took a piece of tuna away from its vehicle and...still not much going on, honestly; I got flavor from the horseradish but still nothing from the fish. We finished with bread pudding. It was...interesting. I fully admit I'm a bread pudding snob, but I won't be ordering it again. It's almost as if Roka thought it could improve on the original by replacing bread with angel food cake? I'm sure there are folks who like it but a large part of why I like bread pudding so much is the texture of the bread when it's saturated in sauce and this dish didn't get remotely close to that. Solid dessert, not bread pudding.
Yummy, unique food! Really cool vibe - they put a lot of hard work into their decorations and atmosphere. Would recommend! The chicken in the chicken fried rice was super tender and the miso soup with white fish had a crazy cool flavor! We also got the Roka sushi roll and the almond sesame chicken and were pleased with all of it!
What a amazing experience .. went in there hungry came out drunk, full and happy .. our waitress was so attentive and helped us build our dinner .. she knew the menu so well and was able to predict what we wanted and gave us great suggestions .. thank you Roka when I venture back to Tulsa I’ll be bringing all my friends and family to this wonderful local spot 💙💙💙
5/5 stars for our super attentive and friendly waiter, George. 5/5 for the beautiful building and bathrooms with individual sinks in each stall & some outside as well. 4/5 stars for the food.
Favorite dish overall: miso soup with white fish. I could eat this for a whole meal but I got the cup.
Least favorite dish overall: chicken katsu. Super dry and not a lot of flavor

My sister and I called all over town looking for a happy hour that included drink and appetizer specials, we opted for Roka located off Utica and 17th street in Tulsa, Ok. Our bartender and table side friend Levi R. the BEST, our second time around at Roka and we were blessed to have the best bartender. Levi checked on us throughout our dining experience to make sure we didn’t need anything. For my drink I ordered a $5 well( bourbon and ginger ale) ginger ale was substituted with a bar trick and it was delicious. For my appetizers my sis and I opted for separate kimchi fries as she wanted her kimchi on the side. We shared the fried Roka roll, potstickers and the chicken lettuce wraps. Everything was AMAZING and delicious. To go boxes and check. Will be back for another happy hour session with Levi♥️🤤
Sushi was decent but not great. Cucumber and tomato salad was basically all cucumbers. Chai latte was served over ice and not hot. Wasn’t advised as an iced beverage. But, the host and waitress were very friendly, polite and professional. The atmosphere is also pretty cool. This was my first trip here in 2023.
This Restaurant is absolutely fantastic! This was my wife and I's first time at Roka and from the start it was a wonderful experience. When we walked in the first thing we noticed was the cool and hip atmosphere , which made the mood cozy. The host up front was very friendly and sat us quickly. After being seated we were presently greeted by our servers Talbi and George. Both of them were so affable and made us feel right at home. We first ordered the avocado spring rolls as and appetizer. At the time of ordering dinner, I ordered the Kimchi BBQ burger, my wife had the bulgogi beef bowl, my father in law ordered the Hong Kong sweet and sour chicken and my mother law ordered the Utica square sushi roll. When the food came out , it fresh and the quality was exemplary. In fact I would recommend the BBQ kimchi burger for anyone who likes Korean fusion, and the Hong Kong sweet and sour if you are unsure what to order. The avocado springs rolls are a must for any with a taste for a fusion of oriental and Hispanic flavors. But in truth, all of the dishes were simply wonderful. If you are looking to try out something that is out the ordinary for your normal Friday night hangout or date night, this place is a must. Since it was my wife's birthday, they made it special by bringing out a sea salt caramel gelato which was decadent in every way. My family and I look forward to coming back and trying other dishes.
The food was delicious. I had the almond chicken and calamari. Happy Hour is 4p-6p so the Rum Punch was only $6 per half litre. We had a big party and we were checked on fairly timely for the most part.
One of the coolest vibes and decor in a restaurant I have found and definitely the best in Tulsa. I love asain art and decor, it was really nice inside and out!
The service was great and the place was really clean, bathroom was clean, and it wasn't very busy for as nice as this place is.
Good was good, we did pot stickers which we amazing. The lettuce wraps were awesome.
Did 3 rolls (314 roll, rainbow roll, amd tiger stripe) they were good but not anything special and being a big tuna fan o was hoping for better tuna rolls. The sashimi was good and beautifully presented.
Overall great atmosphere and place, I would like to try more stuff on menu, but I did all the tuna rolls besides the spicy tuna and that's the biggest let down for me and only reason this place isn't 5 star. Everything else I'm sure you will love!
Great restaurant. Really nice ambiance. Service was wonderful. Megan was really friendly and made me feel very welcomed. The Miso soup with Fish was the best I have ever had. Tuna was wonderful. The Bread Pudding dessert with Rum was out of this world. Overall a great experience
Some of the best food, service and atmosphere in any restaurant around! Mike made sure our dining experience was the best! Loren, our Server was incredible. THE FOOD!!!! Oh my goodness. The edamame, sesame lettuce chicken wraps, calamari, Chicken Skewers (THE BEST) and Rice Paper Salmon were so above what we have had in any restaurant in a really long time. We will definitely go back. If you're looking for a GREAT place to have a wonderful meal in a really cool, modern atmosphere, LOOK NO FURTHER! Support this local business. They have certainty earned our respect. We will be back! And we're bringing Friends!
Great service, relaxing atmosphere and delicious food.
Outstanding food and outstanding service! We started with the kimchi fries which were very good. I had the shaky beef which was very flavorful and filling. The steak my wife had just melted in your mouth and had the best flavor and texture. We tried the bread pudding and chocolate banana pie. Definitely try the pie! The bread pudding was fine but the least appealing thing we had. The ambiance of this place is perfect for a date night and won't break your bank. 10/10
Loved the ambience of this place. So glad to have tried it. Always wondered about it and wasn’t at all disappointed. The wontons were aaaamazing!! My food was so pleasing to my belly and I even had leftovers. I cannot wait to return to try more dishes!!
Amazing food, service, and happy hour prices.
We had no wait time. The decor is well above average. Our waiter was johnny on the spot(great). The food was phenomenal. I will be going back and suggesting Roka to friends.

great food, atmosphere, and attention to costumers! we split our meal and ordered the kimchi fries and 5 spice chicken katsu. went a separate time to get dessert and tried out the bread pudding- we got a regular size but easily could’ve done the small as it was a bit rich. great date night place!
The food is amazing. The restaurant has a great atmosphere with some awesome decor. The service was great as well.
