Great service, I love the set up here and the patio! My burger was awesome! I could taste the perfectly cooked patty, the tomato and onion was popping with flavor. I could hardly fit this in my mouth. Sweet potatoe fries were excellent. I think the prices are fair. If you looking for a quality burger and burger flavor, this is it. Fun place. Patio was so relaxing!

Great food. Service was put at 3 only because it is a serve-yourself-style cafe' and there are no servers. The atmosphere was nice and the dining area was very clean. The food quality and quantity are good for the price.
Sensory warning: The indoor dining area is loud with many echoes due to hard surfaces everywhere. But, that should not keep you from dining on the patio on nice days or simply ordering the food as takeout.
Overall, I'm very glad we chose to try The Blue Moon Cafe' for breakfast.

My go-to place for a light lunch.I just love that chicken😋Hummus and tabouli are so good too. I need to try something else but I get this every time. Modern and comfy atmosphere. Always friendly service. One of my friends said I need to try one of the cinnamon rolls. They're supposed to be scrump delicious.

Good, creative food. A little on the pricey side and didn’t quite feel full after my meal. Great drink selection though!
Overall cool atmosphere. They are part of the keep it local OK (if you don’t know what that is, google it!) which comes with a good deal if you’re looking to save some $.

Stopped in on a Sunday around 11am with a friend. You order food from a counter, then find a table to eat at. At this time of day most tables were pretty full, though the table staff were super friendly, while at the same time keeping people from lingering too long at a table. Before I could finish my first cup of coffee, we were seated outside; shortly there-after our food arrived.
My friend grabbed a bowl of Matzo Ball Soup, which he claimed was the best he has had in the state, and a Denver Omelet. I went with a 'El Segundo' Burrito (off the daily specials menu) and it was fantastic.
As we finished our meal, we enjoyed a last cup of coffee, then exited to allow another group to occupy it.
I enjoyed the streamlined dining area, and could see myself revisiting just to try more of the menu.

This cafe has been a staple in Tulsa for years. Their service is just as amazing as the quality of the food. They have so many homemade ingredients it may just be impossible to have a good meal here. I had a Denver omelette with country potatoes and sourdough bread. Everything was fantastic, including their extensive list of hot sauces. If you are near Brookside you have to try this amazing cafe!

We wanted to try somewhere new and we were not disappointed. You order before sitting down, so I’d take a look at the menu before going so you have time to decide. The French toast was great and they cooked the bacon perfectly. It’s priced very fairly and there’s so many options on the menu.

You will miss it is you're not carefully looking. This place does not have a big sign
On a weekday it seems very chill. Not so busy. The ambience is very relaxing. The prices are as shown.
You get a menu and you have to order at the counter. Maybe they were short handed it took a while for someone to come to the register to take our order.
The quiche was full of flavor, the potatoes were lightly seasoned.
I guess the service was alright.
I'm writing this as I eat. The food taste good.
The restaurant is clean. It's patio pet friendly
Most of the light is from the huge glass wall

Exceptional! This is one of those rare jems after which you find, it you go back again and again. The atmosphere was very casual with a definite boho vibe. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was delivered quickly, but not rushed. If you're looking for a place to experience good and tasty food, and not just to stuff your gullet, you couldn't do much better than this place.
If you are like me, and like a good biscotti, try their traditional one. It is made in house and is the best biscotti I have tasted in more than 50 years. Dense and flavorful, it is great if you I'm just wanting to sit and spend some time with a friend over a cup of coffee.

I had the Veggie Sandwich with sweet potato fries and an Everything cookie, it was all delicious! The bathroom was clean and the staff was so sweet! First time in...I will be back!!

This place has been a favorite of mine for a very long time! Back when I ate meat I LOVED the Mediterranean Chicken! So delicious! I haven’t been back in a while because I’ve been plant based for a year and a half.. I would be so excited to see them add some vegan options to their menu! All in all, it was still amazing! I had toast and asked for avocado on the side and made my own fancy toast!

Love the eclectic vibe this restaurant emotes. The menu is eclectic also! The food and service is fantastic! All around, a great place to eat and hang out!

Such a cute and casual cafe/ coffee shop. I got the oatmeal, which at the time was banana and date flavored. I'm not sure if that's the standard, but the lady taking my order made it sound like a temporary flavor. If so, I'd be curious to know how often it changes, because it was really good! I added nuts as a topping which worked really well with that particular flavor (banana bread oatmeal, anyone???).
The inside is smaller, but it didn't feel like there wasn't enough space. I got there at a good time though, because just before 11am (on a Saturday) people really started coming in and a line formed.
Also, the lady taking orders was VERY friendly, really knew the menu, and just seemed happy to be there and to talk to customers, which is always nice to find. I also appreciated some of the little details I noticed, like tying the sliverware and napkin together with a little piece of white yarn. So cute!!

We really enjoyed this spot. Great food and service!

Very nice breakfast location!!! Their bread and sandwiches are amazing and their fries might be my favorite in Tulsa!

Some of the best food you will find in Tulsa. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and not one bad thing on the menu!

What an awesome place for some damn good lunch. I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I had the Ruben with sweet potato fries. The home made bread is amazing. Keep up the great food y'all!
Brandy Bea Smith
Friendly staff, delicious food, decadent coffee and inviting environment :)

Great breakfast pastries - particularly the Morning Buns that taste just like those made by the Cherry Street Bakery a few years ago. Thanks for great breakfast offer!
Kathleen Clark
I had a turkey Reuben and it was AWESOME!!!
My granddaughter had a huge delicious ham sandwich, and she is very particular, and ate that monster up. Mr daughter had a wonderful spinach salad. We will be back!!!

Breakfast every day here would be fine with me. Daily menu is varied & great, people are delightful, and coffee is reliably excellent.

Great place for breakfast, brunch. lunch or possibly lupper. I've enjoyed both the inside and outside seating. Service is solid and free of the "quirkier-than-thou" attitude that afflicts some other Brookside restaurants. You can eat light, or not-so-light if you prefer. It's quiet enough that you can actually hold conversations.
Len Gunn
Nice upscale feel with a great mix of both healthy and comfort food! The mom and pop mantra makes you feel like one of the family every time you step in. PS, always be looking for the daily spesh!

Amazing place!!! We go to Blue Moon just about every Sunday!!! The food is great and atmosphere is even better!!!

What a great breakfast (& lunch - I just happen to love brek). Smiling faces and good things happening in the kitchen.

Best veggie burger in Tulsa! Go for the food, linger for the ambience.

Excellent cafe with a wonderful food selection and reasonable prices (for the high quality food you are getting) Highly recommend, especially for ppl looking for a really nice cafe they can bring their dog to.
Rick
This is a very nice little modern café in the restaurant rich Brookside neighborhood on Peoria St. Indoor, outdoor and counter/bar seating. They serve breakfast and lunch fare, but they're open until dinner time and they do serve beer and wine. Ample seating, but no electric plug-ins if you want to camp out with your laptop or recharge your phone. I had the fruit, yogurt, granola parfait which was very good and filling. No barista coffee, but the regular drip Joe is pretty good. At 7:30-8:30 in the morning it's quiet, calm and a nice place to start the day.

Lauries Lunch Sandwich. Grilled jalapeño bread, Swiss and cheddar cheese, bacon, red onion and tomato sandwich

Best after church place in the world! Always a cute pup or 4 on the patio. Betsy and Al are the greatest!

Blue Moon Cafe is a choice spot for the kids-included breakfast meeting. I wouldn’t sit inside, though – the concrete flooring can make for a loud dining room when children are along for the ride – but the patio seating, right alongside a sleepy Brookside

Delicious Dinner. I was pleasantly surprised last night when 4 of my girlfriends and I had dinner at Blue Moon Bakery and Café. There were tons of options to choose from including sandwiches, salads, soups, nachos, beef pot pie (the special of the day). Two of the girls ordered the Reuben, one ordered the Brookside sandwich, one ordered an egg salad sandwich, and I had the Samwell's Grilled Chicken sandwich. Everyone really enjoyed their food. My sandwich was on a fresh-baked bun, topped with a thick and crunchy slice of bacon, generous amounts of avocado, lettuce and tomato.

When I asked for a side of honey mustard with my sweet potatoes, the waitress said, "no problem, he is stirring up a new batch in the back, I'll bring some right out when he is done." I loved that everything had a homemade touch.

Sides included tabouli, fresh-cut French fries, sweet potato fries, homemade chips and a few others I can't remember.

There were plenty of beer, wine and cocktail choices. My friend ordered the Mocha Wolf, a hot chocolate with local coffee liquor topped with whip cream. It was delicious and the perfect drink for a cold February night. I opted for one of the shortbread jelly thumbprint cookies instead of a drink, and I LOVED it. So flaky and buttery.

I highly recommend giving this place a try for dinner.

Great neighborhood brunch spot. Brunch/breakfast never disappoints, but avoid the bloody mary
Zoe R.
I ordered the Half Tuna Salad Sandwich & a side of 'pasta' which was actually pasta salad. The sandwich was large and was fresh and delicious. However the pasta salad was very small compared to the half sandwich. It was also very bland, except for an obsessive amount of black pepper. Overall, I would definitely go back, but avoid the pasta salad.

Fine veggie burger. Ate here two weeks ago. Okay place for a solo eater, they have a bar that you can order and eat at.

I'm always happy to eat a veggie burger, and Blue Moon had a good one. Side salad was good too.

The atmosphere here is funny, it's part minimal modern, part retro (cute mixed pottery 50s looking salt shakers) and they were playing latin american electronic music. The servers all seem a little grungy/edgy alternative, yet friendly enough, which I liked.

Will go back to try more food.
Trinity Foreman
Migas! Best thing on the menu. Everything about this place is amazing!
JeJo
Assaulted. Tonight, I walked into Blue Moon to enjoy a meal and to do some homework. I asked my favorite server, "Tito" if I could plug my computer in behind the counter and he said, "Yes." A few minutes later, I placed my order and had a pretty good meal. I ordered a Samwell's chicken sandwhich but the bacon came a little burnt.

Breakfast Wrap is to die for.. I am not joking. I had the breakfast wrap and added bacon and avocado to the already interesting blend of: red cabbage, green chilies, tomato, scrambled egg, pepper jack cheese in a whole wheat tortilla. It was so good, that I'm not sure if I can even look at anything else on the menu. I can't wait to come back and eat it again. Bravo, Blue Moon. Bravo! On top of a great meal, the staff was wonderful to my obnoxiously loud brunch crowd (we may have had one mimosa, too many).

Carol. Excellent, friendly service and food. We had an afternoon snack (clam chowder) on Friday when we first got into Tulsa after having driven for 8 hours. Food was so good, we tried breakfast the next morning. Just as good as we expected it to be. We arrived for breakfast just after it opened at 8 and by 8:30, the crowds were pouring in! Seems to be a local favorite. Food was quickly served fresh and with friendly service. Atmosphere is very pleasant, clean and airy with good music. We highly recommend.

Not worth your time. This place is highly overrated and you can tell from the reviewers comments they have a low standard. No service, really you stand in line to order from staff who clearly would rather be elsewhere and then other staff who can't really be bothered drop it at your table. Okay maybe if the food was special but its not and is often cold. Some bakery items are stale as well. We kept trying but it never improved so finally gave up. Better food all around in walking distance with staff happy to see you.
Gene
Wonderful brunch choice today! Manuela's Chicken Tamale. An open face combination of tender chicken shredded and lovingly combined with delicious tamale mix, then topped with two just right sized, perfectly poached eggs. All of the above generously accented with a smooth, spicy green sauce. On the side was a nice portion of fresh kitchen made potato chips.
A word to the wise; this is not a typical sit-down-and-order restaurant. You order at the counter, take a table sign with your number, find a seat, then your order is brought to you in a short time. Drinks are self serve.
There are several tables inside, a "breakfast bar", and plenty of patio tables as well.
Josiah
Great Music - Worst Service. I tend to go to this restaurant on Friday evenings around 6:00pm because they have great live music and half price appetizers (except the falafel bites which is the best appetizer option!). My 5 year old daughter loves it. The food is decent. The pricing isn't great, but it is on brookside and it's a "cool" environment. The absolute worst thing about this restaurant is the service. The wait staff seem as if they have never patroned a restaurant before. They don't check in on you regularly. They don't communicate clearly. They don't understand clear communication. They never refill water. They rarely check up on you. They never offer your bill when you are clearly done. During one visit, my wife got up to go to the restroom with my daughter. The server approached as just asked me...."Where'd she go?" How in the world is that an appropriate question from my server?! None of your business, kid! I said..."....um....to the restroom with my daughter...." He said..."OH, well I just asked because if she's going to be gone for a while....you know...I could put her glass of beer in the refrigerator while she's gone or something...." I"ve never heard of such a thing. This was after we'd been ignored for the last 20 minutes. I don't know how the owner/manager is so oblivious to this gap in their restaurant quality. If they hire completely new wait staff...they would be one of the better restaurant options on brookside. I'll go back.....for the music....and just brace myself for aweful, aweful service.

Average Food, Overpriced. Ate here for lunch on a Monday.

Overall, I found the food just okay and thought it was overpriced for what you were getting.

I ordered a bowl of their Sante Fe Style Tortilla Soup, a hot Ham & Cheese sandwich with chips, and an Iced Tea. I spent $16 on lunch. I don't have a problem spending $16 on lunch, but not for soup and a sandwich. For $16 I could have gone to any one of many upscale restaurants for lunch.

The hot ham & cheese sandwich was bland. Rather small too. Their ham was very mild. One of the least salted I've had. The best way to describe it was to say their ham tasted weak or that their ham tasted un-ham-like.

The tortilla soup was good. A little brothy for me, but it had a nice heat and quality ingredients.

The chips were a joke. It was a bag of Miss Vickie's chips which are essentially just a branding of the Frito-Lay company. At a restaurant that bakes its own bread for the sandwiches, I sort of expected homemade chips.

Service was friendly Restaurant was clean. Parking was typical for Brookside.

I wish Tulsa had a Paradise Bakery & Cafe.

Monday lunch with the BLT and Broc cream soup. Fantastic!

Not worth the wait. Went to Blue Moon yesterday for lunch with a friend. We both ordered regular sandwiches, he the brookside, I the reuben. It wasn't super busy and most people already had their food so we figured we would get our food quickly. Boy was I wrong, 25 minutes later our food arrived. These people move at the pace of a snail, how on earth does it take 25 minutes or even 10 minutes for that matter to build two freaking sandwiches? I won't even bring up the price since that has been covered in several other reviews already. I'll stick to places like Jason's Deli where they understand the concept of time.

Great food at night!. We usually eat at Blue Moon for breakfast or lunch. On a recent evening we ventured in for dinner. We started with the nacho's, they were REALLY awesome. Then we had the fried green beans served with an incredible dipping sauce. YUM! The special, a fried cod, had a light crispy batter and was cooked perfectly! All the ingredients are really fresh.
They also have a nice selection of beer and wine!
We will definitely be back for dinner!

Best breakfast ever! Came down to Tulsa for the weekend and at here both Saturday and Sunday morning. The divorced eggs, migas and french toast were out if this world. The pastries were delicious, and the jalapeno & cheese loaf was AMAZING! Will definitely be coming back.

Delicious breakfast options. I've been coming here for breakfast for a year or two, and I can't recall a time I left disappointed. I usually just get the blue plate special, which is a somewhat traditional take on breakfast. What makes it special is the quality of the ingredients--everything is just so flavorful I don't feel like I'm missing out. The coffee is good and plentiful. I also like the atmosphere, especially the porch when the weather is nice. They have heaters for when it's a little chilly as well.

Adore this place. I have been several times, and everything I have tried is fresh, healthy, and delicious! I love the eclectic menu, I love the atmosphere, and I love the local art displays. Blue moon is adorable, affordable, and unique!

Nice place, casual, affordable, upscale. Nice place, casual, somewhat affordable, upscale with well prepared imaginative food.
Bright, clean, well designed space...menu on large board. Tasty sandwiches, wraps and salads with a California flair....even open for dinner.
Freshly baked breads and goodies too.
Good to find a restaurant serving whole wheat pancakes, served with maple syrup...add bananas, pecans or peanut butter for .50.
Omelet special was very good, although not as big as I would have liked.
Fine coffee and friendly service, very sweet owner.
Pleasant outdoor sidewalk tables too.
Great retro Half Moon vintage sign!

Wouldn't come back. Overpriced sandwiches, low-quality ingredients. The only thing that would validate these ridiculous prices for such substandard ingredients is the location of the cafe.
Lisa-midtown Tulsa
Very good! Wide selection of unique breakfasts & breakfast speacials. We'll be back.

Love this place. I eat here way too much. There's a ton of vegetarian options. Yum

Light, fresh, good all around. This isn't the place for heavy assaults on the tastebuds, this is healthy food with genuine flavor. Moderately priced. Good cookies and the pasta salad is great.
Ladymags
Fun place with great breakfast options. The bakery portion wasn't quite as large as expected but what they had was really well done! I also had the French Toast and it was likewise clearly a cut above.
John Seward
Great sandwich and soup, obviously made by people who care.....I'll be back!
TulsaFoodie
Horrible!. Don't know what the fascination with this place is. Their food is so substandard. I was there once with my mother. I ordered hot corned beef. They gave me grilled corned beef. Ordered the pasta side. It was bland. The coffee is weak. I never went back and never will.

First time to the Blue Moon. Too late in the day for the extensive breakfast menu but did get to try the mushroom bisque soup. Staff was friendly and quick. The outdoor seating area will be great when the weather breaks. Indoor seating is light and open with two walls of store front windows. With concrete floors and lots of glass the dining room is rather loud.
Lesley McCollough
Welcoming casual spot. Blue Moon has a friendly intimate atmosphere at its current location, but will soon be moving up the street. The food is tasty and healthy with a Mexican slant. Yumm migas and oatmeal for breakfast. The baked goods are always delicious and the salt & pepper shakers are conversation starters. A good place to meet a friend, although the small size of the dining area makes private conversations difficult.
Bekahsct
This is more than a bakery. Great food at breakfast and lunch.

Blue Moon Bakery & Cafe is one of those restaurants that makes you wonder what the "cafe" role is in this eatery . I mean, "bakery" gives you an idea, but is it a sandwich shop, bagel shop that only makes sandwiches or what? The "what" was the enticement to tr y it out. I'm oh so oooo glad we did! I've never eaten in a place like this in Tulsa. Made me homesick for my hometown in Orange County, California. You order at the counter, like most bagel shops, except when you're looking at the menu, you realize it's NOTHING like your ordinary coffee/bagel shop. Well, there are bagels to choose from, but you can have them topped with things like smoked salmon, cream cheese and capers. And, there's more. Below is the "Chile Verde con Huevos...brace yourself, served over the most flavorful slow-cooked pork in green chili sauce I've ever tasted. chili verde con huevos 9.95 two eggs any style over slow cooked pork in green chili sauce served with flour tortillas. They also carry a pretty d

When it comes to an affordable breakfast Blue Moon Bakery & Cafe can not be beat! The patron dining besides us spoke highly of of the Huevos Rancheros she was happily eating and wanted that to be mentioned.

When I asked co-owner Alan Fusco what his dream was when opening Blue Moon Bakery and Cafe on Peoria Street in Tulsa, he paused for a moment, unsure of his answer. Then he got called away to the kitchen to help and I kind of forgot about the question as I was busy taking in the view and the business of this little cafe quickly filling up on a Sunday morning. Moments later, Alan popped back out of the kitchen, sat down and said firmly. "I know why we did this."
