Nice ambience inside the coffee shop, they have small tables with chess and jenga set up. They had coconut , almond and oats milk as substitutes. Espresso cake was not spongy and was little hard for me . Slightly crowded and seems like a cool local hangout spot . Nice to see a bunch of bikers riding their cycles outside .

This is my favorite coffee shop ! Not only are the baristas all super welcoming and sweet but if you don’t want espresso they have a great selection of loose leaf tea. :)

The games look amazing to play and definitely going to be coming back for coffee and then muffins look delicious as well. It has an amazing vibe where I want to make this a hang out spot. Plus there's a dispensary in the same building

I came in wanting an iced chai and saw their Funky Monkey special. I ordered an iced chai with creme de banana and cafe mocha syrup with oat milk and it tastes like chocolate banana bread. SO. GOOD.
Go order one! 🍫🍌 🍞

I really recommend the grilled cheese, they have a big selection of teas and the Cuban coffee is incredible. They have a chess board and games . The staff is very friendly and they have easy parking access.

Very nice, quirky coffee house. Oddly next to a dispensary. You can smell the marijuana on the patio but not inside the coffee house. Excellent service and great food and drinks.

Came in after a long drive to get some coffee and relax. I definitely picked the right spot!
Cool small coffee place, with friendly staff and good coffee. Cozy and comfortable to sit and relax for a couple of minutes.

Super friendly staff and amazing drinks. The decorations and atmosphere are all very inviting and relaxing.

It was so damn tranquil in there. I know it's a coffee shop, but I could have fallen asleep with how peaceful it felt inside of there. The chair I had sat in was like a bean bag with structure. I could swear the damn thing embraced me in a gentle hug and said "how's your coffee?". I'd definitely go back

Omg!! So I went to the @GypsyCoffeeShop downtown Tulsa for my birthday and I'm so glad I did the vibe was so chilled and relaxed, people were just having good ole chats with each other, two guys were playing chess, others were reading a book, or journaling, while other people were just over in the corner studying. It was just the vibe and I say all this to say GYPSY COFFEE SHOP had this really great vegan sandwich that was very delicious that I had to order one to go, I loved the sandwich that much that I was like I need to make me one at home so I did and it was good.
Sourdough bread, purple onions (I LOVE ONIONS!), Cucumbers, spring mix, tomatoes, potato chips, pickle, Hummus with a white tea option from the menu and staff there were amazing and welcoming.

One of my favorite places to visit in Tulsa since I’ve been a kid! It’s such a cool place for meetings, hangout sessions, getting homework done, or just hanging out by yourself. My favorite coffee shop in Tulsa! ❤️ A must try! Plus now they have a 420 friendly patio, and a dispensary upstairs - but even if you’re not into that, it’s not included in the coffee shop!

I love that this is open late. It’s a welcoming and calming atmosphere. Perfect place to go for an after dinner coffee.

Great place to vibe or get some work done. The coffee is great and the staff is always friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend going during one of their live music nights.

We had a great experience here! Staff was super friendly and nice, putting up with our super indecisive group! Wonderful coffee and sandwiches and treats. I’ll have to come back on a night there is music!

I like the espresso here. They are thick, but not too bite. Just need a little sugar and it can make you getting addicted to enjoy for all days. Atmosphere is relaxing. Great place for hang out on the weekends with family

I had been wanting to try Gypsy, and I had the chance to stop in for lunch the other day. It's a great bohemian style coffee house with lots of couches, comfortable chairs and tables and booths, with lots of nice attention to the décor and artwork to give you something interesting to see no matter where you look. The server at the counter was very friendly attentive. I had a good café Americano and the Gypsy salad which consisted of spinach and greens, avocado. chicken, slivered almonds and a great balsamic dressing. The salad was smaller than average for this type of dish, but made for a great, healthy, light lunch.

Really good beef sandwich and Cobb salad! Very tasty

SERIOUSLY. I tried this place again. My mistake. I ordered a chai latte to go. I paid 5 dollars for a chai that may have been the 12 oz size. This is how much a 20 oz chai cost at Starbucks, but whatever. I asked for it extra hot not extra foam. Well, the chai came out like a cappuccino. My 'chai latte' probably weighed about half an ounce and was 2/3 filled with foam when it was handed to me. I was in a hurry and wasn't confident she could remake it, although I tipped her 2 dollars on top of the price (before I tasted it). By the time I got to class, it had sunken down to maybe a fourth of the to go cup full of scathing hot burned milk and unstirred chai syrup. PLEASE train your staff. You have a great selection of syrups, good product and you are literally throwing it away and wasting every dime you spend on good supplies for your store because no one can make a latte properly. I like the interior of this store but that's it. I'm not going to pay 5 dollars for this junk to stare at some cool murals. When 3/3 experiences have been awful, I give up. I seriously think the only people that must go here are older people that are catching on sort of late to the coffee house trend and don't understand what good coffee tastes like. Try Cafe Cubana's lattes... please, staff of Gypsy, I beg you to go there and try them.

Uhh... what is with this place?. After reading all the great reviews on here we were excited to try it. Well, after we drank our lukewarm lattes that did not taste like espresso remotely, that had been spilled all over the table we were sitting at-with fully a 1/6 of the cup splashing out... we were underwhelmed. At 6$ a cup that's 2$ worth of coffee splashed about. We didn't complain but I have worked as a barista thrice in the past and happen to know for a fact that there is no way the milk was steamed to temperature fresh for each drink or that all six shots in our drinks were pulled individually to spec. The clientele seems a little kooky, and not in an Urban Outfitters sense, in a just-off the Greyhound bus from rural Iowa because they may or may not have a criminal record sense. Anyway, I wanted to like this place. Feel a little uncomfortable there and it was 12 dollars ill spent.

Best cappuccino I've ever had! Also went ahead and ordered a veggie wrap--delicious! Very friendly staff, very slow service, but this is very common for a GOOD coffee shop. You can't rush perfection. Pricey menu. High tech receipt service, they will send it by text or email. Its like this iPad thingy and you have to sign with your finger. I did a fairly decent job at it :-)

Gypsy Coffee House now open in the mornings!. Starting January 3rd, Gypsy Coffee House is open at 7:00 a.m.!! Went by this morning and got a great Americano. I thought Gypsy was new but found out this morning they have been there 13 years.

Best cocoa ever!. Their coconut hot chocolate is so yummy! Rich and creamy, the best cocoa I've ever had!!

This is one of the most unique coffee houses I have ever seen. The artwork and the "genie bottle" room make the Gypsy such a fun and unique places I have found to have some "me" time. Love it!

Mediocrity at its finest.. As far as not-good coffee shops go, I kind of like this one. By all means, the drinks I've had here were poor. But the atmosphere is fun and the baristas were very nice. I'll go back, but only if I'm drinking tea or something that isn't coffee.

I CAN SEE YOUR FUTURE. Let's just start with the interior design at the Gypsy Coffee House. Comforable and relaxing. The Barista's have a servants heart. The coffees are always made right. They have delicious deserts that are huge portions, especially their chocolate cake. You can enjoy your drink and enjoy free internet service, or every Tuesday at 6:30 pm hear the talent coming from the entertainers on this Open Mic Nite. It is located in the Historic Brady District. And for all you "Psychics" they have even reported the sight of a Ghost. I like drinking their Moracan Tea and interact with the freindly guest. You might want to take with you a Modern Tech Camera to see if you can spot the "Gypsy House Ghost".

Fun! Amusing!. Mostly good food. Great Service. Go on Tuesday for Open mike(if you wish to speak...poetry, comedy, drama, etc then be there at 6:30pm for sign up. It starts rolling at 7:00 pm. The crowd is friendly and has a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.
If you want a hair cut, etc Brady Garcia (he is the the bro from the Grateful Dead) owns an Unique Salon specializing from upkeep to comptle make over for you. The entertainment alone will cause you to want to pay more.
He had the V open in the Brady area and all who go there are thanful that he has. It does have free WiFi or rent their computers, if you prefer. It is a great place to make new friends.

As Coffee Houses Go... Not Bad. I like to write at the Gypsy simply because it has that kind of atmosphere. Me and my best friend always go back to the "genie room". We call it that because it looks like the inside of a lamp :). However as far as food goes I am never impressed. AND they don't have fat free milk. Whole milk actually makes me sick so I can't have much from here. I do love, and totally order this, hazelnut chocolate milk :) it always throws them when we order that :) and their espresso is pretty good :).

There is no other coffee house like the Gypsy; it's wonderful.. I've loved the Gypsy Coffee House since the first time I walked in, eight years ago this month. I had been looking for a good, independent coffee shoppe ever since Brookside's remarkable Gold Coast shut down. Upon my first experience there, I knew this was a place to which I'd be returning. I have returned to it hundreds of times.

I'm not a Gypsy employee (nor have I ever been), but I am a major Gypsy enthusiast.

The Gypsy is not a standard restaurant by any means... so, don't expect a conventional experience there. The walls are usually adorned with art (often for sale) by local artists. The walls and ceilings are painted in unusual fashions; look up in one area, and you'll see a cloudy daytime sky; look up in another area, and you'll see a nighttime sky. There's an old piano which anyone is allowed to play.

The staff, over the years, has mostly been great. Don't go there thinking that you're going to get a conventional, overly-cheerful lad named Chip who will give you a forced, toothy grin and make lame jokes because some corporation is forcing him to. Oh, no. These are real people - often with tattoos and piercings, and generally really cool and friendly.

(I can't say that I've never had issues with particular staff members in the past, but those members are either long-gone, or people with whom I personally addressed my issues. From a standard customer viewpoint, you shouldn't be disappointed.)

The food and drinks are great, for the most part. Of course, the cappucino is outstanding. I would recommend the coconut cream soda - have them make it "heavy on the coconut" - and a sandwich called the Jail House Three Cheese. Ask them to melt it slightly for you, and get a cup of ranch on the side. That's good eatin'.

I'd avoid the nachos, though. As much as I love the Gypsy, I tried the nachos there a few years back and they tasted like warm cardboard.

The clientele is a mixed bag. I've seen all kinds there: Punks, goths, geeks, gamers, poets, artists, preppies, emo kids, metalheads, and even a church group or two. Still, pretty much everyone gets along with everyone else, and if you become a regular or even a semi-regular, odds are people will start greeting you by name when you walk in.

If you're into poetry and music, I recommend going on Tuesday nights, which are open mic nights. I personally have performed poetry and other writings dozens of times (maybe over 100?) there, and even hosted a few times. A word of warning, though... it's uncensored as far as the language goes, so Tuesday nights are not recommended for the faint of heart, people who are easily offended, or young children. Also, if you plan on performing, this is very important: ORIGINAL MATERIAL ONLY. That means you are only supposed to perform poems/songs/works that you have written yourself. NO COVER SONGS are allowed.

On Friday and Saturday nights, they usually have performances by musical acts - usually locals, but occasionally touring indie groups will schedule shows there as well. The same "original material only" rules apply. Some of the musicians are really good (a perennial Gypsy favourite, Terry Aziere, is a prime example); others are, well... not so good. If you're looking for a quiet time sitting around chatting with a date or friends, I recommend the early evenings on Fridays/Saturdays, or any evenings other than Tuesday. (For that matter, the Gypsy has plenty of outdoor seating, which is available pretty much all the time.)

On some nights, the Gypsy hosts organized spoken-word groups; on others, you might catch a group of belly dancers performing. I personally have assisted with a full-on independent film festival that was held there in 2003, performed as part of a special Gypsy comedy night in 2007 or 2008, and even held big DJ events (spinning with vinyl records, complete with a light and laser system) on a half-dozen occasions so far.

Like I said before, it is far from a "conventional" type of place. If you're a Gypsy newbie and you're not sure what might be heppening there on a given night, it wouldn't hurt to call beforehand. :)

If you're looking for a generic, corporate, cookie-cutter type of coffee experience at which everyone wears the same uniform and you end up being treated more like an "order number" than a real person, there are plenty of other places in Tulsa you can go.

If you've got an open mind and you want a truly unique, artsy, and wonderful experience at a REAL independent coffee house with lots of colourful individuals (on both sides of the counter)... then you need to try the Gypsy. It's a remarkable place.
