I visit this Restaurant very often. I always receive very friendly service and the food is always excellent. The Buffet is kept hot. I love the variety available and every dish is bursting with flavor. Beautiful, clean dining area. Always a pleasure to visit
Best Indian food in town !!service is excellent and attentive I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to try something different.
Great!!!!!!!! Atmosphere is clean and peaceful. Great service. Food is absolutely AMAZING!!!!!! If you're looking for good authentic Indian cuisine this is the place to go.
On the way to eat sushi at Fuji and saw this place and made a destination correction. Glad I did!
Nothing about this place was bad. The environment, the music the buffet layout all was excellent !
This place is truly a hidden gem, and will come back.
Take my review with a grain of salt because this was my very first Indian food experience so I have nothing to compare it to. I was never a big fan cumin (the spice) so I have always steered clear of Indian cuisine but I decided to step out of the box and join my supper club friends on their visit to Cumin (the restaurant). I was very pleasantly surprised. First you start of with some type of light crispy fried bread (not naan - these are wafer thin) and 3 dipping sauces. One sauce was a sweet sauce, the second was a spicy chunky red sauce and the third was something minty. I am assuming the mint is to refresh your palate before dinner is served but I didn't care for it (but again just not my flavor profile) but the other two - WOW soooo good. We then ordered 2 appetizers. The Mix Vegetable Pakoras and the Cumin Chicken 65. The chicken 65 was amazing. Probable the best thing, I ate, all night. The Pakoras were very good also, nice and crispy, not greasy. Good flavor. Next I ordered the Butter chicken, mild. It was very, very good but next time I will go with the medium spice, I think by that point into the dinner my palate could have handled it. The other diners ordered the Chicken Shahi Korma (good but not as good as the butter chicken - the nut flavor was strong and I did enjoy that), Daal Makhni (a vegetarian dish with lentils - I did not try that) and then the Lamb Kabobs (Tandoori Seekh Kebabs). I tried them but wasn't a fan of the minced lamb. We also (or I should be honest I also) ordered several flavors of the naan bread. Every one of them was delish but my favorite by far was the garlic naan and then the onion naan. The cheesey naans don't have a ton of cheese but they were still very, very good. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about the food and a very nice young man who took great care of us. In fact the entire staff was very attentive. I walked away a fan of Indian food (or at least their Indian food) And I will be back to this place on a regular basis.
The lamb masala is wonderful. I often get it as a to go order. I always save the left over sauce to eat with rice I make for lunch the next day. This meal is cooked to perfection. If you are not a big fan of Indian foods, this will make a believer out of you.
The best Indian food in Tulsa. They have a buffet section too so it can be the perfect way to try out many of their delicious offerings. So glad we came across this restaurant.
Cumin Flavors of India restaurant located off 71st and Memorial is just that. True, deep flavors of India. Â They say you eat with your eyes first and it has never been more true than at this place...you can see the depth of flavor in all the food being served.
Love the food at Cumin! Very authentic Indian cuusine. The chicken Tikka masala is to die for! Fresh ingredients with lots of flavor. Malai Kofta is a vegeterian option that I love : potato ball with nuts and spices on a amazing sauce.
Excellent!. Delicious Indian Fare, casual atmosphere, lovely staff. The environment lends itself to a quick dinner-not a night on the town. Very good food.
Garlic Naan. Lamb tikka masala
Enjoyed dinner here. We started with samosas, I had The daal makhni extra spicy and it was delicious! My husband enjoyed the shrimp curry. The only down side is the rice wasn't hot when it came out and my samosa was slightly under done. The naan is good and the service was great. The price was reasonable, I will be going back to eat here again.
Incredibly Delicious!. My boyfriend and I ate at Cumin today for lunch. I had the pleasure of ordering the chicken tikka masala for pick up the other night, and decided to take my boyfriend to dine in for lunch. We were not expecting the buffet, but it was perfect! When people hear the term "buffet," they think of cold, mass produced food. However, all of the food was hot, fresh and very tasty. Also, they bring fresh naan to your table. The price is also extremely doable, especially considering the freshness and the variety of food to choose from. Lastly, the staff was all very polite and attentive, despite how busy the restaurant was (it was almost at full capacity). When we move to Tulsa next year, we very much look forward to becoming regulars.
I noticed the two bad reviews on here for Cumin, and am left to assume that those reviewers must have burnt their tongues on something recently, rendering them incapable of tasting delicious food. Don't listen to them, and definitely give Cumin a chance. You will not regret it.
Best Indian food I have had since I moved here.
Finally! Wonderful Indian in Tulsa!. The lunch buffet offers a wide variety of dishes. Quite pleased that the options have actual flavor and varying spice levels! The waitstaff bring hot fresh naan to your table which is pretty fabulous! Saag paneer is absolutely to die for!
The dinner menu is quite nice as well. Lots of choices. Popadoms and various dips are brought out to your table before the entrees. My husband is British and although I am American, I lived in the UK for a number of years. I really grew accustomed to Indian takeaways on every corner and have missed certain dishes that just aren't found on menus here! The staff at Cumin were MORE than happy to prepare food we were craving that was not on the menu (lamb pasanda and peshwari naan to name a couple...)
The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. The generous portions and delicious flavors along with the stellar workers will ensure we will remain regulars at Cumin!
Awesome chicken tikka masala. Awesome, awesome, awesome!!!! We ordered chicken tikka masala and butter naan for dinner, frankly speaking I was skeptical about the curry, coz the indian restaurants here in tulsa do not meet the standards of taste and flavors of india or to say did not meet my expectations. As the curries that I tried in India palace and Himalayas they taste bland or can say lack of spices and aroma most importantly they taste sweet. But cumin to my surprise it's so unique in its taste. The gravy is thick and so good and above all I could taste the spicyness of actual chicken tikka masala. This is my first time to cumin and I decided to go to buffet sometime.
Had the chicken sahi korma with rice and naan. It was really tasty. I'd go back.
Excellent Indian Food. Indian food is one of my favorite types of food, and Cumin does it right. I've long been a fan of Desi Wok, India Palace and Kolam, but Cumin laps the competition. I've been to the lunch buffet twice, and loved it. But tonight took the cake. My wife and I went for dinner. I ordered the chicken biryani and she got the tikka masala (gotta get the garlic naan also), and it was the best Indian food we had ever had- better than Himalayas in Moore, and better than restaurants where we have eaten in Boston and New York City. Keep up the good work Cumin!
Best Indian food in town, and just about anywhere. I'm a long time fan of Indian food. Tulsa's offerings have been discouraging the last several years. To find Cumin has been a huuuuuge boon!! What wonderful flavors, and such a variety! I have been so impressed each of the 5-6 times I've gone. The buffet food is remarkably tasty and fresh each day, with a great variety. It's so nice to see different dishes offered each day at noon along with the old faithfuls. Ordered off the menu the first time I went here and it was equally delicious. So, so happy to have an Indian restaurant in Tulsa that is the equal ~ or better ~ of the best ones I've been to in Atlanta and elsewhere. Yay Cumin!!
I have eaten here three times now...Fantastic! Most recently on a Saturday at 1:30, I thought it might be too late for a fresh buffet, I was pleased to see the place packed. The owner and servers are very polite and attentive. Freshly baked nann is delivered to your table and not on the buffet. This restaurant will most definitely be around for quite a while, contrary to the belief of another Urbanspoon user. Did I mention that the food was amazing? Dinner is ala carte.
