An out of the way Mexican restaurant. Nothing fancy, relaxed, Good Food!

Actually more authentic than you might know. Not Tex-Mex. This place is hidden by the Old I.R.S. Building on Braden , just off the service road (Yale entrance). Definitely worth another visit. You get tte feeling of a mom&pop outfit that works at serving a really good meal at a fair price.

Our family loved it! We have kids ages 13, 11 and 9. Everyone's food was good, fresh, reasonably priced with prompt, courteous service. We had carne ranchera, ceviche, wet burrito, carnitas, chorizo quesadilla. YUM! We'll definitely come back.

Best in Oklahoma. We live in OKC and found this little hole-in-the-wall by chance while staying with a group at the Select Inn across the street (terrible hotel). We grew-in Mexico City and while this restaurant maybe compares to some of the average places there, they have undoubtedly some the best authentic food items from Mexico in Oklahoma. It is the only places that we would consider driving to just to eat. However, if you like Tex-Mex it is definitely not the place for you. While they mostly speak Spanish there, they will be happy to help you in English.

Better than El Rio Verde.. Fish Taco Friday is my favorite day of the week!
You can't go wrong with the torta, torta ahogada, cubana, shrimp diablo, burrito, or the asada covered in grilled onion and peppers.
Good price for the quality and portion size.

I ordered an al pastor and a carne asada taco. Not bad. The asada did not have that crusty char that makes asada so good. The pastor was fine though.

Very Good. Ate here for lunch on a Tuesday in December.

I ordered the Chicken Wet Burrito and a couple of Spicy Pork Tacos to go with it. The wet burrito was good, but a little heavy on the rice. The Spicy Pork on the tacos was excellent. My meal was very tasty and enjoyable.

A friend ordered the Super Nachos and thought they were great.

As for how authentic it is - Who cares? Seriously. All you should concern yourself with is whether or not the food tastes good. Quit obsessing over authenticity like a bunch of food snobs. Mexicans cannot even agree over what is authentic Mexican cuisine and, like the US, their cuisine varies widely by region, so what makes a bunch of Oklahomans think that they know what is authentic Mexican food?

Soda is by the bottle. They really need to get a fountain machine.

Really wish they provided complimentary chips and salsa, but they do not.

Service was fast and very friendly. Employees don't have the best English speaking skills, but that doesn't really bother me when I'm eating ethnic cuisine. I had no problem placing my order and communicating my needs.

Restaurant is a bit of a dive, but was clean and well-maintained.

Not the easiest place to find, but the fact that it's so popular and well-reviewed despite it's location speaks well of the place.

Ceviche de camarones tostada is very fresh and tasty. Spicy pork street tacos among the best I've tasted in Oklahoma. They are served with both a red and a green sauce, both were very tasty. Will be back. Oh , and ditto on the torta Cubano .

Torta de Dios. The Torta Cubana is the best sandwich I have ever had.

They have a very broad menu but run out of certain ingrediants. I really want to try the chili relleno.

It's a hole in the wall but is a good hole in the wall. It Is authentic Mexican not Tex Mex . I liked the tortas but the beef ranchera was grisily. The price is cheap and it's plenty of food. The service is fair unless you speak Spanish. All and all I recommend it . I eat there a Few times a week .

I know Mexican!. Anyone who doesn't have a good review about this place, doesn't know their stuff. I grew up with authentic Mexican food and this place, is the best in Tulsa, bar none. We're not comparing this place to out of state restaurants, after all, we live here, duh. But I will say even for border town places neighboring Mexico, this place takes the enchilada...the whole enchilada. More reviews on this place to come...with pics!

Honestly the best Mexican food I have ever had. I think the only way you could get more authentic is if you crossed the border. We make sure to go every year when in town for the Chili Bowl racing. Busy at lunch...never had a meal I didn't love. Super burrito, torta, tacos, and especially breakfast huevos. Mmmmm

Best Mexican Food in Tulsa. This is easily the most consistent mexican food in the city of Tulsa...much less probaby the entire state.

This isn't tex-mex...this is authentic mexican family cooking.

Try their fish tacos on Friday (if they have them)...you'll be hooked.

Torta Ahogada. I’m glad I didn’t get what I wanted! Well, what I thought I wanted. When you pull up to the restaurant, you wonder about your safety. The restaurant is on a back street, surrounded by apartment complexes. Seems odd for a restaurant location. All of the business in the isolated row of three small suites have collapsible security panels for the windows and doors. You take a good look around before you get out of the car. No one loitering in the parking lot or nearby. Ok we are here …let’s try it. And it is safe… Not a bad little restaurant. The inside is noticeably well worn, crowded with small tables and a few booths. All appear to have retired from another Mexican restaurant, and are now on their second or third career. The walls are covered with pictures of the menu items. A hand written menu covers the south wall. Daily specials and menu alerts are posted on the front door and on smaller white boards in the restaurant. Order at the counter. Indisputably authentic Mexican food. For my wife the chicken enchiladas. A very authentic meal. Three flavorful chicken enchiladas. The corn tortillas had been dipped in red sauce, then sprinkled with cheese, beans and rice along for the ride. No chips and salsa on the table. You can get a small cup of salsa if you ask for it. I was surprised again. My wife liked the meal! I sometimes ask myself “who the hell would go to a Mexican restaurant to eat a sandwich?” I have only tried a couple of tortas, just so I could say that I did. Nothing special. But, that red one, had my attention. I got an education today on the red one, the torta ahogada. That, a torta ahogada, is what I thought I wanted after seeing pictures. And those are exactly the two words I used when ordering. However, and I do mean a big however, I said with steak. That voided the torta ahogada order, and the meal became a beef steak torta. Not that big juicy, red, drowned sandwich I was hoping for. The torta was delivered to the table, not looking anything like what I was expecting. I was too hungry to sort this all out right then. The sandwich I had today at Tacos El Rinconcito set the bar high for the comparison for all future tortas. Chopped steak, beans, avocado, tomato, onion, lettuce and I believe a little of the spicy red gravy broth that goes with the real torta ahogada, because the lady thought that was what I was trying to order. That delicious sandwich was surrounded by a fresh toasted bolillo. It was like a very good gourmet steak burger. Excellent. After scarfing down that steak torta, I wanted understand where I went wrong. I went back to the counter and emphasized that was the best torta I have ever had; however, I was trying to get one of those red sandwiches flooded with the spicy red sauce. She explained. “Those are pork only. They are simple sandwich with the spicy stewed pork a few fresh onion rings and downed in the spicy red broth.” That’s it, nothing more. She pointed to the picture on the wall. Thank you. That doesn’t seem all that exciting… After learning that, nah. I don’t even want one now. What I had was way better than the torta ahogada. I’ve been here numerous times and usual for the tortas or tacos which have always been delicious! We got the chilaquiles with rice and beans. The chilaquiles were a decent leve of spice but too mushy for me. The flavor was okay but not that impressive. Beans and rice were just average. I’ll definitely still be going back for a torta sometime tho 🤤
