I love Hokkaido! It is the best Japanese Steakhouse in Tuscaloosa. I personally am not a Sushi person but all of my friends and family say that it is delicious at Hokkaido. I highly recommend the Fried Dumplings!!! ❤️
I love love Hokkaido! Amazing food and amazing staff! Always have great service and yummy food! The chefs are always so fun and amazing cooks! Love this place!
My favorite place to eat in Tuscaloosa. Food and service are both excellent. I have a 3 year old grandson that loves this place and cooks are always really good with him. If you haven't tried this place you need to. And you won't be disappointed !!
All around fantastic food, great experiance, and the cook was so funny��This was my 3rd time eating there we will defiantly be back!!! And some people should be ashamed of them selves for giving a bad review because one little thing didn't go your way or because you did not get your meal for free! Its an expensive and fantastic place to eat & have fun with the kids some people should be ashamed of them selves talking some of these reviews that this place is that bad sorry but its not true people�
The best food in town! Sukiyaki steak is my favorite along with the shrimp for a close second. Teriyaki anything is awesome from there. Their fried dumplings are the best in town too! It's awesome there's always either the owner there or another guy walking through the resteraunt ensuring your experience is great! No rude workers and you always have refills due to that!
The food was great and our waiter was fantastic the best we have ever had. Not sure of the name maybe Brit.

We’ve eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the experience. Great atmosphere and even better food! The servers are extremely polite and personable. Very clean and comfortable too.

That is always our go to place to eat. I like Sushi and my honey likes steak!❤️
We had a wonderful experience Thursday night! My toddler was nervous about the fire part and he only did a small portion of it and tried to make him feel as comfortable as possible and make it fun. He also did an amazing job with the food, it was perfect!
Excellent choice for my bday meal! Had my almost 10 month old grandson with us & our grill chef really entertained him. We will be back!
This is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Alabama. The prices aren't the best, but the Sushi is always good, the hibachi is delicious and they have quick service. The food is consistent and very good. I don't have any complaints except the price is high, so it is an occasional treat and not a once a month restaurant.

Closes during week 230 pm. Re-opens at 430 pm for dinner. On salads only has 1000 Island dressing. I sat at grill. It took 30 minutes for them to fill my table to start grilling. I got there at 140 pm. By 215 we were being giving to-go boxes without asking for them. Presentation was good. Grill was not free of debris from previous table (see photos).
Fantastic food. Our chef did get onto us for sharing a meal together instead of buying two plates but ah well. Sushi was fresh and delicious and their house ginger salad is always Incredible.
Our food was cooked in front of us with pleasing taste teasers... and great entertainment as well. Such a meal was created beautifully and the flavor of it all, was marvelous! Celebrating our son's high school graduation from The Capital, at Hokkaido, was indeed the best choice of restaurants, for that special day, which was also our graduates 19th birthday celebration!
Congrats and hats off to you, Jake...you're simply the best!

Epic service and atmosphere.
The waitress was super nice and made sure we werent wanting for anything. I had a california roll and 2 pieces of Unagi, and tried some of my friends steak, chicken, and shrimp combo.
Everything was amazing, and I would highly recommend eating here!
I highly recommend this place, delicious food, friendly staff, and reasonable price. It is a full experience where you see your food is grilled in front of you!
