I was in town for my daughter's dance competition from Dallas. We had a couple hour break and I am a BBQ hound, always looking for the best around.
I was blown away. I always go big to try it all because I never know when I'll be back. I ordered 1lb brisket (sliced) 1/2 lb pulled pork 2 pork sausage links, 1 jalapeno cheddar sausage link, Smoked loaded baked potatoe, 1/2 pound smoked turkey, 1 giant beef rib (weighed in at just under 2 pounds) 1 quart coleslaw, 1 quart potatoe salad, and a side of Cowboy beans. My son wanted to try the Texas Tacos so we got a couple of those too.
Man, this is in my top 5 and I've been to 30 states trying BBQ. If you haven't tried it, you need to.

I've been to Stanley's many times, mainly for the music. Last night I took home some brisket. Some of the best I've had. It's always a great experience. The staff are really great as well. You won't be sorry for visiting!
Ribs were great, brisket was delish (not too lean, not too fatty, very tender with yummy bark), potato salad was fantastic! (Beans and cole slaw weren’t my fave) Torta was soooo good!! Atmosphere was funky and comfortable, and having live music made it even better!!
Perhaps the best ribs and pulled pork in Texas. Hands down the best of the best Texas BBQ. I eat here every time I am in town.

Quite literally the best brisket I have ever eaten. My husband says the same about the ribs. We are moving to Tyler and this will be a regular stop for us.
Crazy good brisket. Ribs tasted good too. 2 meat plate comes with cole slaw, beans and potato salad. They also have these awesome sweet and spicy pickles. Make sure and ask for some of those.
I am glad I ordered the mini plate because it was a lot of food. Music was great! Food was great and I even enjoyed the bits of fat and I never have liked that before.

My very first visit to Stanley’s and I’ve lived in East Texas all my 62 years. Food is fantastic (I had the Mother CLUCKER) and wait staff is friendly and accommodating. Band was very good. Austin based Chakra Kahn entertained their hearts out for a crowd. East Texas is lucky to have these folks in our fine State of Texas!! Thanks for the experience. And one more thing.....as busy as Friday night was, the place was clean. Especially the restrooms.
