Tonight was our first visit to the resturaunt and it was fabulous!!!!! The food was awesome!! Atmosphere was inviting with the music and kareoke. Wasn't overbearingly loud as we could hold a conversation at an easy tone. Our waiter Justin was on top of his game. Our drinks were never empty and he was constantly checking on us making sure everything was up to par even from across the room. If ya'll are up for some great italian food this is the place. If my husband eats off my plate its great food!!!!!
By far the best restaurant and dining experience you will find in Tyler, Tx. The food is great, the staff is friendly, and the owners are are hands on working people. The atmosphere is second to none and this should be a must place on your bucket list to have dinner! You won"t regret it!
Hands down the best Italian restaurant my wife and I have been to. From the appetizers to the desserts, the food is phenomenal. On top of that the service and atmosphere is second to none. Top notch restaurant I'd recommend to anyone.

Fabulous! The bread is so fresh and delicious, it could be a meal itself. Everything we ordered from the fettucini to the veal was amazing and so yummy. The staff was very friendly and effecient, the ambience was perfect. We have found our go to for Italian for sure!
Mangia, Mangia! Moe, the owner, is always gracious and truly appreciates all of his patrons. I would recommend Mario's to anyone who is wanting true Italian food in a fun and festive setting.

Amazing food, impeccable service, and great ambiance.
Although we live in the Fort Worth area, my dad lives in the Tyler area. We come to Tyler and take him out for his Birthday dinner. Mario's is always his choice. (And ours too)
Great food, the bread is to die for, live music and a great atmosphere.
My only disappointment and I mean the only disappointment is the fact they put mushrooms in their meat sauce and that leaves many of my favorite dishes a no go for me. They should make the mushrooms optional. My dislike of mushrooms should not stop anyone from going to this fine restaurant.

Mario's is a great dining experience. We always leave happy. The ambiance is great for a date night or casual get together. The lasagna is fantastic and the house wines are very good too. I love the pictures of famous Italianos on the wall.
This place never disappoints. I've never had a bad meal here but, better than that, the wait staff is very attentive and friendly. The owner is present and making everyone feel at home. Really great experience.
Love this place! From the service to the atmosphere to the food it is great! We have been 3 times and each time was just as great as before. Food is really great and everyone is so friendly and the owner usually makes himself available. When we want great Italian we always come here!
I love this place. Been there three times and have loved it. The food is fine but I go there for the atmosphere on Friday or Saturday nights. I don't know if the owner sings nightly or not, but certainly on the weekends and that is when I go. Live music, some people dance and good food makes for a lovely evening.
Great Dinner!. My husband and I were spending the weekend in Tyler and decided to use Urbanspoon to find a place for dinner Saturday evening. Mario's came up in the Italian category. We were seated right away and drink orders were taken. All the food was fresh, homemade and delicious! Service, food and atmosphere were all great. We normally seek out non-chain restaurants to try while traveling, this one proved to be a winner.
Ambiance. Our party of nine had a lovely dining experience tonight, 3-21-13. The food was well prepared, the waitstaff was professional in looks and service, the live music was a delight, and the owner was there to greet and talk to his guest. It was obvious that he values his guest and his waitstaff. I only have two thumbs, so I give Mario's two thumbs up!

Love this place!. Finally got to try this place and it surpassed all expectations! Loved the crusty bread, loved the dipping oil, and loved the entertainment (Israel)! It made for a very enjoyable evening.
The entire place has a sort of retro vibe to it - and one I really enjoyed. I did notice people of all ages there having a good time. It's definitely very unique for this area.
Cant wait to go back!
Sentimental. I like this place. You can tell by the other reviews that this place is really driven by its charm and personality. I cannot disagree. I grew up in the midwest and this is the kind of Italian food I grew up eating. Most of it quite heavy, not very fancy, but very genuine stick-to-your-ribs kind of Italian cooking. You will leave this place full. I tell you what i really liked was the bread they brought out. It was hot, and the crust was crackling. I love that. Most places it's the same dull, gummy stuff covered in some weird-tasting parmesan dust. The food isn' trying to be something it's not, and it's certainly priced appropriately.
All things being equal, I'd take my wife here for a date. It's cozy, with just the right amount of light, and you're surrounded by all these old pictures of movie stars and such. I'm looking forward to trying this place again, and sampling some other things off the menu.
Great Food, Great Atmospher, Friendly Owners!. My wife and I have been going to Mario's since they were at their old location for dates and anniversaries. The owner is always friendly and welcoming, the food and the wine are wonderful, authentic italian, and the atmosphere is great on the weekends. We enjoy watching the seniors dancing on Friday and Saturday evenings. We'll continue dining there as long as they are around.

Been going here off and on for a long time. My wife and I have been going to Mario's since they were in their old location. It was one of our "quiet" places to eat.
Even at the new location, if you get there early enough, you can still enjoy a quiet dinner. (why are people so loud in restaurants?)
I can't comment on all of the food but we really like the manicotti, the house salad the bread. The atmosphere is pretty good at the new place too.
We like it and will continue to go here on our date nights. :)

Authentic Italian. I've only been once (it's far from where I live in Lindale), but I was impressed with the food. Very good authentic Italian. Better than those chains out there!
Outstanding Experiences. What can I say - I love this place. The atmosphere, the food, the service, the entertainment - love it all. I can say without hesitation that the Ribeye Italiano is one of the best steaks you can get in Tyler. And the Alfredo sauce . . . when it hits your tongue it is like liquid velvet - outstanding in both taste and texture. The perfect date-night restaurant.
Decent food, Great atmosphere. This place is a nice little pearl, they have pretty good American-Italian ( probably the best in town, because we really don't have any GOOD italian ), and very passable pizza, the owner and staff are all attentive and kind, and willing to recommend things on the fly. The atmosphere is what keeps me coming back though, nights with live music are always a hoot, and its a very cozy feeling place. Very out of character for Tyler.
Great Food, Great Place, Great Price. Cheaper than the average restaurant in Tyler, Mario's still competes with the best tastes in Tyler. The owner has owned the restaurant from the begining and still personally greets customers and asks for tips or advice on the flavor of his dishes. Live music usually Thursday Friday and Saturday nights, this is a great place for dating or family dining. Certainly plan on returning sometime soon.

Mario's is a local Italian restaurant nestled back in a strip center off of broadway/I-69 just south of Heritage (south of Carmike movie theater). I can never seem to figure out the hours of operation and we have stopped by on multiple occasions when they were closed....
