One of my favorite restaurants. I eat there almost all the time. It is so invigotating. Enjoy the food and atmosphere. Very inexpensive. One of a kind. True authentic Mexican food.

This place kills it! A taqueria with an amazing menu, assorted fruit waters, and Mexican sodas. The #7 will change your life. 2nd only to BBQ Hernandez in Tyler.

Truly Authentic Mexican Food. If you're looking for ambiance to go with your food, don't go here. However, if you're craving authentic Mexican fast food (not Tex-Mex, and DEFINITELY not Taco Bell), this is THE place to go. My husband CRAVES their Super Quesadillas (which, contrary to its name, it more like a burrito). I love their red and green sauces as well. Their success has allowed them to expand to numerous locations throughout the Tyler city limits. Be sure to take notice, however; I know the one on Gentry Parkway only accepts cash. I'm not sure if this is the case at the other locations, though.
BEST IN TYLER. This has got to be the best taco shop in the area,get the #7.

Great taqueria - don't forget to order an "Agua Melon". The tacos and super quesadillas are fantastic... definitely order an Agua Melon or you can say Melon Water - but if you've never had it, it's like lemonade but instead of lemons they use canteloupe.
The cheese on the tacos is the best.
The green sauce is fantastic.
And nothing kills that spicy hot sauce burn like an Agua Melon...
If you can, go to the original location on E Gentry Pkwy aka US 271 (on the Mexican side of town). The menu is more extensive with regard to food and they usually have different flavors of agua frescas like lemonade, watermelon, strawberry, horchata and others...
WONDERFUL FOOD!!. Great, no-nonsense restaurant. Walk-in, belly-up to the food bar, and order your grub. The corn tacos are tha bomb. Would highly recommend the #3 taco. Yum!
Pricy but still good. Its gone up in price, but its still a great stop. I remember when I could feed myself and a friend for under 10 bucks here, but nowadays its hard to even get myself fed for that! Its simplistic mexican food, to say the least, but it is what it is, and they do it well. The salsas make it worthwhile, in my opinion.
King of Mars. Great place!! I love Taqueria El Lugar. The ingredients are fresh and authentic. Everything I have eaten there is just right. I get a weekly hankering for El Lugar!!
Love this place. Been eatin here for years and just cannot get enough of it. I probably could eat it every day. I passed by this place many times before trying it honestly because I was a little leary but what a mistake that was, I was just missing out. my favorites are #7's and #6's
The absolute best food in east Texas!
Best Taqueria. Great cheap authentic Mexican food. Order a few tacos and enjoy the chips and salsa. The red and green sauce for topping is spicy and good.

This is the best taqueria in town! The#7 is the best( no jalepenos). It is absolutely HUGE!
I ate there for the first time today and got the #7 with beef and it was delicious. Also an order of chips and salsa. Highly recommend!
Good super quesadilla #7 good agua de melon and good salsa. A little pricey for the size though. But I will come again. Service was just ok, honestly could use more friendliness but did have a older gentleman come to the window and ask if I had been helped. I appreciated that.
This place was great. The food is so simple but made so well that it just kind of takes on a whole new wow factor.

Been going to this taco place for over 20 years still the best tacos in town they have green and red salsa the red is so good and spicy best place to get a quick bite.
They have pretty good tacos, and amazing green sauce too. I do not recommend using your credit or debit card with them, they will overcharge you. I had to call them to get my money back. They thought I wasn’t going to notice it!!😂
Still a local favorite of mine, used to taste way better in my opinion. The green sauce is different now, but still great service from the owners sons.
