So, I generally don't like loud and boisterous restaurants. And Walk-On's is loud and boisterous. But I'm not going to dock them any points for that. It clearly says "sports bar" on the outside, so I knew what to expect walking in. I figured the music would be loud and energetic, and that there would be a million TV's lining all the walls. And yup, that's what I got. What I didn't expect: A bona fide amazing Louisianian-themed restaurant masquerading as a sports bar. But that's what I got! Looking over the cocktails menu, the drinks are a bit pricey--over $10 for most everything I saw. But, luckily, it was Sunday happy hour, so I got a perfectly decent bloody Mary for $5.00 I started with the "Devils on Horseback"-- fried shrimp with bacon, creamed cheese and jalapenos. These were incredible. The shrimp were huge, and generously wrapped in bacon. There was just enough jalapeno and cream cheese to add a touch of flavor, but not enough to overwhelm the taste of the shrimp. These were served with some kind of sweet and spicy sauce that paired well. For the main course, I had the "Redfish Rudy"--blackened redfish, with warm tomato salsa and Louisiana street corn. The redfish was delicate, without too much spice (which I was a touch surprised at, as blackened dishes tend to be a bit overloaded with spice). The delicate fish meat paired very well with the tang of the hot tomatoes and cilantro of the salsa. The dish was good as it was, but was improved a bit with a dash of Tobasco. After the spicy drink and shrimp, I felt more spice was needed to bring the fish up to the same flavor profile. My server, Kyla, was very attentive and respectful--every request was met with a "yes sir." You don't hear that often these days, and it was nice. I spent around $40 for the drink appetizer and seafood. A bit more than one would expect walking into a sports bar, but perfectly in line with the amazing meal I had. They have other dishes on the menu that I'm looking forward to trying in the future.

Pros: 1) Good menu variety 2) Tasty fries 3) Large portion size 4) Tasty fries 5 ) Wait staff is super attentive 6) Adult grilled cheese is well made Cons: 1) Fried pickles are very oily compared to other places 2) Burger Pattie’s have very little flavor - they need more seasoning or flavorful burger toppings. The overall burger flavor was lacking 2b) I got the stuffed burger, and it was clearly two Pattie’s with the stuffing sandwiches in between them, so not really any different than a “double”

Great Cajun food and good service. We tried this place for lunch while visiting the area. I ordered the Duck and Andouille gumbo and my partner ordered Louisiana combo. Both were delicious and very filling. Our server Harmony was awesome. Will return when in the area.

Fantastic! We walked in with our 18 year old baseball team. A party of about 25. They seated us and the ladies that took our orders were awesome. Multiple checks and everything. And the food. DELICIOUS. Was my first time there and I was told to try the buffalo chicken sandwich. Fantastic! All around GREAT experience.

Mackenzie was such a treat! She was quick, kind, funny, and always had a smile! She knew a lot about the menu which is great for me because I’m a vegetarian and it’s hard to find options. Great choices! She definitely deserves a raise! I noticed she had multiple tables and was still doing amazing. Thank you Mackenzie!
