Great place to eat. Service is outstanding food is superb. Dwfinately will be making this a permanent place to eat. Best burger I've had in years
The reviews are spot on. Went on line looking for a good place to eat breakfast. skyline Cafe popped up and the reviews were excellent. We're from Van and decided to try them out this past Week and the food was awesome. I had the F16 and my wife had their pancake special. Service was excellent! Our coffee cup never ran dry, the waiter was pleasant and really explained the menu items to us and all about their lunch items as well. Home cooking just like my mom used to make us when we were kids. Will definitely be back for lunch and spread the word. Extremely clean Cafe and convenient to get in and out. Oh, the Pancakes were a whole lot better than IHOP or Cracker Barrel.
Quaint place with some of the nicest folks and fantastic food. Our club eats here a few times a month for breakfast and lunch. Never disappointed with the service and the food is always hot and fresh My kids love it out here. Everytime we go the planes are flying in and out right outside their windows. How cool is that?

I can't see how Jucys gets the best burger in East Texas when indeed the best is at Skyline Cafe. Jucys is VERY greasy and Skylines is VERY juicy amd seasoned deliciously Jucys fries are nasty. I say Skyline Cafe has the BEST burgers, Rubens , well everything is great. As you can tell I am a Hugh fan of this place. Great food and service
Quaint and delicious. My hubby and I love Skyline. I love the variety to eat perfectly healthy like one of their salads Love he Greek but also want a juicy cheeseburger or club of toasted wheat with some yummy sweet potato fries. Great sweets for dessert Scrumptious chocolate or Italian cream cake made from scratch.
Nice place, good food, good service. The title really says it all. We come here often due to their variety of sandwiches and wraps, including burgers for vegetarians. This is a kid friendly atmosphere and a good place to hold your bible studies like we do on some Saturdays. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.
Delicious!. If you are wanting a CLEAN restaurant with good FRESH food and friendly WAITSTAFF, then you should definitely give Skyline Cafe a try! It is a nice change from the greasy fried food you get everywhere else in East Texas.
What can I say Tyler. Skyline cafe does indeed have the best burgers and all sorts if food in Tyler. Great service and food EVERYTIME we go Love those Blackbean burgers too
Holly. Skyline has consistently quality made-from-scratch food at a reasonable price, with a great view to boot. I know that many people find the short drive mostly irrelevant and make a regular run to the airport for the food. I have been known to drive out to the airport just for the turkey burger myself. In my mind, it is the best turkey burger in town. I don't eat beef, but friends who do tell me their Angus burger is excellent. I also really like the Greek salad. People I know swear by the desserts and a lot of people must agree because Skyline frequently runs out of desserts before the end of the day, so they're doing something right!. I'm a friend of the Kalmowitzes, but don't let that stop you from trying Skyline Cafe. You won't be sorry and I predict you'll become a regular.
So amazing!. I love everything about them! Their cakes are awesome! I ordered one for my boyfriend's birthday. Their black bean burger and french fries are so delicious with their chipotle mayo. The sweet tes is spectacular. Not too expensive. Worth the drive. Quit complaining. If you don't want to drive out there to eat...then DON'T, but don't make other people not want to go eat there because it's totally worth it!
At the time that I'm writing this review, Skyline cafe had 100% likes, and all positive reviews. I can see why. Incredible service, great food and a unique atmosphere. I ordered the burger and was not disappointed. No frozen patty here. Hand formed flavorful burger that tasted like I had made it at home. (Yes, that's a compliment) For dessert I had the coconut cream pie- incredible! Just wish they were open for dinner. I honestly can't think of one thing that was not great. Will be back soon!
Tyler's finest. I come to Skyline at least 3 to 5 days a week. Mainly because they have such a variety of things to eat like a black-bean burger or a Ruben , Chef Salad or Chicken fried steak or spaghetti. The other reasons is their service is great, and I have NEVER has a bad meal. I mean EVERYTHING is good,

Great food for Tyler's little airport!. You won't find friendlier service at any airport in the world, I know that for sure. I have not had their cakes, which are what makes this place famous. Their sweet tea, however, is some of the best around!
I very much appreciated their choice of sweet potato fries with the burger I ordered. The burger was very good.

Good place to eat. Just had breakfast and had the best service I have received in a long long time. I used to think Cracker Barrel had good pancakes but now I have a new place to go. They were some of the fluffiest pancakes I have EVER eaten. I am planning to go back their for lunch as I work downtown and its only a 8 minute ride. Can;t wait to sink my teeth into their black bean burger and have some sweet potato fires (:

Wonderful food and atmosphere. I love the Skyline Cafe. Friends and I like to come out for the great food and we enjoy watching the planes come and go at the Tyler airport. In the spring the dragon flies buzz over the flowers and add a bi-plane like ambiance to the experience.
I have never had anything from their menu or specials that I have not liked. The Kalmowitz's are always sure to make your visit enjoyable.
Absolutely the best. The food at the skyline cafe is hands down the best in town....but the real attraction is the atmosphere and the owners and staff who are always so nice and make you feel like you are at home...the homemade cakes are also a great addition to the awesome meal you have just eaten....if you want to catch the daily special and your lunch is later make sure and call ahead and they will save you one because they usually go quick..hope you all go out to the old airport terminal and enjoy the finest food and atmosphere around.
"Go To" Eatery. Skyline Cafe has become a lunchtime destination for my friends and me...always on the list of favorites, with food that is delicious and a cut above. I like the 1/3 pound cheeseburger with all the trimmings, but they have larger burgers for larger appetites. Of course, my friend almost always gets a salad, but she's glad when I order french fries so she can share. The wraps and meatless selections are terrific, and the daily specials are tempting and priced right, so they're hard to resist. We like the friendly atmosphere, the big windows that let us watch planes taking off and landing, and the yummy food!
...this was a special place. Before I even finished my meal, I knew I would be coming back, not just for the food, but for the ambience and friendliness of the people there.
We go there regularly and love the location. Service is good and the staff is very friendly. The food is fine and is worth it for the trip.

I went on a lunch date for buisness. The food is good for sandwiches and dessert. Chocolate cake was fresh and one slice fed 2 ppl with left overs! Grilled chicken sandwich is juicy and flavorful the way good grilled chicken should taste.
Love love love this place! Just moved here from New York and my boyfriend and I have been here numerous times. The service is always incredible and they’re all super nice and welcoming. The food portions will leave you walking out of the door full and satisfied! We’re vegan and were so incredibly happy to see they have a portion of the menu dedicated to all vegan food. It makes it so much easier and it’s all of course delicious! I seriously cannot express to you how incredible this place is. If you’re in the area do yourself a favor and stop in! 😊

Went to this airport & restaurant for the "Challenge Air" event with a friend. Arrived slightly too late for breakfast (they stop serving breakfast around 10:45am), so we had lunch instead. Their menu has a decent selection, and I ended up choosing a chili-cheese dog. Everything was made to order, and the taste was good. The seating area was small and was sectioned off from the rest of the building with windowed walls/doors, which overall makes the dining experience quiet when everywhere outside (airport, museum) is busy and/or loud. Wifi was available for free on request- and was surprisingly fast up and down. Lastly- our waiter was very friendly and took excellent care of us while we enjoyed our meal! Would recommend this place if you are in the area and desire a small scale, good eats type location! The aviation museum in the same building makes a great additional to-do while you are present.
Great food with friendly staff that clearly show pride of ownership in this little cafe. Fly in or drive in it's worth the trip. And there is a veteran-staffed aviation museum right next door with knowledgeable guides and a respectable collection of military aircraft. If you're into great "comfort food" and aviation this is the place.
