Glam-ma and Bad-Pa took grand daughter Kaitlyn to American Doll for her 6th birthday. I don’t know who was more excited, Glam-ma or Kaitlyn! I made reservation for a birthday lunch, hair dressing and a tea party. While I was checking our reservations, Glam-ma and Kaitlyn had $245 worth of stuff in their carry bag. Lunch was fantastic, the hair dressing was amazing and the tea party put a really nice ending to an amazing day

We had an amazing Wellie Wishers Tea experience. The girls (4), (5) loved it. Our waitress was so sweet and helped us get some great pictures. Thank you!

It was better than I expected! The AG cafe was the highlight of our trip. My daughter giggled the entire time. The store was well stocked and had lots of staff who were all very nice and helpful. We will be back for her birthday!

I took my daughter to get her doll's hair done and ears pierced. The lady who did her hair was extremely friendly and took the time to explain to my daughter how to care for the doll's hair. We, of course, shipped while there too picking out a free things. The selection is fantastic! The staff were all great. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

This was a truly beautiful experience for me and my Granddaughter. She got to pick her doll and all the accessories she wanted. The only disappointment was not being able to get into the Salon. It was backed up for two hours. Unfortunately we already had a two hour drive back home so waiting two hours wasn’t feasible.

We had a lovely time hosting my daughter’s 6th birthday at the Tyson’s corner AG cafe in their private party room. The room was perfectly pink and decorated and we loved the touch of having the personalized happy birthday display on the TV screen. We were pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the recipe change that had been made to the children’s macaroni and cheese menu item. When we came in the summer (Aug-23) the macaroni was not very kid friendly and was not eaten. Also, the quality of the appetizers and cinnamon buns was also much improved. They were heated properly and not overly dry. The burger and fries are a solid menu option. The birthday cake that was included in the package was delicious and moist and decorated nicely. The only reason I’m not making this a 5 star review is as follows: Only half the girls in our party had an AG doll and I was not told very far in advance that only AG dolls can take a visit to the salon. Also, the girls that had AG dolls were not allowed the option to visit the salon while the others did the cupcake decorating activity. It was a one or the other choice, and I wish I’d known earlier, or that they had the option to allow some of the party to do the salon. The cafe manager was so busy but she still did a great job making sure the adults and kids were taken care of. Appreciated her friendly customer service and attentiveness even though I know how slammed the store was that day.

This was as good as Disneyworld to my 6 year old. We booked the day lunch / party which isn't to expensive. The staff were very friendly and took their time with our little one as she asked a million questions :-)

My daughter and I just celebrated her 17th birthday at the cafe, and I cannot express what a 5 star experience we had. Our hostess, Hasset, and server Nishat were absolutely wonderful and really made my daughter feel like a princess

It was a beautiful store with lots of experiences. My daughter was looking for a particular doll that was on backorder. They were able to have it shipped right to our house quicker than anticipated thanks to the salesperson. She was super helpful!

I thought the experience was very cute, very wholesome feeding your inner child meal, but for kids it would be great! For adults, it's low key a dive bar, but best fries ever

This is an experience not a shopping trip. It is a world-class tourist destination in fact! The displays are incredible, the staff is engaged, knowledgeable and helpful, and we have spent hours here without getting bored. Honestly I think we could spend all day. The bistro is incredible and they offer events. My daughter took a hair styling class, which was very reasonably priced and small class sizes, plus she got adorable things to take home including a salon apron and stylist belt, a brush, and an adorable pretend acrylic balloon. Every once in awhile we also schedule Samantha to have her hair done- what they can do is phenomenal. It always looks like she has brand new hair - she was made in 1992! The salon prices are great. Samantha had her ears pierced last year for only $6 and received 4 pairs of earrings on top!

I went here with my niece in 2019. We had a blast, Even as an adult I enjoyed seeing all the dolls that I grew up with. And reading the history. It's like a little museum. It's a bit expensive but good quality dolls. They even painted the dolls nails. And pierced their ears! We didn't stay for lunch. But I have eaten here in the past. The food is better than I thought it would be. Like ikea quality but better. It's a nice roadtrip.

We had a wonderful first time experience today! We walked in unsure of how the process worked. My girls were interested in the Harry Potter collection. While we were browsing we were approached by an associate who introduced herself as a personal shopper, her name was Virginia. She explained how things topically go (booking a reservation, picking out your doll then outfits etc) she took us under her wing for our time there and assisted us through the whole experience. She offered insightful history facts about the dolls and collections, she was charismatic and such a sweet assistant. She took photos for us and assisted with dressing the dolls. She gave not only my girls, but our little family a first time experience we'll never forget!

Did 2 adult sisters plan an entire day around bringing our dolls on an outing to the American girl Store? Yes. Yes we did. And it was awesome! We've been before, and we'll be back :) we were happy to see we weren't the only child-free adults shopping with our dollies either haha. The store is nicely laid out, and even on a nice April Saturday not too busy. The cafe does have limited capacity with Covid so be sure to call to get an appointment (the website says not available line, but you can call - we didn't, so when we arrived at around noon the next available for 2 people was at 4pm, which we did take, and they text you when available for you). The cafe was great! Be sure to take a doll (loaner dolls are on pause due to Covid, but they still have the doll chairs for your own dolls) if you have a doll they give each doll a FREE plate and cup to take home! Also, all the napkins are tied with a hair tie that's free to take home with you. The food was fantastic, we did the spinach artichoke dip, pretzel bites, salmon, and the Chicken BLT salad. All the food was served at perfect temps and was very flavorful and filling. Portions were perfect, We had to use take home boxes, wish We had room for dessert they looked absolutely cute. The salmon was particularly good! very well seasoned (not spicy) and even the green beans had lots of seasoning and flavor. My salad was very filling with the bacon the hard-boiled eggs and the seasoned grilled chicken.

This is girl heaven! I grew up reading the American girl dolls and the was excited to share them with my daughter. We have been reading the books for a couple years now and we even did an American girl party for her 5th birthday. He finally were able to travel to a city where they had an American girl store and we did all of the things. Started with the salon where our American girl doll got her nails painted ears, pierced and her hair done. Then spend some time shopping around the store and taking fun pictures and looking at all the cool options that are available for American girl dolls of all generations. Then we have lunch in the bistro which is really fun experience which includes a special seat for your doll (But there are options if you don't have it all yet) and then you get to have delicious kid style finger foods that are enjoyable for adults too. Definitely get the pink lemonade and the standard three part meal. Overall, this was an awesome experience with an incredibly helpful staff that really truly loves what they do and loves creating memorable experiences for the girls that come in. Special heads up to the mother-daughter manager salon team for being so accommodating and helpful and kind.

Beautiful Doll, Same Name as my Daughter I purchased this doll not only because it is the first Chinese-American Girl of the Year, but also because she has the same name as my daughter! She was so excited to see a doll that looks like her at the store and even shares the same name! Thank you American Girl for representing Asian-Americans especially in this current social climate. Positive representation and inclusion of Asian-Americans is so important. Our Chinese-American family appreciates this very much, and my Corinne loves her new beautiful doll! Best toy purchase we have ever made. Will purchase more from American Girl in the future.
