It is one of those places not everyone knows about. Great Irish bar with good selection of beer and drinks. All the bartenders are good but if you get Michael, you will have a great experience. Best place to go to on a cloudy day or to watch games. Enjoy...
Nice lobby, very clean environment overall. Very centrally located to many restaurants and shopping malls. Dedicated underground parking. Good fitness center. My room had a bit of a strange odor but colleagues did not have the same experience.
Tyson's Social Tavern is a hidden gem, tucked away in the lower level of the Doubletree. The food is quite delicious, from bar snacks to full entrees. Their selection of local beers is worth a return trip to try them all. The barman, Jon, is very knowledgeable about his array of whiskeys and liquor.

Went here with moderate expectations for a casual dinner with family. I left sincerely impressed with the food and service! Anthony, our waiter, was handed a meal service that would crush an average person; he executed it with grace, enthusiasm, and charm! He was the only waiter handling several large parties that evening.
In the past I've heard waiters apologize for slow service and express their frustration and exasperation at being overwhelmed and understaffed. Not Anthony! Not a hint of a complaint from this warrior! He took command of that meal service like a lone captain on the high seas piloting his ship through a fierce storm at night. This guy should be snatched up by a top-tier restaurant and paid what he's worth, which is a lot!
Food was very, very good and prepared swiftly and with precision and consistency. Wish I could have seen who was running the kitchen because they pumped out solid dishes worthy of Anthony's customer-facing service.
Only down side was a manager walking around the floor but doing little to assist. A manager needs to step up and be a doer when the restaurant gets overwhelmed like it was that night. So we sat their waiting patiently as Anthony gave each table their fair share of his time.
It is a bit of a hike for me to get there, but I will definitely be back to Tysons Social Tavern soon!
I never do this but I thought I should leave a review. I was sitting at the bar at Tyson’s Social last Friday and one of the servers was trying to fight the bartender. The server was yelling and quite rude in front of the other customers. Christian, if you read this I’m sorry you have to deal with him. You were great!
Amazing ambiance and even more amazing service. Christian was a Rockstar and made sure we had a great experience. 5 Stars hands down!
New restaurant in the DoubleTree. I had the deviled eggs (very good) and the crab and corn fritters (so-so) with an Optimal Wit draft beer (very good). Happy hour prices were very reasonable ($20 for everything). Lively crowd at 5 o'clock. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Better than average for a hotel restaurant.
Food and service were wonderful! The quality exceeded my expectations.
**Attention** - This place closed down on 12/26. They did move to a temp location in the hotel but do not have draft beer. The atmosphere is completely different. The food menu is the same but I was told a new menu is being released on 1/14. The new restaurant is set to open in March or April. They still have great and hard-working staff.
This bar is inside the Doubletree hotel in Tysons. We usually stay here while visiting our HQ. Many times, with a bunch of other coworkers who happen to be party animals and loud! They are very accommodating and tolerant and have always given us great service! I am happy that things are almost back to normal post COVID.
