Toppings Too is a favorite go to spot for Filipino food. This is one of several restaurants located in other areas including Toppings Juan in South San Francisco and Toppings Three in Santa Clara.
Conveniently located in a relatively quiet area of Union City, CA.
Seating is limited given the size of the restaurant although don't let that stop you from enjoying what they have to offer. There are always lines out the door; must be cooking up something sarap for sure. :)
Fast and friendly service.
I've enjoyed practically everything on the menu between various trips and frequently revisit lechon kawali, inihaw na liempo, crispy pata and grilled tocino.
Sizzling sisig will sell out fast; therefore, you may want to call in advance or just stop by to know if it's available.
This was the first place in the U.S. I tried Dinuguan rice plate at and it surely didn't dissapoint for an authenitic flavor that I remember when travelling numerous times to the Philippines.

Great Filipino food, from crispy para to liempo and more in between. The fried chicken tasted like Max's and the sinigang na hipon tasted like a home-cooked meal. The place is small (4 tables with dividers) and they don't take reservations so you will wait during peak hours but it's worth the wait.
I have been going here for such a long time, and every time I travel to the Bay area, it's always a place to dine you'll never go wrong and the cuisine is amazing. I have never eaten anything that was not nice from this establishment, and I have never had that experience.
This place is no joke! They have the crispiest pata I’ve had, when they say sizzling plate it sizzling hot! Huge portion, cooked to almost perfect :).
The bathroom is located outside of the premises, limited parking space and a bit cramped inside but then again I forgot all of this once I start stuffing my face with food.
The food came out within fast as well.
Crispy pata is very crunchy. My favorite is the liempo. Java rice is a must. Mouth watering. As close to home cooked food as possible.
Union City's hidden gem. A hole in the walll. Limited seating but huge menu. I tried their Sinigang na Bangus, Vegetable Lumpia, Fish Balls, and Beef Tapa. Place can be a little cleaner.
Food was amazing, portions were very filling. Rating 4/5 due to the fact they didn't have any sisig for the day. That was the main item I was craving.

This place has miniscule parking options so, if it wasn't a weird time on a Sunday afternoon we would have parked further than a block away. The place is also tiny so big groups are not ideal. No restroom either. Luckily there was just two of us and it was very good. I ordered palabok and he ordered grilled longanisa. They were out of so many things. I really wanted taho. So, this place is good and average price. All around recommend.
