Best bagel this side of the Hudson hands down. My suggestion to any would be customer is if you have a large order call ahead bc nearly all of utica is going there and the girls are cranking out bagels as fast as they possibly can. PS coffee is top shelf also.

Favorite place to get bagels and cream cheese in the area. Always fresh and tastes amazing! Very quick service too. Only complaint is the way people park and drive in and around the cafe.

Good bagels, we got a BLT and a turkey bagel sandwich, decently priced, very tasty. Unfortunately with the covid they don't do the side salads, they were also out of a couple types of bagels that we wanted, but hey that is hopefully because business is doing well. Over all pretty good quick road trip lunch stop.

Single handedly the best bagel shop in Central New York. Prepare to have a bit of a wait, the place is always busy.
Being from down in the city, this is hands down the same flavor and excellent care for their food that you expect in a New York City bagel brought to upstate. The level of customer service and friendliness is unparalleled, and any time I have family or guests come up, we make it a mandatory stop.

In the food service industry, bad customer service offenses are considered especially heinous. In Utica, the dedicated patrons who report these terrible crimes against food are members of an elite squad known as the Yelpers and Google reviewers. This is my story. To give a backstory, yesterday I cried real tears because McDonalds stopped making bacon egg and cheese bagels, and along with it their glorious breakfast sauce (I'm pregnant and emotionally hungry at this time). My hubby has heard nothing but raving reviews about this place, so he wanted to surprise me by making me my sauce homemade and picking up a seemingly "great" bagel from this joint. Upon opening the hurriedly parchment paper and foil-wrapped sandwich, I immediately noticed two things; the parchment paper was a mess, and there was a stack of bacon thrown only on one side of the sandwich-- nothing I couldn't fix myself. Not the best I've ever had (I worked at a bagel shop in Boston that had bagels from heaven!) but still it was hitting that craving spot. Now I'm about half through my bagel and I chewed on something that made me gag and nearly lose the half I had already eaten. There was a DISGUSTING greasy brown piece of parchment paper that was cooked into my egg (NOT A PIECE THAT IT WAS WRAPPED IN)! Now mind you, I didn't know it was parchment paper until further inspection by the hubby, I couldn't look at it without wanting to vomit. Needless to say the rest of the bagel was tossed. Hubby went back looking for some well-deserved rectification, he brought back said spectacle in a zip-lock bag and made a complaint-- to which there was an "oh" of acknowledgement and he was more or less ignored. Not one to let his temper get the best of him (usually), he left the establishment without proper customer service and returned home, completely disappointed in Willie's Bagel Cafe. 2 stars for effort, whoever was behind the counter was coherent enough to have made the sandwich. There was no love in that sandwich, and customer service clearly needs some improving.

Let me start off by saying that I was having a bad day when I walked into this shop located in front of my hotel. It's a smaller shop off the beaten track by a mile or two and I might have missed it other wise. Anyway, I was looking for an easy option so I stepped into this shop. The first thing I saw was their rainbow bagels. My inner child was ecstatic! I've been bugging my significant other to take me to NYC to get a rainbow bagel for a while now. I promptly ordered one with eggs, bacon and cheese in it. Without exaggerating, this was the best bagel I've ever eaten in my life. It was fresh and had the right firmness. I ate it between alternate giggles and sighs of ambrosia. It was so good in fact that I am delaying leaving Utica for my home town so I can get a few rainbow bagels to share with my 4 year old daughter at home. Very pleased with this shop and would strongly recommend it to others!

Willy's catered the breakfast for the morning of my wedding and they did a wonderful job! I ordered coffee, eggs, breakfast meats, cheese, bagels and assorted cream cheese for 20 people and it was already for pick the morning of the wedding by 8am. They were so thoughtful and even provided tongs for the food service! The prices and quality of food cannot be beat.

Top notch sandwiches, made fresh. Bagels were on point, staff was super friendly, and it didn't take 15 minutes to get our sandwiches! So glad to not have to drive to South Utica for a killer bagel!

I have been there a bunch of times and I love it!!! I think I've tried 75% of there menu and everything is delicious!!! Rainbow bagels, bacon, egg and cheese bagels, french toast, Phillie cheese steak bagels those are just some of the things I've tried... Customer service is great ,always friendly and prices are very reasonable. I would give you guys an A+ , ���

We stayed the weekend at the Redroof Inn and this place is right out front ....what an amazing place with friendly staff and more than amazing fresh food ...had the French toast was to die for ...absolutely delicious �

Today was our first time visiting Willie's Bagel Café (by recommendation of a friend). Walking in the door smelled so good. The young gentleman behind the counter greeted us with a genuine hello and was so personable throughout the time we were there. Very patient with us as we ordered since there were so many choices! Once we finally made them, our order was completed very quickly. Even the customers that were in there so very friendly. Now the bagels and sand which we ordered were awesome! The bagels I think so far are the best,, fresh , tasty and well soooo good! Thank you for making our first visit not our last one!

I saw this tiny little bagel shop while stopping in Utica overnight while traveling home after seeing family. My husband checked the reviews and showed me a picture of the rainbow bagels, and I was sold. We had to get breakfast here before leaving town. Totally worth it. My everything bagel with lox spread was delicious, and both the kids approved of their bagel sandwiches. The toddler was absolutely wowed when he unwrapped his rainbow bagel. This may have to become a regular stop when we travel through the area.

Wow! What a gem! We were staying the night at the Red Roof Inn which is half a block from Willie's. First win was they open early, 2nd win, the food is great and 3rd win the staff are incredibly friendly. So all in all, if you are hungry and want something quick and healthy, this is the place. Next time we find ourselves in Utica, we will make a point of stopping in again.

I passed this place a few times recently and was looking at the reviews last night! They made me want to go ASAP, so I did this morning! Awesome salt bagel with jalapeño cream cheese (my favorite)! Crispy on the outside but so incredibly fresh on the inside! I can’t wait to go back soon to try everything else!!!

During restaurant week i went to Willie's and was pleasantly surprised. Everything is fresh and homemade. We had eggplant parmigiana bagel sandwich and a cranberry tuna bagel. Absolutely delicious!!! Pastries are homemade. Will definitely go back.
