Review Julio's Bar Bq - Uvalde

$10 Sliced Brisket Sandwich was at least 30% FAT. (See pic - fat only) Never again! Sauce tastes like vinegar and Kraft BBQ sauce mixed. I do not recommend.

I love their breakfast tacos here, but the past few times I have gone I have waited over 45 mins for just tacos. Never really sure if the waitress has forgotten to turn my order in, but I have had subpar service the past few times I have come. I use to be a regular when I lived here in town, but really disappointed that the past 3 times I’ve gone to eat here, I have not had pleasant experiences. Their food is good though, but rather go somewhere else with more attentive service.

I wanted to leave a good review but here's the facts. Stopped in for a taco on my long drive home up north. My order was given to someone in the drive through by mistake, after 30-45 minutes the waitress realized this, as I was looking hungry, pero nada comida!(no food) Hey accidents happen. I was in a hurry so ordered a fajita taco. And if course they are better than every other Mexican place on the planet so they are the ones that charge you for chips and salsa. Because? Yeah not better. The fajita taco comes out obviously late and with nothing in the way of hot sauce, and I have eaten the salsa I had to buy as I sat reading a book waiting. I'm still cool though, I had a nice conversation with Julio, the owner while I waited. I asked the waitress whether they had some pico because the taco came out with nothing. Sure! She brings enough for a taco out and I'm good. I eat and go to pay at the counter. The bill seems high? I look at it, the taco is 3.99 I have been charged 3.29 for pico. After the taco being 30 minutes late. Then the hostess turns the screen to me with the "how much would you like to tip" screen starting with 18 percent! For those of you who have made it through this slog. The fajita taco itself was well and good flavorful, but the meat was low quality to the extent that in one taco I had to expell two mouthfuls of inedible grizzle. I may have been just unlucky, there are bad days but that bit with the pico is just rude. There are better places that are not so full of themselves. Give them your business.

Wow! This is a great place to eat in Uvalde! We were looking for a good place to have breakfast and the UPS driver sent us here. Whether you want breakfast tacos or a traditional bacon egg and pancake breakfast, this place does NOT disappoint!! If lunch is what you're looking for, they make great brisket. This restaurant is clean and well managed. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. We never had to ask for more coffee! It's located on Getty so not far from downtown. ENJOY!!!

Had chicken fried steak, Awesome! Hand cut fries were super. Great food and fair price.

Just ate the best cheese pepper steak I have ever had!!!

One of my favorite places to eat. The portion size and quality are both good. I recommend the "el grande" burrito from the breakfast menu.
