The food was amazing. The sopes were out of this world good. Their salsa is really really good. We went thru 2 bowls between the chips and our meal. Service was good. Lunch specials were great. Really liked the speedy Gonzales. Taco salad looked amazing!

Great Mexican restaurant!! The menu has a great assortment and includes a kids menu. If you have a picky eater they have some American flavor on the menu also. We ordered the guacamole dip with the cut up tomatoes and onions while waiting. They have coke products and a stocked bar which you can choose to sit at. I ordered the fajitas which proved to be more than I could eat. The other dish was a number 13 combo. He had it 5 minutes after I took the picture. Enjoy!!

Don’t do Doordash or order off the app from here. They had no idea they even had an order from their resteraunt, so I had to give it to them off the app when I arrived. They then tried to charge me for it, and I had to explain to them - again - this is a customer’s order that they paid for online. They sent out a lady to frown at me and go “Uhhh yeah we don’t have tablets sooo we don’t know when we have Doordash orders. You’ll have to wait while we figure it out.”. Are you kidding me? You need a better system here, for the sake of Doordash drivers and especially your customers!

Every time I come to Valdosta to visit family we eat here and love it. They come almost every Sunday. They usually have Elvis as their server however he wasn't available last night. The server was good and the food was great!

I feel very disgusted... I ordered a 8 piece wing and after eating 1 I notice they was under cooked. I notified the server.. he argued me up and down the wings wasn’t under cooked and wouldn’t take the wings off my ticket. Terrible customer service

Carnitas heated In the microwave, coke with no carbonation, the waitress had no clue of what she was talking about when she asked if I wanted corn or flour tortillas then she told me that the corn tortillas were the hard kind? Wth wouldn't that make them tostadas? I definitely will not go back, I hope they don't make anybody sick with them nasty pieces of pork that they call carnitas

Disappointed. Had dinner and ordered Mexican steak and chicken casadias. Casadias were warm at best. Asked for Mexican steak sauce to be on the side. Manager said it does not come with it any more

Ok, but not our favorite in Valdosta. Took the family to this El Toreo and was really underwhelmed. Nothing was really wrong, but nothing was great either. The greeter and servers were polite and service was pretty quick, but I just wasn't impressed with the food. Don't get me wrong, we all (family of 4 w/ 2 small kids) ate our food, but honestly I would have been just as happy at Taco Bell. I got the steak burrito and my wife got a combo platter. Burrito was ok, and the combo platter was too, but the tamale was way to bready for our taste (almost nothing inside). Probably go elsewhere on our own, but not like I would refuse to go back.

An OK Mexican. I don't understand the negative reviews. I have frequented this restaruant a number of times personally and on business. The service has always been very good, the prices very reasonable and the food has been very good. The facility is modern, tastefully decorated and clean. I have returned and will continue to return again and again.

Love it!. Eaten here a few times and absolutely love the food! One of the better mexican restaurants I've eaten at. Plus, who doesn't love 99cent margarita Tuesadys? Highly recommend!

Best Mexican Restaurant I've ever tried. I love El Toreo so much that I crave it. I love coming to this town just to eat at this restaurant. We eat her regularly even though we are out of town. Even though we have had a few excellent waiters, mostly good waiters, and the occasional bad waiter, the food is always terrific and tasty. Since most of our visits are good or really good, our family always chooses to eat there. After eating at both, I believe they are both good but I kind of prefer the newer restaurant over the original one. It seems there overall service has been more consistent of the two. But, either one is a good place to eat at when craving mexican food. I love the Burrito Supreme covered in cheese sauce with extra sour cream. Yum! Yum!

Not impressed. I went to this El Toreo hoping it would make up for the horrible experience at the other location on Gornto. I was not impressed AT ALL. There was 1 waiter who had probably 10 tables, and he was bartending as well. It was apparent he was stretched too thin, but the manager didn't seem to care one bit. Our food was luke warm and not all that great taste wise either. Both locations need a major overhaul, because I don't see how they can keep customers coming back.

The Same Ol'. As a Valdosta native (who has moved away), I have visited El Toreo (both locations, and their old location, as well) many times. Having patronized MANY Mexican restaurants, I can safely say that El Toreo tastes like many of the other "local" Mexican restaurants you may find in any other town. <br/><br/>To me, this can be a good thing, depending on what you're looking for. If you are searching for truly authentic Mexican food (which I personally do not like), then you won't be satisfied here. If you're the type that frequents other Americanized Mexican restaurants (with names like Amigo's, El Meson, etc.) and enjoy them, you'll enjoy El Toreo, as well. <br/><br/>I will say that their salsa is delicious - not too much soapy cilantro for all the cilantro haters!

Stopped here during a road trip. Needed a place to eat with my family that was pet friendly. Not a bad restaurant. Easily accessible from I-75 and they accept pets if you dine in the patio area. We would def eat here again if we were in the area!

Small menu, big prices.. Let me say up front that El Toreo does have really sweet drink specials. However, I rarely drink.<br/><br/>With that said, the food is VERY basic and unimaginative. Not only that, but it is much pricier than better Mexican restaurants in the area. Not impressed, and I've visited more than a few times in an attempt to see what all the fuss is about.
