I'm from Chicago and while out in Cali, I've made an effort to drive up to Ventura 3 times to have, literally, THE BEST pizza of my lifetime!! Again, I'm from Chicago and we've got great pizza!! (not deep dish, locals don't care for it, that's a tourist thing) Plus, I've been to New York and their NY Slice of Pepperoni is to die for. I also have gone to Naples Italy and don't get me wrong, their pizza is authentic and truly one of the best pizzas I have ever had. BUT: given all of that, Tony's Pizzeria in Ventura CA is #1 in my opinion. Worth the flight from Chicago as well as the drive to Ventura. ENJOY! 🍕

Tony's pizza is the best! We used to get it and take it to the races at Ventura Raceway. It tastes the best when it's fresh out of the oven. YUM! Try it, you'll like it! And they use whole black olives on their pizzas!

Their NY-style pizza was so good! Employees were really nice. An added plus---they allow your dog to sit out on the patio! Jenga and other games to keep you busy while you wait. Nice, laid-back vibe! Will return soon!

A godsend to those working late at the faire. Fun, casual atmosphere, kind employees, good music, good pizza. The music and beachy atmosphere is uplifting and lends itself to an air of playfulness.

Reminds me of how pizza was made growing up in the 70's before the "fast food" pizza being served up today. The dough is thin and the crust has that hint of sourdough going on. Nice oregano in the sauce and the balance of sauce and cheese is right on! Thankful we found this place!!

I am a pizza freak and I loved their pizza. I am from New York and it was not New York pizza but I gotta say it was better in its own way.

It's affordable, delicious and a must have if in Ventura. Really great staff and fun games to play outside while you wait. Can't wait to go back.

Love thin crust pizza. Toppings were fresh - pepperoni, sausage, ham, bacon bits, red onion and green bell pepper. Cooked to perfection.

Great pizza, the crust is awesome, sauce doesn't overwhelm the toppings. Great atmosphere and music.

The sauce is the secret! Salty, with a hint of garlic and chili. I love their crust.

The best pizza around. I take my friends here frequently. This last visit, the wind flipped my plate and my slices took to the asphalt before o could do much as gave a bite; the crew were sympathetic and gave me two new pieces!

Had the best pepperoni pizza I’ve had in years. My kids are in their 30s now and I used to take them for icy‘s when they were little. Great memories and still happening today with my grandson

Very flavorful thin crust pizza, freshly made (you can see the cook flipping the dough, very old school!). This is basically a pizza takeout stand with a large tiki-style outdoor dining patio (no indoor seating). Reasonably priced, slices are $5 each and a medium pizza starts at $15. Pizza by the slice are available if you don't want to want the 30 minutes for a custom pizza. I like the eco-friendly way they put the pizzas on cardboard disks in a paper bag instead of pizza boxes.

Huge pizza slices and incredibly greasy but very delicious. Amazing pizza for Southern California. Also has a good drink selection and nice patio with live music. A very chill place to hang out if you can ignore the sounds of cars.

I love this little pizza place off the 101. I often stop here for slices when driving south to LA. Their sauce really shines through and the crust is crispy. There’s also a cute outdoor area. I’ve hung out here with friends and had a beer and a slice.

Active local pizza spot close to everything. We ordered a medium pepperoni and mushroom to eat on the patio. The fire pits and hanging lights make it a nice place to spend the evening. The pizza was good, but I was expecting a little better given the other high reviews. Crust medium to thin, a little crisper than I prefer, and the toppings just average. The 2 of us finished a medium. Overall good and fun but not perfect.
