This place has an old school vibe that brings back the best memories of my childhood! Great comfort food. Simple cozy seating and well priced. My husband and teenage son are very picky eaters and one has a food allergy. The staff accommodated the allergy no problem. The 3 of us loved every bite! We will most definitely be back. Craig's is Vernon's hidden gem.
Me and my fiance ordered to go and he got the jerk chicken with yams and mac he said it was delicious, and I got the fried fish collard greens and mac. It was the best fish I have ever had!!! The mac and collard greens was also amazing. This will for sure be our weekly take out spot! Thank you craig!!!!
we thought we’d try this place yesterday for breakfast after we googled breakfast spots. OMG unless you’ve eaten there it’s hard to explain how unbelievably awesome the food is. You take one bite and your taste buds wake right up. We had eggs, hash, bacon, potatoes and everything was so good. The place is so very clean, the nice lady waitress was so helpful. Can’t wait to try lunch, and dinner.
Stopped in for breakfast this morning. We were really impressed! No frills dining, but the food was absolutely fantastic! Seasonings were spot on. Definitely the best hash and eggs I've ever had. Really friendly place too, can't wait to go back to try lunch or dinner sometime.
Me and my boyfriend shared two pork chop meals with corn bread, fries, mac n cheese and a large order of collard greens! EVERYTHING blew our mind, amazing food! The jerk is perfect not too spicy, and the fried pork is out of this world. Don't miss out on these collard greens! Craig's in there working hard with all his crew, awesome place! You'll be seeing us again and again!

My Parents and went here for lunch yesterday. My Father and I had the fried whiting and my Mom Cat Fish. The food was amazing. Seasoned to perfection. The interactions with his customers is great as well. Make your way to this awesome place. You won't be disappointed. I mean he even personally held the door for us to leave out with a little conversation before we left. What a guy, what a place��
Best steak and cheese grinder every cooked by Craig himself. I also enjoyed the hot seasoned fries. Would recommend getting a water filter for the drinking as Rockville's water has a high chlorine taste. I am definitely going back.
Went to Craig's for the first time today; it will not be the last! The place is clean and bright. The food was delicious (huge portions)! My waitress was wonderful! And I had the pleasure of meeting the owner/chef. Delightful, I would highly recommend a visit!

The food is phenomenal!! Craig is so nice and personable and very clean! I tried a little bit of the jerk chicken, fried chicken, green beans, baked Mac and cheese, and potato salad and oh my goodness! I was in heaven.

What an absolutely lovely experience. We decided to try Craig's Kitchen just 30 minutes before closing fully expecting to have limited options but he proved us wrong. The fried chicken was fired up per order, the sides flavorful and steaming hot. Not only did the meal satisfy us physically, the experience was emotionally satisfying. Thank you for being a kind human being who share our love of little dogs 🐕 ❤
Food is absolutely amazing the drive is worth it. However I hope he will start having more in stock every time I go something is out always out. On the flip side, So glad he moved to a bigger spot and congrats on the one man show. Again food is amazing. I just hope food doesn’t keep running out. And I don’t think the fries should have bones in them. I was slightly disappointed in my last visit.
It was so nice to finally find some good food around here. I moved from Chicago, and it seems like a lot of restaurants in the area are not worth visiting twice. I will definitely be back to this one. We had: fried chicken, jerk chicken, cabbage, fried okra, black eyed peas, cornbread, and mac and cheese. All great. I look forward to trying more items on this pretty extensive menu.
It was our first time going there, Craig took our order. He was really sweet, very patient explain the difference in menu he was also accommodating because my pregnant daughter had all kinds of requests. Please support this restaurants. I truly recommend anyone going there not only for the food but just for the service it was exceptional!
Finally tried here tonight after wanting to go since it opened, and will 100% be back again. The food is phenomenal! I got a large combo so I could try quite a few things (jerk chicken, smothered pork chops, mac and cheese, collards, black eyed peas and corn bread) and have some leftovers for later. It was all amazing! The mac and cheese and jerk chicken were the best I’ve ever had. The smothered pork chops were so phenomenal I think they’re now one of my favorite foods. I would definitely recommend everyone to try here, 10/10!
Traveling through on the highway and stopped in because I wanted something to eat that wasn't just McDonalds or Burger King. This little hole in the wall served up the best jerk chicken I've had in years, and I felt the portions were more than generous.
My only regret is that I found this place and don't live closer. Well worth the stop, and will be going back when in the area again.
I call this the best fried chicken in the north so I went down and met the owner. I was so impressed with his drive and that he gives so much back to the community. I honestly give this place 6 stars because he accommodated my special request with a smile. But it's really the sides that get me. Where else you get fried okra and greens?
SO GOOD! I ordered the jerk chicken with mac n cheese and cornbread. It was just enough kick and the chicken was moist and flavorful. The cornbread was the way I like it - not too sweet and not too dry. And the mac n cheese was smooth and savory. Win!
