So I gave a five mainly for the awesome location and view of the ocean. The food us good but probably a four. We went first breakfast and dinner on the same day. It was our last day before heading home and we just wanted to take in the view. Breakfast was average and dinner was good. Happy hour is 3:00 - 6:00. Some app and drink specials then. The best view in the area that I know of. Worth a stop.

Very nice place at the edge of the beach in Vero Beach. It is very casual. They offer indoor and outdoor seating, and the beauty is to sit outside facing the beach in the sunset hours. They have a full bar and offer a Happy Hour on beer, select wine and liquor. The food is delicious and their service is very friendly

Great place for an atlantic on the beach breakfast. Just something not to miss in Vero. Yes, they are complicated to get seated and the service is medicare. But you get the best view close to Atlantic sharks and waves. Food is good but the best is the view. No mask mania when we went so keep the muzzles off you smiling faces...

Unfortunately I wasn't aware that the bartenders no longer have to wear masks here. That was troubling. Also, multiple orders were all mixed up and my friend was given the wrong burger. It was Friday evening, I understand it gets busy, but it took so long to get our meal she just ate what she was given. Bartender sneezed, behind the bar, no mask, no tissue. I've been to Mulligan's many times before and this wasn't the case. Guidelines seemed to matter. I guess covid-19 is no longer an issue here? Such a nice tiki bar atmosphere on the ocean too boot. Just hoped for more care and structure.

Did not like it at all! Food was not the quality you would expect for the price. I had the surf and turf was suppose to be a 10 oz steak with a skewer of shrimp and 2 sides, the steak was the size of a deck of cards but half the thickness and 2 large shrimp on a 12 in skewer, meat was dry and tuff for ordering med rare, my broccoli had no flavor the Caribbean style rice was white rice with over cooked veggies in it taste like it was out of a microwave bag. All that for $31. I ordered a cocktail hurricane george I’ve had better at Apple bees, I hate Apple bees! the only thing I did like was the mussels for an app. The marinara it was cooked in was excellent but the bread they served with it was a freezer version of Olive Garden.. my wife ordered king crab as it was her birthday later the server comes back they are all out! All out on a Friday afternoon at 430pm! What kind of place runs out of food at 4:30 on a Friday at the beginning of summer! They brought her a salmon dish with a sauce on it, it was so dry the sauce didn’t help, it was suppose to have fries they brought her mash potato instead! Ultimately the server was just poor he did not charge for my wife’s plate but he was slow and did not pay attention to his orders, if you see the food on the plate is not what the guest ordered don’t bring it out. Overall the $90 I spent there was a waste. I have eaten better at Apple bees and I hate Apple bees!

Best thing going for this restaurant is the view. Food Quality isn't great. Went for Happy Hour for the specials, ordered nachos and their 21oz fun bowl drink. Nachos were served with no meat, which we added to the order when we placed it. Drinks barely had alcohol in them. Ordered their early bird dinner special as the waitress suggested in was a customer favorite. When we got our food it was all greasy - I understand that fried fish and French fries are prepared in oil but it should be drained off before being put on a plate to be brought out to the table. The restaurant seemed short staffed and the staff that is their needs to be retrained. My suggestion is skip this restaurant their are a few others in close proximity that I feel would be a better choice.

Went there with a few friends. Sat on the patio which I loved. Service was pretty great saw our server quite a few times so that was great. Felt a little rushed but we take a while to order, didnt know then menu. Food for the price could have been better. Burger was dry and so was my friends Turkey. It was edible loved the chips too. We would definitely go back

We were a party of 4 and we went there for dinner on Saterday at 5:30 because we wanted their Hog fish. (I had never had Hog fish) They seated us out side on the deck and the service was fabulous. Three of us ordered the Hog fish which was great but my boy friend order the grilled Mahi Mahi which was very dry and over cooked. He left most of it on his plate. He would have asked to replace his fish with the Hog fish but we got the last 3 portions. Very disappointing hense the 4 star award.

Inside was packed so we opted for the outside dining area. Beautiful view, fast service and my BLT was delicious. Only change i would suggest is to the only side you get, a small dish of potato chips? For $12 you would think you would at lease get a pickle, and at some places fries, but not a small side of chips. Just my opinion.

I like the Caribbean music in this place. There is an extensive menu to satisfy any appetite. The reason I give three stars is because of the cleanliness. The floors look dirty and the toilets smell.

Went for breakfast yesterday sitting on patio outside, enjoyed great view of the beach.. Waiter Mike, was very friendly and provided excellent and timely service, making sure I had everything I needed. Simple breakfast was perfection. Everything hot, fresh, well cooked, and delicious. Good coffee. Ready to go back for more and try lunch or dinner on my next visit.

The worst service, waited 50 minutes to order; server never came had to get a manager, brought us complementary drinks, said server would be right over, waited another 30 minutes, no one ever came! Have not been there in over six months due to poor service, almost a repeat of the last time. As a local it’s a shame I would not recommend this place

Horrible service. When we finally got our food it was not cooked all the way. This is our third and last time trying this restaurant. Every table around us was complaining about food and drink service. The manager was completely aware and yet did nothing.. he was even walking around laughing like it was a joke. On the way out we told him we won’t be back. He didn’t seem to care.

Nice place. Friendly staff. The fried Chicken Benedict was a great dish and my boy got to enjoy the ocean while we ate outside with a great view. Would recommend this place for a good meal.

Reading some of the negative reviews I have to wonder if we ate at the same restaurant tonight. We were seated in a reasonable amount of time, much less than we were told to expect. The server was pleasant and fairly attentive. The seafood bisque was very good with plenty of chunks of seafood. I shared the smoked fish dip with my wife. The dip was tasty and not over smoked. The jalapeños, diced tomato and red onions were fresh. I have the blackened grouper with a side of broccoli and sweet potato fries. The grouper with pineapple salsa was moist and not too spicy. (I would have blackened it more if I had cooked it.). The broccoli was firm and fresh, not over cooked. My wife had the fire cracker shrimp tacos, shown in the picture. She said they were very good and filling.

Met some friends I had not seen in several years. She chose Mulligan's Beach House at Vero Beach. Great choice! I ordered the Lobster Melt and my husband ordered the Blackened Grouper. We were both very pleased. A must for visitors and locals alike.

We are local and this is one of our favorite places. My husband loves the monster fish & chips. I love the mahi mahi with mango salsa. Breakfast is always delicious as well. Love the guy singing Buffett songs on the weekend. And the VIEW is to die for sitting at the thatch roof tables with feet in the sand. Never, ever been disappointed here!

I don't even know where to start with this review. First and foremost, the food is absolute garbage. It's nothing but Cisco frozen food that has been reheated or fried in the kitchen, thrown on a plate and then overpriced. The drinks are also ridiculously overpriced and watered down. $10 for a margarita? That had no discernible alcohol in it? Give me a break. People will justify the high prices on the basis that is directly on the beach in Vero. Well between the restaurant and the beach is a large smelly dumpster full of rotten food. Not exactly a pleasant seaside view. I recommend that you save your money and eat elsewhere! Anywhere else! Even Burger King or McDonalds would be a step above eating at Mulligan's. I have no idea how they stay in business except for the expensive drinks and I guess they have some sort of nightlife going on. If that's your thing, go for it. But if you're hungry, save your money and go somewhere else. Update - October 29 2015. Unfortunately over my objection I was once again obliged to dine at Mulligan's beach house Bar & Grill. My opinion of this place has not changed, if anything I would give mulligans 0 stars if possible. Now in addition to having really lousy food, which is obviously just reheated, frozen Cisco food service food, nothing fresh at all to be found, it is also gotten to be extremely dirty. They have not kept up with reasonable standards of cleanliness. The chairs and the backs of the chairs themselves were actually crusted with dirt to the point that I had to use a paper napkin to pull out my chair because I was afraid to touch it. The floors were sticky with caked on dirt and don't look in the corners, whatever you do! I guess the tourist trade keeps this place going because neither the food nor the atmosphere is acceptable.

A Brake on a Drive. While driving on Hwy A1A, I was hungry and needed a break so went to this restaurant. The main area is a large bar with some tables on the inside and a few on the patio. There were numerous items I would have like to try, mainly dinner entrees but I chose light with fried fish sliders. They, two sliders, arrived in reasonable time and the fish was moist and cooked right, in a light batter. The mayo complimented the fish and the bun was light and tastee The meal came with a small portion of ‘skin on fries’.<br/>I would recommend this restaurant and would have liked to tried a dinner but as I said was just passing through.

EEEEEEK! METHINKS NOT!. EEK! Methinks Not; is right! Customer Service/ Wait staff service is not even mediocre at best! Definitely a need for training! Being in the service industry and knowing the simple aspects of what make people actually want to come back to an establishment; it is important to again say...Methinks Not!<br/><br/>Have visited this establishment before and received OK service, but last night was definitely off. Sat at the High Top tables for 27 minutes; Wait staff passing us without any acknowledgement, no eye contact, no menu offering, no drink order; called out to staff and nothing. Two other tables that had just come in after 20 minutes after us being there, were immediately served, offered menus, and brought drinks. <br/><br/>After explaining to hostess staff that we'd yet to be served and I'd like to speak to someone from management, the hostess immediately brought us menus and asked what we'd like to drink. Mind you, she is not waiting tables in this area; working as hostess. She said shed get a manager; brought us our drinks. The two same waitress' continued passing out tables and no eye contact, no acknowledgement, nothing. It was not only bizarre, but inexplicable; and moreover unacceptable. <br/><br/>At this point we waited another 8 minutes and realized that if this was still the experience 35 minutes in this establishment, it was probably not going to change. We got up and left; completely unnoticed. Never Again! Management please train your staff; highly necessary. Mind you this was not taken personally at all. Be on notice, however, that your customers are observing your work and grading you on your level of service. When one goes into an establishment, one expects a basic level of service which includes a basic acknowledgement of your presence. That is an affirmative duty that must occur by wait staff. <br/><br/>Ended up having dinner at the Kilted Mermaid in Vero Beach, I guess that was where we were meant to be last night. Mulligan's in Vero Beach, great location, but NEVER AGAIN! NEVER!!!!

No Problem Here. We are full time new residents and have resisted trying this place because of all the negative reviews. But we were pleasantly surprised that it is way better than the other reviews have reported. I'm a fish and chips fan and have tried them up and down the Treasure Coast. Mulligans is by far the best. We had a little problem with our server but nothing unusual for such a large place with a young staff. Ignore the other reviews and give Mulligans a try.

If you come for Happy Hour, plan on being disappointed. The bar staff was very unfriendly, rude, and inattentive to the customers not seated at the bar. Won't waste my time coming here again. Bring your own bottle and sit on the beach.

Got what I expected. There was a long wait, so we sat out on the Adirondack chairs where it's first-come first-served. I ordered the mahi Reuben and gf got the fish taco. The Reuben was delicious, taco not so much. The fries were outstanding, and conch fritters were as expected. We received pretty good service, but I had to ask 3 times for a refill. The bathrooms needed paper when we got there and gf told the hostess. When we left the bathroom still needed paper. Overall enjoyed it, but needs some work.

Sky high price for so-so food. Recent price hikes are a slap in the face. An entree that was $24 is now up to $30. For prices like that, I can go across the street to the Ocean Grill and get far better food and drink, way better service, and the same view.<br/><br/><br/>-----27 Feb, 2014-----<br/><br/>Ho-hum food at exorbitant prices. Recent extraordinary price hike in all aspects of their food and drink menu. seafood risotto up $6 to a towering $30. Their drinks are up to $10-11! Food is ho-hum at extremely high prices. We ate there monthly for 10 years, but we won't be back.

Mixed at best. I was in town visiting my in-laws and we went her for dinner on the beach. <br/><br/>I had Florida grouper, grilled. It was very tasty and wasn't disappointed here. The key lime pie for dessert I found to be very heavy and not particularly tasty.<br/><br/>The waitress was nice, attentive and seemed to know what she was doing.<br/><br/>The hostess at the door really spoiled the night. We asked for a seat outside and were directed to a table right by the door. I asked for another and she said the other tables were being set for a large group...so we say inside. The truth is the group was in another part of the restaurant. This mix up was not the cause of my disappointment as much as it was the stunned cow look the hostess had. I'm not sure what jobs she's had before but she's not cutting at this one.<br/><br/>Will I go back? Probably only because it's very close to my in-laws condo. I won't be back until I've tried other restaurants in the area first though.

LOVED IT!. I honestly can't imagine why the reviews/ likes are so low on this restaurant. Perhaps they have made some recent changes? We went here for the first time on vacation last week. The seating is fantastic- outside is on the beach sand! <br/><br/>The food was wonderful! I had jumbo lump crab eggs benedict. Wow! So much crab! To get that much crab out of a can here in the middle of the US costs as much as the entire meal (about $10). Seriously wonderful! I asked for my eggs to be poached hard, and they were perfect. <br/><br/>My husband had an omelette with crab and sausage and said it was very good (mild sausage so it didn't over power the crab), our 3 year- old ate and loved his pancakes, and the service was very good.<br/><br/>All this while we gazed out at the ocean and our kid got to sit at our feet and be entertained while playing in the sand. One of the better Sunday brunch time experiences that I have had.

Dishonest Restaurant. Don't be fooled by they specials written on the chalkboard outside of the restaurant... $4 Pinacolada Special. After ordering and she billed me $9.58. Asked the waitress and manager to reimburse the dffference, they did and brought me back a void check... i still get charged for $9.58.<br/><br/>Sorry they are dishonest and beware to double check your bills.

WORST dining Experience ever food and management are awful.. Took my daughters first the first time in honor of my daughters birthday and my other daughter being here for a visit from out of state. I ordered to Calamari appetizer as my meal. It arrived first as a appetizer instead of with the rest of the meals. The calamari tasted awful and was extremely overcooked. The server stopped by and asked how it was, I was honest and told her it was terrible, she insisted on replacing the app. After the reset of the meal was delivered another server came to the table and said she had an issue with replacing the meal because I had eaten half, I explained I did not send the meal back the server insisted on replacing, she said she would see what she could do and would be back. The meal ended and the bill came, much to my surprise my calamari had not been replaced and was still on the bill. When I questioned the server she went for a Manager. This time a new very nasty manager appeared to tell me he would not remove from my bill nor replace and accused that I had eaten it all. Customer service is of no concern to this establishment. What poor service to take away my meal and not credit my bill even partly.

Had lunch...fish taco and husband had a patty melt.The fish taco wasn't at all a fish taco it was a soft taco with fish instead of beef,that is not a fish taco at all but it was ok not something I would order again,plus they are way over priced..vacation at Vero beach florida stick with chain restaurants you know,because these peaple around here do not know how to cook....

I love going here for breakfast. Their pancakes are to die for, and I am always pleased with getting the simple eggs/sausage/home fries as well. Great way to start the day thanks to the beautiful view. I haven't gone for dinner in years, but speaking for breakfast I would definitely recommend it.

Over priced bar food. View is nice drink specials are good, $4.00 pins colada was Tuesday night. Coffee in the morning was the worst I had, couldn't even let the waitress refill my coffee mug because it was so bad. This is a hit or miss place.

Tried to pull a fast one!. Ordered the lobster sandwich and to my surprise I get what looks like rock shrimp or crayfish meat on the sandwich so we ask the manager what it is and he tells me it's langostino lobster...well langostino in not a lobster but a close relative to a hermit crab....needless to say I will be reporting them and never coming back....Great Margarita BTW!

Burgers and Flip Flops. If you looking for cold beer and burgers with an assortment other pub food, This is a good stop, located in the Holiday Inn on the beach. Locals show up every day. Great happy hour with a Tiki bar flare.

Okay... But I don't plan to return (ever). I thought our server was great. The food was reasonably priced and my elderly and I thought it tasted good too.<br/><br/>What left me with a bad taste in my mouth was a $2.50 charge for my parents (age 84 & 94) sharing an over sized sandwich. I was hopeful that this restaurant would appreciate our business since it was mid week, after the prime lunch hour and before the tourist season really kicked in. There was no crowd to speak of and since I was born and raised in Vero Beach, I try to support local restaurants. It was apparent to me that the management felt our business wasn't worth their effort to wash one extra dish. <br/><br/>There are other good, local restaurants nearby and I plan to visit those businesses in the future. Bobbys, The Lemon Tree, Citrus Grille, Riverside Cafe and Ocean Grill are all good options. Based on my experience today, I do not plan to (ever) return to Mulligans (any of them).

Overweight, unattractive hostesses were rude and ignorant towards my boyfriend and I, snickered at me with an attitude when I asked to put my name in for a table. Souvenirs are everywhere. Food was so lousy and such a rip-off. Jerked wings were basically fried plain wings that had some sort of extremely salty strange seasoning blend shaked onto them after being tossed in pure butter/grease. Server was very pleasant but we were rushed throughout our whole meal by him which was rude. Don't bother going to this place, ULTIMATE TOURIST TRAP.

Best Resturant On Earth. This is by far the greatest restaurant on the planet. Everything about this restaurant is perfect. Atmosphere is beautiful; the ocean view, the ocean theme, it's not too loud or crowded. The service is excellent and quick. But the best part about this restaurant is definitely the food. Not a single item on the menu disappoints. Every single trip to this restaurant always leaves me very satisfied. Mr. Mulligan knows how to make a perfect restaurant. If Mulligan's were to be described in one word, that word would be "perfection" 15/10
