Excellent food and service. If your in a hurry to eat , not a place to go. Each meal is cooked to order no quick food. Little pricey but well worth it. Best seafood I've had to date. There is a lot of great seafood places. From Texas to Mississippi I've tried. This is my favorite. Remember if your in a hurry to eat this is not a place to go. Great meals can't be rushed.

Food was great. Has the grilled blackened fish with asparagus and it was fantastic. Asparagus was perfection in itself. Awesome waitress. We got there a little before 2 and wasn’t sure if they would serve us. To my surprise there was a line waiting to be seated and they didn’t turn anyone away until it was 2:00.
Would recommend this place to anyone in the Jackson/ Vicksburg area. It’s woerh the drive from Jackson to Vicksburg
This is one of my favorites and have been here many times over the years. We have never had bad food or bad service here. My favorite thing here is the Blackened Redfish with Crawfish Cream Sauce, but everything I've had here is great. This place gets busy very quickly. I highly recommend getting here early for both lunch and dinner if you don't want to wait for a table and they don't take reservations.

Awesome place to eat!! We had 12 in our group, everyone ordered something different and all loved their food. The portions were big and very tasty!! All the staff were very friendly. I highly recommend!! 5 stars
We started out with several appetizers- fried green tomatoes, gumbo, spinach dip and fried crawfish tails. All of the appetizers were delicious, but the fried green tomatoes were my favorite. My husband had the captains platter and loved it. I really enjoyed the tuna steak and blackened shrimp. We really wanted to try the desserts because they looked incredible, but we were too full. If I lived in Vicksburg I would be a regular for sure!!
Rusty’s is one of my favorite places to eat. Been going for years and only had one meal that I didn’t enjoy. It was solely because too much salt was used by the chef. I keep coming back because the food is wonderful and it’s nice to get away from the tricounty area.
Went on a BUSY Saturday night. It’s a little pricey, but our food was excellent! The Mozeralla Cheese sticks, Shrimp Tacos, & Mississippi Mud Brownie were to die for! Our waitress was nice. 10 out of 10 for me.
The atmosphere is great...The Gumbo, probably the best I’ve ever had!! The fried green tomatoes with lump crab and hollandaise sauce..OMG!!! I travel for work and eat all over this country...I have requested to get any trips any where near Vicksburg!!! I’d drive a little bit just to eat here!!!

My friend Cary and I went last night. The food and service was excellent even for a packed Saturday night!! My favorite appetizer is the crab cakes and they didn't disappoint!!
I was spending time in town to take pictures at the battlefield. I had heard about Rusty’s but had never gone until last night. The food and the service could not have been better. Blackened grouper with cheese grits as the side. Martini beforehand and glass of wine with dinner. Ballgame on the TV. Families all around having dinner. If I lived in Vicksburg I would hang out there twice a week easy.
Atmosphere was great, and food was AWESOME! The blackened redfish was spectacular and the grilled asperagus was to die for!
The blackened shrimp and blackened grouper were excellent. I would highly recommend them to everyone.
They were amazing. We walked in with not so high hopes because it was packed and we figured we would be waiting an hour due to the line ahead, but was only 15 mins wait time max. We were sat and greeted by the bar tender because we sat in her area and she made a MAGNIFICENT bloody Mary for me. The food prices were intimidating but I promise you they are worth EVERY penny. We ordered the wasabi tuna and Hawaiian chicken for main and spinach artichoke dip, crab cakes and broiled oysters for appetizers. Every single bit of this food was beyond our expectations and perfectly cooked. Too bad there aren't more stars to give.
Food, Service and drinks were good. The blackened redfish was great but a little over cooked. Quality of the food was above par. The absolute best thing we had was the fried green tomatoes topped with lump crab meat and cream sauce. I would go back just to have them again.
I don’t go to Rusty’s often but decided to give it another try. In my previous visits my issues were (1) you have to wait for a table because it’s so busy, (2) the food is expensive for the quality, and most important (3) the tables are packed too close together so you can’t hear anyone speak without shouting.
Rusty’s is still very busy and parking may be a challenge. We arrived at 5:30 on a Sat and the place was already full. When we left there was a long wait. There is no other restaurant in Vicksburg I know of regularly this busy. It isn’t busy because of the view, nor is it a fine dining experience with white linens. The atmosphere leaves something to be desired. It is loud and difficult to hold a conversation. It would not be a good spot to take a date, however by the looks of it plenty of pretty people like going there.
There are several options for appetizers but most are fried. Usually I’d order the spinach&artichoke dip which is good but the chips could be improved. This time we tried the gumbo which was outstanding—the best gumbo I’ve had in ages. It was a dark roux full of rice, seafood and sausage. My only complaint was it was a little salty and the oyster was too tough to chew.
Rusty’s has a LOT of seafood choices, probably the most in town. Grouper is always on the menu but that night they also had shrimp, flounder, mahi, and red snapper. Since I wanted something stuffed, I chose the stuffed grouper and my partner choice the stuffed soft shell crab. Both came with warm rolls plus hushpuppies. Both of us picked creamed spinach for our side which was cheesy deliciousness. The side salad was nice and larger than expected. The stuffed grouper was very good if not a little overdone and tough on the edges. The soft shell crab also was good but overly salty.
The meal came to almost $100 without liquor or dessert for 2 people including tip. It was the best tasting meal we have ever had at Rusty’s but the atmosphere just isn’t up to par with the cost. It simply isn’t the experience you get from, say Anchuca or Cedar Grove. But it’s the food quality and choices that count and on that score I’ll be back.
My wife and I ordered the Special of the day, which was fried catfish and one side item. The catfish was the best we have ever eaten! Fresh and fried to perfection...we decided to share a slice of coconut cream pie with coffee...not much taste and too much whip cream...but not bad. The service was great.

This place is great to eat at. The food is awesome. Sat night they had live music. Seafood, fried avocado was divine. I would recommend this restaurant by far! Brick roads. Atmosphere is great.
Yellowfin Tuna. AWESOME!! The drinks are great. All of the food we had was worth eating again. Really like their salads. It was a romantic dinner for two at the bar. Great service.
I was very impressed with the food, atmosphere and service. Make sure you get there early because it was extremely busy when we were leaving.
