My family traveled to Victoria to see a friend . We were craving a good chicken fried steak and this place had good reviews. My steak was not hot when I got it. My family's was. So maybe I got the first one out. Then again mine was the only one that did not have gravy on it. My fries were cold. Theirs were not. I guess it was not my day. My husband got a burger and enjoyed it.
Overall experience for my family was good.

I was greeted promptly once I entered the establishment. It was clean and was fairly busy. Had a nice pleasing aroma of grilled ground beef inside and outside. Made my mouth water to anticipating that Double J doublemeat double cheeseburger! Mmm was tasting good already.! Service was good and our meals were brought to us quickly. Just as I remembered some years back. That grilled meat just melted deliciousness on my palette. Very reasonable pricing here. I love the rustic hunter's lodge look. It has always been my favorite decor. I also enjoy the ol country music that plays at a peaceful level that makes you get up and dance. Over all....I'll be back many times. Thanks Double J.

Seeing photos of dishes on Styrofoam plates I was a little hesitant. However after all the good vibes I had to check it out. Well, it was absolutely incredible! I went with the award winning Chicken Fried Steak. The mashed potatoes were very good and so was the jalapeno ranch dressing. Next visit I look forward to trying the Grilled Pork Chops.
Superior customer service. Restaurant was super clean as well. You don't visit many places that hand batter and fry steak and chicken fingers! Sweet potato fries were awesome as well.
Ate here the other day and they have the best chicken fried steak ever. That’s not just my opinion they have been voted the best chicken fried steak for like five years in a row. You get chicken fried steak and 1 side and a big salad and Texas toast was enough to feel me up and I left happy. I will definitely eat here again next time I’m in town.
I got sweet potato fries to be honest 6.00for 11 fries is a little much and the were not out of fryer hot on the up side mushrooms were spot on
Chicken fried steak was a good example of fresh Texas home-cooked chicken fried steak. Portions were good and priced reasonable. Atmosphere is that of a country dine-in restaurant.
The food here is always good especially the chicken fried pork tenderloin it's really good and tender
I was told that this was the best Chicken Fried Steak in Victoria, TX and it was. Will be back for the burgers

Lunch break on our drive back to Dallas from Rockport. Very busy place at lunchtime on a Saturday, bit of a wait for our food. Enjoyed the chicken fried chicken platter, very affordably priced.
Great hamburger and fries! Awesome waitresses. CFS is great, too! Best CFS in town!

I was pleasantly surprised about the flavor of the chicken fried steak plate,could use a little more gravy on the steak and a bigger scoop of potatoes, but overall good experience including decor!!!
