We ended up at the Skillet Restaurant in a very happenstance way, nice surprise, had a down home country breakfast! Way better than The Cracker Barrel and cheaper, in our party of 3's opinion! Just sayin' .
Really good home cooked food. Staff was very nice and prompt. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the place is dated, worn and unattractive. I would recommend to others if they can get past the appearance!

Good breakfast. Lunch Ok
We ordered the Pancake 2 Step breakfast with grits and the lunch CFS. Breakfast plate was good with large pancakes. CFS was a pre-breaded patty and restaurant supply gravy mix. Bland. Stick with the breakfast menu. The grits were good IMO, had a Malt-O-Meal consistency which I like. Reminded me of eating the hot breakfast cereal when I was a kid.
Great service, very attentive waitress. The bathrooms were clean, but one of them (out of two) was out of order.
We had breakfast and it was all good. Bacon eggs pancakes were great! Bathroom needs a little TLC. It's an old style cafe for sure.

Their food is always good and not at bad prices either. I love their coffee and their waitresses always are good to us. Their hours are 7 am to 2 PM though.
Our second visit there and we will go back. You can get breakfast anytime. The prices are reasonable. The waitreses helpful and friendly. The food each time was very good.
chicken strip with grave and fries cheese was great. Waiter can be slow, for example, During waiting, I start to turn on my white Gameboy Advance SP and then I about to playing Game Boy Advance version of Donkey Country 1 with while wait for chicken strip or fries cheese ready when I was 13 year old during summer of 2007 ago. June 7, 2014 later, I glad that my mother take me out to eat here during after I graduated! Maybe my mother should take us out to eat here again sometimes.
Great place lovely atmosphere the waitresses and the owner are very kind of polite I love it I've been going to this place for years I even used to work there when I was young.

Very nice relaxed place to get breakfast or steak . Depending on what time a day it is . Lunch or breakfast even hamburgers are available at this establishment. Best I ever had . Nice wiat staff Very polite.

I don't visit much, but when I am in town I try to always visit Skillets. The cook knows her way around the kitchen, food was fantastic, and the wait staff is awesome.
You don't need fancy fixings when the food is this good. Sunday breakfast special, chicken fried steak, eggs, hashbrowns and gravy. Perfect.
It was great. Food is good eats staff is AWSOME. Any time you are in the area that's the place to take care of the "hungries"
Love there food and always asking us if we need any thank drinks are coffee tea or something grade service we love going to Skillet for so many years

Pretty awesome breakfasts, only thing I have had there. Couple times now. And their bacon is not that see-through bacon.
