This place seems to have a variety of Asian food including Thai, Chinese, Japanese which usually means it’s not gonna be good but this place is actually pretty descent. Service was good, they put our sushi on a boat for us which we requested. Everything I got was descent but nothing super amazing, I would say it’s average for good tasting food. The volcano roll might have been mediocre. Overall positive review
Fantastic sushi in the heart of Vienna, VA! Sweet Ginger might be smaller than other sushi restaurants in the area, but the flavors are big! Whenever I visit, I order a couple of specialty sushi rolls to split with my table and I always leave feeling happy and full (but not too full). The service is always friendly and the atmosphere is nice—not too fancy, but not too casual either.

I have dined here three times now, and all my visits were phenomenal. They are very good at accommodating big groups. Highly recommended!
Pretty good sushi~ clean and service is super courteous and efficient… I love how low key this place is. I had a sushi platter w duck wrap~ the duck wrap was amazing… I wish there were more.
I was working in Vienna the other day and I checked on the local sushi restaurants and this one popped up on Google maps as highly rated.
The service and the food was excellent, I will going back to try a few more items.

It came with a salad and miso soup which were also good.
There are always so many choices it is hard to decide.

Such a cute sushi spot. This is definitely one of my gems💎 I was so happy I stumbled upon this place years ago. The place feels like home, I've been coming for a while and each time they hit the spot! Never had any issues. Such sweet servers/ employees and the food is exceptionally great!! I've taken my family, friends, and even set up dates here. Everyone comes back to try more since it's sooooo good!! Sushi is 10/10 every visit, the Thai tea is AMAZING (and a must) & so is the rest of the menu items. Definitely need to check this place out ! 😁
This by far is my favorite sushi place in the DMV. Their quality has always been the same and you can count on them to be consistent.
The service here is good. They are attentive and keep your drinks filled.
The sushi here is really good. I came here with a few friends and we ordered a bunch of sushi. We started off with a Miso soup and salad for each person. For the sushi, we started with with toro sashimi and salmon sushi. The toro was perfect!
The interior seating is spacious. The booths fit 4 people while their tables fit more.
We then moved on to the boat where we ordered the volcano roll, wasabi cream roll, omega roll, eel avocado, spicy toro roll, mexican roll, and more.
I recommend their spicy mayo on the side and fresh wasabi. With these two items people tend to forget, it makes the experience even better.
I highly recommend these folks if you’re in the mood for sushi.
Acceptable if you are in the area and looking for sushi. But there are better choices around here, especially if you are willing to drive closer to DC. Portions were decent and food arrived quickly. Not bad overall, but the taste just isn’t amongst the best. My SO and I won’t return, but worth a try if you are hungry. 3.5 stars.

After some connecting flights and hours of flying and a great Lyft ride, I finally made it to my friends in Vienna. We definitely worked up an appetite after all the traveling, so we took a little drive to one of the nearby plazas after looking on Yelp for sushi restaurants in the area.
The lunch crowd was winding down and we were quickly seated and served. All the servers were following mask protocols, and there was a steady stream of patrons coming by for pickup and takeout orders.
We ordered a California roll, shrimp tempura roll, JB Roll and a Philly roll. To round out the selections, we ordered their specialty duck roll, which don't be fooled, it was not a sushi roll. Instead, it was deliciously roasted duck with vegetables and herbs, held in a thicker wrap than an egg roll. It was incredible. The sushi came out quickly and was also good, but I was blown away by the oversized and artistic JB Roll, as well as the smoky salmon in the Philly roll. The textures and flavors of both were outstanding.
Just to ensure the entrees were up to par with the sushi, we ordered the chicken red Thai curry with basil, which came with a side of slaw and white rice. The curry was perfectly spiced, just enough to open your pores, but not so much that you were reaching for your drinks.
We really enjoyed the food, the service and the decor. I highly recommend them, and will definitely be back when I'm in the area.
