I tried the chicken and slaw here and let me tell you, it has an amazing “juciosity” and memorable seasoning. I also had some of the best service in my life from Gygy; she has such amazing warm hospitality. I’ll most definitely be back to try the brisket and to spend some more time here. Thank you, Gygy, and your crew!
Great good! We ordered the sliced brisket, cowboy sandwich, and mac & cheese for the kid. Very tasty, definitely one of the best bbq places in the DMV Area!!!! As the side, we ordered fries, which was surprisingly yummy 😃😃👍👍
All menu are halal, no more pork menu.
Great food and great staff. We got the Z Man and the chicken with waffle fries and potato salad and they were delicious. They sell also by pound which is great. I didn't see the whole menu so I post it. Everything on the menu is halal and the meat is wood smoked.
This bbq is really good. There was no way to order by calling which was a bit frustrating but nevertheless the bbq did not disappoint. Them burnt ends get the job done. I mean they pack quite the punch. I feel like the cookie could have been better but everything else was good enough to compensate. Parking is scarce and navigating curbside is a bit off putting.
Great flavor every time I go here. Got the burnt ends plate, Alabama white smoked wings and the loaded potato. Also got chicken chili and onion rings as sides. The flavors and quality of the food easily justify its price
We were craving district BBQ, so decided to stop by for lunch. I didn't know they started selling Peruvian style chicken and halal meat now. Tried them out and it was surprisingly good.
Meat was so tender and juicy. I love the rice, it reminds of my family fried rice. The whole combo was so cheap tooo- 5.99. Will come back for more!
* didn't realize they have waffle fries now, def will get next time

District Barbecue in my opinion is a well thought out no frills operation from food to floor plan to furnishings. Flavorful menu items are skillfully prepared using high quality ingredients at reasonable prices. They have a selection of in-house barbecue sauces ranging from mild to spicy. One is a vinegar sauce.
DB has 2 entrances/exits and a spacious open floor plan that has good flow. Orders are taken at the cash register in the far front corner of the restaurant and pickup at the end of the counter when your order is up. You pay when you place your order.
No table service and bus your own table when finished. DB does not offer beer but my recollection is that you can byo if you like. They have bottle sodas and a self service soda dispenser dispensing Coca Cola products - Coke, Sprite. etc.
I like DB management choice of ultra light weight aluminum chairs at heavy solid wood benches that appear to be about 10 feet long. There are a handful of small tables seating for 4. Bench seating has heavy vertical paper towel dispensers that scroll paper towels smoothly because of the dispensers weight.
Generally I order chopped pork barbecue sandwich along with a couple sides. Generous portion of smokey chopped pork having just the right amount of fat for optimum flavor and making the meat perfectly juicy served on an egg bun.
I like one of the sides to be classic baked beans which DB does not offer. They have a combination red and light red kidney bean side instead. That is a minor personal taste issue for me. There are other classic side options like coleslaw and potato salad.
Very good! But I felt the components of the sandwich (Texas toast, brisket, and onion rings) were best eaten separate. They mush together. Also, listening to loud Mexican music? What?
Casual BBQ food.
Very good prices. Food it’s good. Portions are big. Big space and chill atmosphere!
It’s easy to order and you will get your food quickly... I recommend this place.
Absolutely loved the Brisket Burger! The meat was perfectly flavored, juicy and tender. Best of all, their entire menu is now Halal!
Really good quality meats. Burnt ends were my favourite. Great selection of sauces. Really tasty beans and mac n cheese. Service was great, fantastic value. Highly recommend a visit here.
My first encounter with District BBQ. I called from my car, and not having a menu, and never having visited before, I only knew what I wanted to try, not the form in which they were served. I think the guy who helped me was Rony. He was very nice, and patient with me. I knew I wanted to try the burnt ends and the ribs.
The Ends are served by the half and whole pound, and in a sandwich, and the ribs by the half and whole rack. I ordered half of each and dug around for my credit card. Luckily traffic on 66 came to a stop for construction, and I was able to convey my information without endangering any other drivers.
Rony told me my order would be ready for pick up in about 7 minutes. I told him I was in traffic and I would be there in about 15 minutes, and asked if they offer curbside delivery; they do. After short description of my car, I let him off the phone to prepare my order.
I arrived about 17 minutes later, and because I hadn't been there before, and the traffic in front of the store was heavy with cars, buses, and construction, I found my way to the back, and again called. Rony was there, ready with my order in no time. He emerged sporting the latest style of face mask and gloves, and I opened my car's passenger window. He quickly slipped the bag of goodies onto my passenger seat, thanked me for my patronage, and off he went.
I went home and started with the ends. They were served in a styrofoam cup and were still warm. Already seasoned and sauced, and a good mix of meaty and meaty with fat, but not too much fat, and all of them quite tender. They're everything I was hoping they'd be, and before I realized it, they were gone.
On to the ribs. The ½ rack of ribs was served in a rectangular Styrofoam container, in which they just fit in a single layer. Rony also included 3- 1 ounce containers of tangy, peppery BBQ sauce, that has a slight kick, I like it. I’m only going to eat one rib for now, having eaten all of the ends I am approaching my limit, and will reheat the rest later. Very nice. Tender and not over cooked, I’d venture to estimate a medium rare on a cooking scale. It pared quite nicely with the sauce I was provided. Of course everyone has their own taste and tolerance for heat and sweet, and as I prefer a more mild sauce, this was perfect for me.
This was a tasty, indulgent lunch, and I look forward to having the rest of the ribs for tomorrow’s lunch.
Some of the best smoked meats in the area. The sides need a little work but not bad at all. We have really come to enjoy this place for a full feast or grabbing one of their sandwiches.
