Excellent! Every time! Great selections. Italian subs are amazing and the best around. I recently purchased their lobster ravioli and Alfredo sauce. It was perfect / see pic below. I added my personal touches to recipe. They’ll save you an amazing amount of time to start with some of their pasta and sauces.

Great sandwich. It was hefty and all the ingredients were well balanced. The sweet and hot peppers were fantastic and the bread was fresh and soft

We recently got catering for a 125 person event. The sandwiches were good. The cookie trays were great! And we appreciated the containers of condiments on the side so people could dress their own sandwiches. Was exactly what we wanted. Catering can be so overcomplicated and expensive, but not at Italian Gourmet. Was exactly what we were looking for!

Love this place. Great takeout. Best eggplant parmesan I've ever had! The owner is really nice. Cannot say enough about the eggplant. Only place I ever eat it.

Great little Italian shop in Vienna. The staff have good moods and so-so, just like everybody, but usually very personable. I drive around 20 miles on a regular basis to stock up on their frozen foods. All of their frozen are as good as you will get in a top Italian restaurant. My favs are Cheese ravioli, chicken/veal marsala, veggie lasagna, and sweet sausage sauce.

The Parma Sub tastes exactly like an authentic Hoagie from Philadelphia. Also, the Cannolis are sinfully good. There is a table outside on the sidewalk if the weather is nice and you want to eat there, but people usually just pick up their food and eat it somewhere else.

Been coming here for a long time and I would rate this place 1000 stars if I could. Awesome subs, great selection of homemade dishes, great products and gives off a neighborhood vibe. Also they are very friendly and always welcoming! I’ll always be back here and hope they stay around forever.

I have been an on-and-off Italian Gourmet customer for more than a couple decades. Lately I am on. It is a sandwich stop for me on days when my schedule is tight. In my opinion IG sandwiches are made using high quality meat and bread, are carefully crafted and packaged. The only criticism I have, which is a personal preference item, is that IG uses shredded iceberg lettuce when ordering lettuce as sandwich component. I prefer leaf iceberg lettuce for sandwiches. To my taste iceberg is my choice because it is cool, crunchy and fairly bland (has high water content) and does not interfere with the enjoyment of the other components - bread, meat, tomato and mustard (another personal preference, from dijon to French’s Classic Yellow Mustard). I know, iceberg isn’t sexy like romaine, bibb, little gem, spinach and trendy kale. For me those are all salad lettuces. So I order lettuce and tomato ingredients on the side at IG because having it on top of the meat between the bread shredded lettuce and tomato can be a messy affair eating for me. Generally I grab a bag of chips and get a Dr Brown’s soda. I like that IG stocks Dr. Brown‘s product. A couple days ago I happened to ask for a serving of potato salad which it turns out IG makes on the premises and delighted to find it was so good. I think the menus price points are fine and match the quality. One of my life aphorisms is good things aren’t cheap and cheap things aren’t good. If you are in the market for a less costly sandwich WAWA is easy to reach across the street.

5 star for quality and quantity of meats, cheese, vegetables and dressing. I ordered the Pompeii sub and Chipotle chicken panini. 1 star for the bread on the Pompeii. I'm surprised no one else commented on it. It gets very soggy and literally melts from the dressing and it doesn't have much flavor. None the less I inhaled it before I could take any pictures.

I really enjoyed the Pompeii sandwich! The hot peppers on the sandwich were surprisingly hot which was great! The prices were reasonable for a quality sandwich and the employees were very nice. I’ll definitely come back again and try their other sandwiches.

I’d give them 5 stars just for having guanciale. For such a small space, it’s amazing how many great Italian products they have that are difficult to find elsewhere.

I am originally born in Virginia. I miss so much the Roman…marinated artichokes and mushrooms as well . I have lived here in Georgia since 2001…memories of the smell walking into the place. Miss that atmosphere…I am a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and I am still trying to get that flavor in my sandwich. I am close but, will hopefully get that flavor I miss well soon ….😀

Best sandwiches EVER. Have been coming here for decades, whenever I'm in the area. The staff is super friendly. It's really enjoyable to browse the aisles while waiting for your sandwich to be made. Writing this has made me super hungry for one of their sandwiches, I wish I could go get one today 🤤 Can get it with a bag of kettle chips and a can of flavoured San Pellegrino, or just the sandwich by itself. I have also gotten some homemade pasta from the fridge section to cook at home, it was also delicious.

Local go to for great service, friendly faces, and good food. Today we went in to pickup some ready made frozen meals, but we usually go for the sandwiches.

We happened to be in the Fairfax/Vienna area for the day. Nice deli counter and dry goods selections. A variety of prepared frozen meals. We bought a few frozen items. We are looking forward to trying them. Pinole Cookies were very expensive. $36 for 12. This was more than double the cost of the Jersey deli/bakeries.

I go here pretty often for the sandwiches. They also have some really good frozen lasagna that I always keep stocked in my freezer. Even though it’s frozen, it’s way better than any lasagna you will get at a restaurant.

This is a "happy" store. Tiny location has become my new go-to place since the untimely closing of Cenan's down the road. Tightly packed racks with narrow aisle space, contain a most interesting and diverse culinary offerings. Their menu boards are hung from the ceiling, and one can quickly differentiate between the regulars and casual customers, as the former just march in, and gentleman behind the counter asks, "Your usual?" and the customer nods, and hands the exact change. The rest of us have our necks craned with furrowed brow trying to sort through too many excellent choices (and yes, of my times going there over several years, I have been pleased with everything I've ordered). They even have their own packed spaghetti sauce in glass jars. They are right to be proud of what they have achieved, and we are fortunate they have chosen to provide their excellent service in our community. Again, I am pleased they have survived the Pandemic. May they live long and prosper.

Small local shop yet with a very large selection of almost any and all Italian things including cookies, ingredients, wine, and fresh, frozen, and packaged Italian food. The sandwiches are very flavorful and delicious served up only using the freshest, quality ingredients! The staff are very friendly and service is quick. Definitely going back for another sandwich and try out their frozen food and ingredients/wine.
