Best bread in Northern Virginia! Worth the drive, they bake several times each week. Several sizes and quantities. Our family only eats this bread!

I have been looking for places with dessert windows and was pleasantly surprised to find that here. We came for shawarma and left with appetizers and dessert as well. They’ve added a very nice looking eat in counter area in the back. They don’t seem accustomed to people that aren’t from their culture. Don’t hesitate to ask, they are super friendly explaining what’s in everything.

Authentic Lebanese food. The Zaatar Extra was crazy good. I'll be back to try the Sharma. Staff was so friendly, I felt so welcome.

So we came here because I was craving Fatayer (savory baked pastries). I remember going to a place, but I just can’t remember where it was. Anyway, I remember this bakery, so I thought of coming here. The man behind the cashier gave us an unwelcoming first impression. We kept being friendly and I think they dragged him into being nice. We ordered a few Fatayers and got some stuff from the market. It’s not cheap keep that in mind. As for the food we ordered (which took ages to prepare), I ordered the zaater labna Fatayer but I only got zaater. I had already gone to the car by the time I found out, so I didn’t want to go back and complain. It tasted good. Hubby has the meat pie. It was not an authentic Lebanese taste, but still okay. My son has the pizza (don’t order pizza)! The sauce is actually ketchup. No effort into it and not worth the money. The hummus was okay and so was the Kibbeh. The Tabouli could be better. It was not chopped finely and didn’t have bulgur which is a must in Tabouli. We might come back unless I find the hidden gem I’ve been searching for.

This is one of the best mediterranean bakeries, their za'atar or cheese manageesh is the best! They have many good quality stuff like spices, olives, food cans, dried food and other products with great quality! The owner/manager she is veru sweet and generous (you can see yhe picture of the Baklava was just she gave it to me for free). Ckean, organized! I would highly recommend! If you are looking for some middle eastern products or you want to have good mana'eesh go to Wooden Bakery! ❤

They have this fire oven where they bake the best Lebanese cheese, zaatar, and lahm bajin (ground beef) manakish. The shop also offers a collection of middle eastern products that we only found in their shop. The space is small to sit and eat so we had our food while standing. The employees are polite, but the place can use some touch ups here and there.

Dropping by Al Nakheel Market yesterday morning, Wednesday, April 27, 2022 to pick up a few things discovering it permanently closed I came to Wooden Bakery finding a wide variety Mediterranean groceries and brands in a funky warehouse style space. I bought pita bread, spicy hummus, ghee, baby cornichons and pitted dates . I believe prices are reasonable although, as is the case in my experience shopping at ethnic markets, many goods do not have price labels on them nor prices posted on display shelfs finding out the price when groceries are rung up. Delighted that WB has Apple Pay.

Great little bakery and boutique grocery store. Entrance and signage is a little confusing but it looked like that was being sorted. Definitely worth a visit if this is your type of place.
