We went for our wedding anniversary. Samantha B was very attentive and provided excellent service. I wanted wood fired oven pizza, but they do not serve pizza on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during off season. They also open at 5p. They do take reservations and there is no dress code. They also have valet parking on site. The chicken parmasan and the lasagna were excellent. They had quite a variety of specials. We definitely plan to return.

I went here for my birthday! Great food and great service! The salmon was delicious. They have the best chocolate cake in the area. The atmosphere is nice but it is a little loud so it is hard sometimes to have a conversation. They also have someone who plays the piano which is nice but sometimes too loud. One of my favorite restaurants for Italian food.

Visited with my family to round out our day at the beach. The food was tasty, though the service was less than exceptional. Most notable was the dessert! Rich, delectable chocolate cake, cheesecake with fruit toppings, and tiramisu… the best part of our meal! I enjoyed the design of the restaurant, with large columns at the entrance of an opulent central seating area, which nod to the traditional beauty of Italy. Priced as expected, we enjoyed our visit, especially the wine list involved much of Italy! The outdoor appearance of this place does the interior no justice! Step inside and see for yourself.

We had our company Christmas dinner here for 16 people. Mary Ann helped me coordinate and secure the reservation, and Tim was our waiter. I can not thank Tim enough! He got all of our orders correct, he was patient with our big, loud group, and was extremely respectful and kind the entire time. The food was great, too! I highly recommend Il Giardino.

Good red sauce. We had no reservation so we were seated in the bar area. Layla was great. Live music on Tuesday was like playing Name That Tune.

Excellent food! They have a great spicy margarita too. This is our favorite Italian spot we’ve tried in Virginia. Always a great sign when a business has been around for a while.

I want to say that I have spent YEARS looking for a traditional sit down Italian restaurant with meals that taste like home. When I say they are now my favorite place, it is not me being dramatic. I have fallen severely in love with this place on one visit. I was beyond and above blown away by the food, service, and atmosphere. My heart has been stolen! Let me get into our love story here: As soon as I came in we gave the car to the valet who was quick and kind. When we came in I was immediately greeted by Dean Martin playing softly through the restaurant while being seated immediately. Walking through I was blown away by how modern and lovely the inside was. Beautiful lights around a lovely tree sat in the middle of the restaurant, some cozy circle shaped booths and open tables. A see through clear wall separates the main dining area from the bar side that looked really trendy! (Almost moved over there, but I'm a booth girl!) It was Easter so I was craving a nice filling Italian meal. We started with the focaccia bread with oil and vinegar. The bread was absolutely delicious, crispy....and the mixture of oil and vinegar with the cheese and garlic makes it just right. My boyfriend ate almost the whole thing (I was taking it slow to save more room for my meal!) I ordered the chicken parm, being half Italian I can tell you...you can NEVER GO WRONG WITH CHICKEN PARM...It just has to be done right...and boy was it done right. The cutlet was thin, but not too thin...with a good coated breading, and the cheese on top...that's when you know...the cheese should be a little "well done"...almost burnt crisp! I'm telling you the cheese has to be that way! They absolutely killed it. Perfectly done..and their homemade sauce with the touch of sweetness and right amount of onion and garlic...I was in heaven. This was heaven for me. Our waiter was lovely, and came over to add parm to our plates or fresh ground pepper (yes, they come to you table to do that and it's so kind. Haven't seen that seen going to little Italy back home in nyc). My boyfriend ordered the chicken francese, and he literally turned to me and went "omg it melts in my mouth"....when I say my boyfriend normally just eats and gives little comments...but that one..he was blown away. I ended the night with a Napoleon. I was pleasantly stuffed but had to have a little dessert...man they just blew me away. Napoleon was crispy, flaky, a little buttery in the best way and those layers of cream?!? Bury me with that stuff. On top of it I had no idea, but we got a special. They were having a buy one get one free entree I had no idea about so it was a LOVELY SURPRISE. This was a perfect Easter dinner, and I am eternally grateful. Thank you again! Like a kiss on the cheek from my Nonna.

We enjoyed our dinner at Il Giardino. We (table of 4) were sat immediately on entry which was nice. It’s not quite as upscale as many people are coming right from the beach. Our waiter, Chad, was very accommodating and helped with our dietary preferences, splitting meals, and even ordering drinks not on the menu. I enjoyed the tortellini della nonna (pictured without peas)

Absolutely great service from our waitress. Original American Italian food and tons of seating. Highly recommend this spot and it’s not a tourist trap 🪤

This is probably the best restaurant experience I have ever had! I am not a naggy picky person to begin with but I’ve never felt so compelled to write a good review! This place is so warm and welcoming. I felt like royalty! The aesthetic was gorgeous and the people absolutely wonderful! I want to give a special shout out to Steve and Marianne for being so sweet! They are kind, so good at their job, and notice every little detail! Loved them and loved this place! Plus the food was top notch!

Recommend reservations, we walked in and were put on wait list decided to make reservations for the following night. Very elegant restaurant, servers all in black but the patrons were dressed casual. Prices were as expected at a fine dining venue. Our server Pierre was attentive but not overbearing. Food was exceptional and came out steaming hot. Our reservations were for 6 and they were not crowded but by 6:30 all the tables were full.

The best cheesecake and all the dishes eaten over the years are always really good. The parking can be a hassle during tourist season. FYI, It's a known crust cheesecake.

Great atmosphere and setting!! Had a group of 20 drop in for a last minute dinner. They prepped the space and was able to accommodate us with ZERO issue!! The food was FANTASTIC and service even better. I highly recommend the fried mozzarella, calamari and the Veal with mushrooms and added pasta. There was NOT a thing on the menu

Perfection on everything, honestly. I've been to Italy, and this feel brought me back. Seriously perfect I got the vodka pasta with added chicken and my hubby got the chicken parm.

My parents have been coming here lately and I went with them for the first time last night. Chad was our server and he was super nice. One of my parents might be a little annoying sometimes and he still treated them with the utmost respect and remained not only kind but seemed caring too. The food was AMAZING! Live music in the background. The manager was also really nice and made sure we got the service we wanted! I love this place! Thank you guys!
