Since we moved, Sunrise has been a staple in our household. Food is on point as is the service. Great presentation and value . The staff is so kind to our children and greet us like family each week. We have never had a bad meal. If your hungry and want to be cheered up , stop in.

The Home fries are especially good!
Food, service , atmosphere always awesome. WE go to see and visit the fantastic wait staff and enjoy the amazing food. Brunch in VA Beach isn't brunch without Sunrise.
Ate the very best pastromi ever! Love the friendly and courteous staff and the delicious home-style food. Huge portions, but that just means more for later :)
Whenever our extended family returns to visit from New Orleans, Sunrise Cafe is the first place they want to go! Today was a perfect example of great food and service. Della (not Stella ) greeted our sleepy pre-teen and the adults with her usual cheerful self and insured that our visit would be like sitting at mom's table. Even when I noticed that there was a computer malfunction, she merely took it in stride and made sure our meals were delivered promptly and hot.
Thanks to Della and the stellar staff at Sunrise Cafe and the great food (prepared exactly to order), our day and their visit have started off perfectly.

1st time at Sunrise for late breakfast and the service was super friendly. Our server was such a NICE PERSON! Delicious pancake with my traditional scrambled egg & cheddar breakfast. The pineapple just was good & cold. The Waffle with Sunnyside eggs was also good! Nice diner eating!
Very good breakfast, I had the grilled chicken omelet with pancakes. The chicken was a bit tough. Diane was superb, very attentive, and so polite. I am looking forward to my next visit.
MASSIVE portions! The waitresses are wonderful and super sweet. Your water and coffee will never run dry.
Seems like this is a place where you can get breakfast anytime. So many options and pretty tasty food.
Service was outstanding. If you want a nice home breakfast, this is the place to go in. The setting is small with 2 sides to the restaurant. Large booths for our party of 3. The food was great. This is now a place on the family breakfast spots.
This is a favorite breakfast spot for my Dad. He and I decided to have lunch there and I was surprised at how many items were on the menu.
I ate light with a BLT. Dad got the 1/2 pound burger. Both meals were delicious and our server was the best.
I will definitely be returning.
Our family of four came for brunch and we really enjoyed our visit. The parking was easy. They greeted us kindly at the door. We order sweet potato pancakes and an omelet with sausage. Our food was delivered very quickly and was very yummy - no complaints. The staff we friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. We'll be back.

This was a ways from home. Wanted to try some place new. This is off of Great Neck Rd just a little past Mill Dam Rd. We’d gotten seat quickly. Didn’t have to wait that long. My dad gets the same thing all the time with a breakfast: sausage, eggs and grits. I’d wanted to try the biscuits and gravy because it looked good at the other table. I don’t know how much these breakfasts are taste any different than each other. I mean, it’s just breakfast. The further you drive from home, the more money you pay. It wasn’t too bad. Food came out pretty quickly.
Brought the family for a late late breakfast, the staff, food & environment are all great. It's a nice place to sit back relax & enjoy a great meal. Good prices for a great portion of good food. Thanks to everyone at the restaurant for a great experience.
Immediately met by a hostess seated very quickly was was very surprised how fast the food got to the table and it was perfect. Is very large portions. I would recommend this to anyone in the area visiting or if you just want to go out for a great breakfast it was excellent
It was our second time here. Prior to going in. They must of saw me, my wife and my son outside getting ready to come in. Once we came in they had set up a table with a high chair ready for us to sit. Thats awareness and attention to detail. Little things like that I applaud. Great customer service.

Good place for breakfast. Quick and friendly service. Get there early if you don't want to deal with a crowd.
Chance and Diane made my day. I was feeling a little blue when I got there because my vacation is winding down and the two of them cheered me up and checked on me frequently making me smile. Everybody should start their day out with these two.

I was especially surprised to see the menu offers BOTH hash browns and breakfast potatoes! Other places only serve one or the other!

This place is awesome!!!! Great family vibe qnd terrific food and prices are beyond reasonable. The hours are a little difficult but if you're an early raiser you won't have any problems.
