Located in the little shopping center behind the Hooters off General Booth Blvd, Angelo's is the best little kept secret for delicious Italian food of all varieties. Brought my family there after a sports outing Monday evening, 6/12. We had a medium pizza, lasagna, stuffed shells, chicken parmesan, and a stromboli. Everything was truly amazing! And the canoli's for dessert were to die for! The service was excellent and it was especially nice to be treated like family by the chef/owner, Angelo. Most highly recommend this wonderful little place. Definitely returning again and again.

The food is delicious. I think the pizza is the best in Virginia Beach. Calzone was delicious and huge. My salad was very fresh and delicious I love the dressing. Subs are also very good. Never had a bad food or service issue. I highly recommend. Will eat there again and again.

Lighter-than-air homemade bread, pizza made the "old Italian way" meaning from scratch, a delightful young man as a server who constantly refreshed our drinks, and a coupon from Restaurant dot com made us glad my son and I went. We will be back as our pizza was cheesy and ably topped with pepperoni and sausage made it a dining feast! Soft butter packets and perfectly cooked mozzarella sticks topped off our dinner. Do try this place off the beaten path. When we left most of the tables were filled!

This place is a Virginia Beach gem... Angelo makes everything handmade, hand crafted, and uses top-quality ingredients. The sauces are superb, and we all absolutely loved our meals. Highly recommend his specials. The service and food were excellent. If you want amazing Italian food, portions, value, and satisfying all your taste buds, this is the place!

Fabulous amount of food for reasonable price! The service was perfect: very helpful but not pushy and not interrupting. Don't go if you are in a rush as the food is made for you. The aroma of food cooking is just wonderful! Take your time and relax and enjoy the fabulous bread and wine! I was pleasantly surposed by the large number of scallops in my meal (I ate quite a few and then remembered to take photo). My husband said the marina sauce was not bitter and some of the best he has had on his delicious chicken parm.

This place is wonderful. My family decided to go for my sister's birthday. The service was great and the food was delicious. Our server was packing up our leftovers and someone who was there for a pickup order took mine accidentally, (mind you, he didn't ask anyone, he just assumed) We had had such a lovely time and I had eaten 80% of my dinner. They insisted on having me take home a lunch portion. It was very kind.

5 STARS FOR ANGELOS! From the moment we stepped into Angelos Italian Restaurant, we were treated like family! Our server LILLIAN was awesome. She smiled constantly, knew everything about the menu with brilliant suggestions! (LILLIAN...we were the ones from New Hampshire) We started with some very nice house wines The menu is broad and is sure to have your favorites! Our group chose Stromboli, Pescatore, Veal Francese & Chicken Valentino! Table bread was a nice touch... interesting shapes and types. The house side salad was fresh, a very light house Italian dressing and had an interesting presentation! All of the entree meals were EXCELLENT! LARGE PORTIONS AND DELISIOSO!!! ANGELO THE OWNER came out of the kitchen to introduce himself and check on our evening. He is a very nice man and loves his employees & and restaurant! Finishing our meals, we tried several of the dessert offerings...Cannolis, Lemon Cake, Hazel Nut Crunch Cake, and a very special treat... a Neopolitan Style Ice Cream ball with a chocolate coating, sliced into quarters. Inside was the treat... Chocolate, PISTACHIO...did I say PISTACHIO!!! & Strawberry ice cream...smooth, creamy and YUMM! With a mix of out of towners like us and some local regulars, the mood was fun, festive and loud...just like my dinner table growing up! Give ANGELOS a try! You won't be disappointed!!!!

We stopped in with our grandaughter after her dance class and were surprised at how nice it was! Quiet with white tablecloths! Prompt greeting from hostess! Granddaughter order the pizza bites with marinara and loved it! We share spaghetti with meatballs and the meatballs were awesome. My husband ordered baked spaghetti which was not on the menu but accommodated him. Great food, pleasant experience and we will definitely go back!

Angelo's Italian Restaurant is located in the Booth Hill Shopping Center along General Booth Blvd. You can enter where the Wendy's is for visual reference. However, there is no traffic light at this intersection, so it can be a bit hectic to get in or out during peak times of travel. My most recent visit here was on February 15, 2023. I hadn't been back for a while due to the experience I had in my first visit in 2017. Since that time, I have been back to this place several times. Things have definitely changed for the better since my first visit. From the outside, when you come up to the place, it looks like a simple place on the outside. There are a few tables outside for seating as well, but it is pretty limited. It's not hard to see on the outside in the shopping center with the red and green colors. When I came with my mom, it was an off peak time of day, so there wasn't anyone else seated when we came in. They said we could choose any table inside and that a server would be over shortly. As expected, that happened and she asked us what we wanted to drink. I went with water and my mom went with Coke, so they carry Coke products here. The menu has more options than when I first visited in 2017 as well. After she came back with the drinks, she asked if we were ready to order and we were. I had ordered a Stromboli with Pepperoni and my mom ordered a Calzone with Pepperoni. While waiting for our orders to come out, our server brought us some bread and butter. The bread and butter were really good too. The bread was very soft. The butter packets were nearly frozen though, so it did take a bit of thawing of the butters, About 7-10 minutes later, our entrées came out to the table. The only mistake was that they did both as calzones instead of one calzone and one Stromboli. I didn't bring it up since either one would still be good. The calzone was really good too. It was filled with lots of cheese and pepperoni. I ended up taking half of it home to have as a lunch the following day. After we were done, she did bring us a few boxes over and asked if we wanted any desserts. We declined as we were pretty full already and didn't need anything else. Overall, this has been a much better experience than my very first one here. The food and service were on point. They have an expanded menu now compared to 2017, so it's great to have more options too. With great food and service on this visit, I will definitely be back more often now. You should come check them out too if you are in the area.

The food was tasty, especially the pizza, which was reminiscent of the NY pizza that we were accustomed to eating. The choice of music (80s pop) did not seem to fit with the cozy/quaint Italian restaurant scenery. Overall, it was a nice place to eat.

An off the beaten path place. Was packed when we arrived but we were lucky to have a table for two open. I ordered the stuffed salmon with a side of linguine with garlic and oil. They tell you everything is freshly made and it is, you can tell by the aroma of foods while you wait for yours. We were given bread and drinks by Jennifer while awaiting our main course. When it arrived and I tasted it, I was taken aback. It was the best salmon dish I had ever had outside my house. The linguine pasta was spot on. I felt like I was eating in the kitchen of my Italian friend’s mother who lived in Brooklyn, NY. My grandson had a meatball sub. It was huge. He raved about the flavor of the meatballs and said the bread was amazing. Turns out the make their own bread. This place is a hidden gem. We will definitely go back. And the price was an an absolute bargain considering the quality of the food.

Stopped in for dinner. Had the cheese sticks as an appetizer. There was four of us. We ordered Veal Piccata, Stuffed Shells, Spaghetti with meat sauce, and steak sandwich with onions and peppers. Bread served was hot and fresh, food was served hot and fresh. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The steak sandwich was very skimpy on steak and veggies. My husband ordered a side salad with ranch. He said that the salad was amazing! He said the ranch tasted homemade and he loved the fresh grated cheese on it. My daughter in-law ordered the chocolate cake. She and my step son said it was delicious. Server was attentive and pleasant. We will definitely go back.
