Jewish Mother Hilltop - Virginia Beach - Photo album

This place holds much nostalgic meaning to me as a native who moved away and has returned for a visit. The location has changed, but the food is the same. The live venue has definitely expanded and will be on my list for my next visit. The server was correct; the potato salad was especially good tod
This place has been around forever, and for good reason. Food and drinks are good at good prices, but the best reason to go will always be live music events. I've never had a bad time at J-Mom's. Really, can't recommend highly enough.
Came for nostalgia since I used to have lunch at the original when I was stationed near here many years ago. The reincarnated Mother is wonderful. The Reuben is delicious. Service is super attentive, I never had left than half a glass of tea before being offered a refill. Only wish I was going to be
Great place for eating and live music
The staff is great and the food is the same. Never thought of a BBQ Reuben and boy am I glad I took their advice to try it. Knowing the Jewish way to eat potato latkes is a huge plus for me!
My husband and I did Sunday brunch at The Jewish Mother. First off, the food was very high quality and there were a lot of great selections on the menu. I went with the eggs and latkes. Latkes are delicious potato pancakes. They were good, but I left the table hungry and I’m not a big woman... Plus
Food is great. Service is pretty good most times. I have to say that I'm unhappy about J.M. closing it's Granby St. "Backstage" location. Seems like they had the chance to bail for greener pastures and did so. Loyal customers be damned. Once again, more dollars than sense!!!
Back in my happy place at The Jewish Mother. Just ate a plate of latkes, Mother's Son Reuben, and some killer good cake. I used to go to the old beach location when I lived here, but the new location is great, and looks like an amazing concert venue.
Happen to go on buy one sandwich get the other half off! Food was just like back in the day! It was delicious and our server Ronnie was great!
Delicious food at a reasonable price. Many East coast deli specialties, but also burgers and pizza. Fun menu!
The she-crab & matza ball soups were great & potato latkes were well-fried so nice and crispy!
Great food, great pricean great folks. Got to meet the owner, Scotty. Nice fellow. We'll see you soon.
A really great rueben sandwich!
Great Brunch Restaurant we had the best seafood omelette with live piano jazz music
