Food was AMAZING! It’s like a little mom and pop Italian place. Dont let the decor deter you (its not super fancy), the food is probably some of the best Italian food I’ve ever had. Hubby and I got salads, mozzarella sticks, I got a calzone and he got the chicken parm. I’m picky about calzones and salads and theirs was better than any chain I’ve been to (better than ynot). He gives the chicken parm a 7/10. everything microwaves well. Excellent service. For sure going to be a regular customer. Food gets 5 stars, decor is the only reason they didn’t get all 5.
Mona Lisa Pizza is a real favorite of mine. I recently stopped in with a good friend to share a pie. I love the way these guys bring true NY Style Pizza. We got a large with Pepperoni, Shrooms, and GP's. First let me say these pizza's have great cheese, super creamy and lots of strings, it speaks to the quality and the high milk fat. The ingredients are always fresh cut and delicious. The star for me is their crust. Always soft inside with that light crunch and delicious fresh baked aroma. What can I say, this place is a winner when it comes to Pizza. Order here without fear.
This place is without a DOUBT where I have had the best baked ziti of my life. That being said, they have many other options if you are so inclined. The family is local and connected in the va beach community. I remember eating at this restaurant when I was a child and whenever I get back into the neighborhood now. Such an institution in the princess anne plaza community. Love it. They have NY style pizza thin and bendable. They also have great customer service.
Amazing! My fiancée and I stopped here for lung on our cheat day and it was well worth it. We started with cannolis nd carrot cake. We loved them both and she doesn't usually care for carrot cake. We then had the garlic knots; one of the best things I've had in a long time. Also shared a calzone with sausage and a meatball sub. Everything was delicious! Will definitely be back.
Never disappoints! Came back on this trip to the VA Beach area. Amazing food. Amazing service! Personable and perfect!

EXCELLENT food & very friendly service!!! I'd recommend this place to anyone. It's a little hidden for those of us that are tourists/visitors, but easy to find! I am grateful for Urbanspoon's app for allowing me to enjoy wonderful food like Mona Lisa's Pizza has to offer! 5 stars!
I'm a New Yorker and think MLP is the best pizza I've had in Hampton Roads. Started by a gent from Rochester, NY, the pizza is just very fresh and dlicious. I'm not a big canoli fan, but I make an exception every time I go and wash it down with their always fresh-brewed coffee.
Garlic Knots. Best garlic knots I have ever had the pleasure of eating.
Yummy!. My husband and I have tried many different delivery pizza joints since we moved to Va beach and this is my favorite! The garlic knots are addicting and the pizza is delicious! I am also a ranch dressing aholic and their dressing is awesome and presumably homemade!
Great food, great service!. We love MLP! Shea makes us feel so welcome. It is one of our most favorite places to go out to dinner.
Fabulous Food. Absolutely with out a doubt the best garlic knots and pizza your money can buy in Virginia Beach. I'm satisfied every time I order. Hot, Fresh, delicious authentic flavor. What more can you ask for?!
A steal for the price. What my wife & I have been searching for is a place that compares to Mama Mia's off of Pleasure House Road & Independence. Since moving from that area, its not so convenient, so we are in search of one relatively close to our new area. So relying on trusty Urbanspoon, we decided to go with Mona Lisa's (glad we did). Alas though, we had to pick it up . . . but no worries there. They have amazingly low prices on carry out items. We went with two 18" pizzas with one topping each. On one we had artichokes (wow) & the other a traditional pepperoni. Both were terrific and kept its warmth on about a 4 mile drive. The two 18" pizzas came to $18.65. That's just over .50 cents a slice. For the taste and quality . . . You can't beat it!
Great Food. My mom stopped by here on her way home from a business meeting for lunch. My hubbie and I have just moved to the lynnhaven area and she highly recomended this place to us. We ordered delivery and it was well worth the price we payed. The pizza was awesome. It's a little more pricey than papa johns but it's worth the extra money. We recomend them to all of our neighbors.

I'm a 757 native and this place rocks. Not exactly the place.to go if you are carb counting but then again, carbs are my friends : ). If you like that "Famous Rays" of New York style pie, then you will dig this place,and the cheese steaks are no joke either
The ROPER!!!!. The Roper is a delicious salad with salami and mazzarella. I used to order that with a a small pepperoni and sausage pizza. I havent been there in over ten years but I still remember how good it was. I wish that I was still in Virginia.

Best kept secret. One of the best NY style pizzarias in Tidewater. The pies are hand tossed, and the other Italian selections are authentic. Great garlic knots! Staff is always welcoming and friendly. Great value for the money.

A small pizza place tucked away in the corner of a shopping center doesn't attract much attention. As a matter of fact if we didn't turn around here we would have drove by like the majority of people. When you are in the restaurant you can tell majority of the business coming from this gem is either carry-out or delivery, but there lies the secret. In the entrance to the restaurant there is a chalkboard with the specials of the day written on it. The deals were very good, just as good if not better than a national pizza chain, but the quality blows the large chains out of the water! It is a basic set-up with a great product, and it's easy to show what they care about, and that is a good pie!
My daughters and I absolutely love the pizza. I got a grilled chicken salad for the first time today and was not disappointed. Service was a little slow in the dining room but was still very courteous. I will definitely go out of my way next time to eat here again the next time I'm craving some pizza.
Totally delicious. My entire family loves this place. Food is so good and the staff is awesome. Service is nice and wait time isn't bad at all. We eat at the location and we've ordered delivery . Delivery was fast a d just as good. This is VA Beach best kept secret. I recommend pizza, subs, wings, pasta, and fries. I know we eat way to much but it's so so good.

If I could give them a higher score I would. These things are the absolute best and will easily be your favorite thing on the menu, they are a little greasy. But in my book that is aces.
And lastly the staff.
These guys are always cool and are a blast. If you have the time, dine in and check out the paintings on the wall, talk to the awesome staff and enjoy a nice hot pizza fresh outta the oven. (And dont forget garlic knots.)
We found this place on vacation and it was some of the best pizza I have ever had. The 9.99 xl special was enough to feed four of us. The server who claimed he was also the chef was friendly and fast. Within 10 minutes of ordering we had our food. Will return again!
The server was awesome. She worked all the tables by herself and did an outstanding job. Food was awesome. It was the first time that I couldn't finish my meal because I was full. It was last Tuesday. I believe her name was Megan.
Came down from Pennsylvania last year to visit my best friend. The first night there we all agreed on pizza. Upon searching I found this place. I went to pick up and their staff memebers were so friendly. Their garlic knots are to die for and I've been craving them since I left last year. My first stop as soon as I get into VA Beach in the next 2 weeks is definitely going to be here for the garlic knots!! I can't wait!! Their Pizza is so good too!!
A solid little Italian joint, but maybe not "fine dining." The food I have had there is always good. It's generally served quickly and prepared appropriately. The restaurant itself could use a little polish, my son noted the table's dispensers were kind of oily and while I didn't think the dining area was terrible it could stand a deep cleaning. (Which is the case for nearly every working restaurant wherever you go) Mona Lisa's is a bit of a hidden gem but worth the trouble to find even with a little flaw or 2.
The calzone was nice and golden and crisp on the outside. The cheese was melty delicious on the inside. This may not be the best calzone you've ever had, but it holds its own. The sauce is decent. Flavors are good. The value is unbeatable. The calzone was huge for under $10. This is a small place. The service was ok. The people were pleasant. I'd come back and eat here again. Not my new favorite restaurant or anything, but I'd rather get a pie from here than Pizza Hut. Worth a try.
Awesome pie! Most pizzas are barely edible near the crust, however, their pizza is amazing at every bite! Thanks 😊! And thanks for taking my order after you closed and delivering it! That's real customer service!
The pizza was really good and the employees were very nice. Billy was an excellent server and made the visit memorable with his attention and service. Will definitely visit on my next trip to VA Beach.
Love the food, everything we order is great, except the girl taking orders recently, she has messed up our order the last three times and than we have to wait longer for it to be fixed. Tonight we waited an extra 20 minutes for the fries she forgot! Will continue to come, but please train her better!

Some of the best pizza in the Tidewater area and at a great price. Great selection of daily specials. Also (if you play ingress) 4 portals, normally level 8, all within reach as you eat!
