We had a party of 18 women and were treated like royalty. The room is warm and inviting and has many conversation pieces.

Love the food and ambiance.
We went for high tea while on vacation. It was really nice! The Cavalier vanilla tea is delicious and the tea set is beautiful. There was a pianist playing beautifully in the background( he took requests). They also only provide Valet service but if you stay at one of the resorts around, they can give you a ride over on the golf cart :) All in all an enjoyable experience!
As a local, I frequent the Raleigh Room on Thursdays for the Bubbles Night Happy Hour and the atmosphere is second to none in Virginia Beach. The cocktails are superb and staff is friendly and attentive.
This is often the busiest night of the week. Madeline, one of the cocktail servers, always takes great care of me and my group of friends when we visit. She greets us with a smile, knows exactly what we want and how we like it. Her great service never fails and she is truly one of the most genuinely nice people you will ever meet anywhere!
Thank you Madeline for making so many Thursdays the best night of the week! I hope management appreciates you as much as we do!
Sooo my wife, and kids did our bi monthly trip to “BECCA AND THE RALEIGH ROOM @ THE CAVALIER!! We didn’t realize that the new menu(for Raleigh, and Becca) were revealed today. We HAD AN AMAZING TIME AS ALWAYS. I cannot say enough about it!!

10/21- Piano lounge, bar, interesting artwork, many different comfortable seating areas. Each night is different. Ladies night can spill outside with live music. Champagne is served for the ladies, Veuve Cliquot, until it runs out. We had a great time relaxing and meeting new friendly people.
Absolutely love the lounge area, delicious cocktails and great atmosphere. Had an amazing birthday with a large group of friends here a couple weekends ago. Every detail in this room is amazing, the piano and 1920s style singer made it all the better.
If you have never been to the Cavalier and the many things you can do their you are truly missing out on one of Virginia Beach's finest locations. The Raleigh room inside is amazing. During the holidays the entire hotel is beautifully decorated. Their food and drinks are devine. P.S. you must try their Ghost Cat drink 😋 PURELY DEVINE! Staff is amazing and they treat you like the characters in the Hallmark movies. The fronr door men are always the sweetest, Valets are super quick, bar tenders at all their locations professional and fun, hostess are polite but welcoming. Bathrooms and all common areas are kept clean. If you have never been you trulely are missing out!
Love the ambiance and the sophistication that fills the room which seems to always put you in a good mood as soon as you enter the building. The decor is classic, yet very modern and filled with lots of fun paintings that tend to be a conversation piece among friends. We always make sure to bring our out-of-town guests to the Raleigh Room to experience some of the best that Virginia Beach has to offer. Sorry I did not take more photos, I will be sure to add to this post soon.
Music was good. Ensure that you find a seat as members will not be served otherwise. Good area to sit in while wanting for your reservations. Beautiful facility. Historic and recently restored in 2018.
Servers were prompt but were terrible with collecting the bill after we paid. Don’t feel comfortable leaving it out.

Great ambiance and always fantastic craft drinks. The staff from the doormen to people bussing tables are so friendly and nice. Their bartenders are working really hard behind the bar. It’s hard to give 5 stars though when it takes 20+ minutes to order a drink. Having no servers takes away from trying to socialize when I have to go to the bar and wait. This is my consistent experience here and is not the fault of those working.
Very impressed with the atmosphere, the bar, the service, and one the the best Old Fashion's (smoked old fashion) I have had in a long time.
Love this place to death. Always a blast when I come here. Bartenders are great too. Only thing is this. This place is literally always being booked out for wedding parties and such. The whole entire downstairs. I understand why, but there has to be a place the public can go while all that’s going on. Call ahead before you go. That’s all.
My husband and I love to come here to people watch, listen to music, and have a coffee and dessert some nights to round out our evening or date night.
It's a beautiful piano bar/lounge with interesting wall decor and framed satirical historic art on the walls.
Live music here is pretty great most of the time and the crowd is always popping.
We love the French press and sorbet but service is hit or miss bc, sometimes we can get it, and sometimes we're told they don't serve it. So it's never consistent.
I've also come here to have high tea with a friend and enjoyed it. It's very fancy and is as close to high tea in England as it gets.
Our delightful servers Isabella and Alexis put the icing on the cake for our Afternoon Tea. They were knowledgeable and very friendly. We had a relaxing and delicious experience.

Update:
I have since gone back and I am STILL in love with this cocktail bar. The same applies as my last review, you definitely should get there super early to get a good table. The music was amazing as always and the staff was once again super friendly. This time it was raining so I was not able to enjoy the outdoors but I will definitely be back in a few weeks to enjoy the nice weather!
This cocktail bar is a game changer. I will never do happy hour the same again. I will say you need to get there super early to get a good table or chair. By 6pm there was no place to sit while sipping the $3 champagne special drinks. Even with the short staff, a little crowded and no where to sit, I still would come back. The ambiance alone was worth it. The people were nice, the staff were great and the live piano player set the evening. For drinks, definitely try the Godfather and the old fashion. For food try the shrimp and the fries. Everything was delicious and I wish it didnt rain so we could have enjoyed the outside decor. I will definitely be coming back to enjoy more happy hours here.
