Visited with my husband because I heard this was the closest I’ll get with “vegan fine dining” and I was not disappointed. It’s a nice ambience with low lighting and white table cloths. The food was delicious & not at all overpriced. We’ll be returning soon. I had pineapple teriyaki tofu & he had duck.

We ordered a sampler platter, hot and sour soup. It was our first time, so we wanted to experience a few different flavors. It did not disappoint. The soup and entre items were delicious. The only potential hang up on this delicious restaurant is the fact that on some items they charge 5-10$ more, per item, than cheaper Chinese food places. I don't mind the slight price increase, and we do be returning.

Had a friend here from western va. She ask me about good Chinese restaurants in the area - my thoughts were imperial palace - I have never had a bad meal there. My friend only eats seafood protein- we had a beautiful seafood dish with large scallops, shrimp and crab legs and pan fried noodles- excellent- I can't see anyone having a problem with The Imperial Palace.

Ordered take out. The owner is very friendly and helpful and even gave me a free sample! The food is fantastic. Best gluten free Chinese food I've found in many states!

I love this place! This was my favorite Chinese food restaurant before I moved to Las Vegas 20 years ago. Now, I come here whenever I return to Hampton Roads to visit my kids. I'm never disappointed, the food is always delicious.

This is old-school Chinese dining at its finest. Recommend the hot and sour soup. Nowadays, "Chinese" cuisine has become so Americanized that it seems that is all grease and sugar. Imperial palace reminds me of the restaurants I enjoyed in the 80's. Good quality food and excellent service.

Extremely fast take out service and good food. Not dirt cheap, but I definitely wouldn’t call it expensive. I ordered general tan chicken with steamed rice and 2 egg rolls for around 15 dollars. The portion was fairly big and tasted good. The chicken was crispy but still had a good sticky sauce. The food came out in under 5 minutes. The service was friendly. I’ll certainly be coming back to this spot.

Mira did an excellent job of hosting my family of 25 to celebrate my parents 51st wedding anniversary. We had an entire dining room and she had the table set and 2 servers (Sarah & Trevi) assigned to our family. We had 3 appetizers (calamari, sesame pancakes and dumplings). For our main entrees we had fried flounder, ribs, seafood bowl, and duck. The food was brought out perfectly and there was so much food that everyone was able to take some home. I would highly recommend The Imperial Palace for the best Chinese food and atmosphere. Mira takes pride in her restaurant and the happiness of her customers.

OMG... Finally a real Chinese restaurant in Virginia Beach!! This elusive restaurant has been hiding from me in plain sight now for almost 10 years. I must have been existing under a rock. Came for lunch and had the General Tan Chicken, hot and sour soup, and fried rice. Every thing was fresh and delicious. The best and freshest veggies I could have imagined. The baby corn tasted like... get this... Corn! I had sworn off Chinese food in Virginia Beach until now. Add to the food a most attentive staff and you have a great Chinese sit down restaurant with very reasonable prices too.

Without a doubt the best wonton soup we have ever had. Loaded with deliciousness! This isn't just both and a couple of wontons. Everything is so very good!
